SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE
Present Tense atau Simple Present Tense digunakan untuk menyatakan peristiwa atau kejadian, kegiatan, aktivitas dan sebagainya yang terjadi saat ini. Present Tense juga digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu Fakta, atau sesuatu yang tejadi berulang-ulang dimasa KINI. Ingat,PRESENT artinya adalah kini, sekarang.
Rumusnya : Positif: S + V1 (s/es) Negatif: S + DO/DOES + NOT + V1 Tanya: DO/DOES + S + V1
Contoh :I drink coffee (+)She does not drink coffee (-)Do you drink cofee? (?)
SIMPLE PAST TENSE
Past Tense adalah untuk menyatakan peristiwa yang telah “Lampau”.
Rumus: Positif: S + V2 Negatif: S + did not + V1 Tanya: Did + S + V1
Contoh : I launched this blog on july 14th 2009 (+)My Father did not buy this car last year(-)When did my father buy this car?
FUTURE TENSE
Future Tense atau Simple Future digunakan untuk menyatakan peristiwa yang Akan Terjadi.
Rumus : Positif: S + will + V1 Negatif: S + will + not + V1 Tanya: Will + S + V1
Contoh:They will visit Tokyo (+)They will not visit Tokyo (-)Will They visit Tokyo? (?)
PRESENT CONTINOUS TENSE
Present Continuous Tense digunakan untuk menyatakan, mengatakan suatu yang sedang terjadi saat ini, sedang berlangsung saat ini.
Rumusnya: Positif: S + Tobe + V+ing Negatif: S + Tobe+ Not+ V+ing Tanya: Tobe + S + V+ing
Contoh :I am studying English right now (+)We are not playing basketball at the moment (-)Are you reading book in bookstore right now? (?)
PRESENT PERFECT TENSEPresent Perfect Tense menekankan pada PERFECT nya . Perfect artinya “sempurna”.
Rumusnya : Positif: S + have/has + V3 Negatif: S + have/has Not + V3 Tanya: Have/has + S + V3
Contoh : I have written english lesson for 30 minutes (+)He has not written English lesson for 30 minutes (-)Have you written English lesson for 30 minutes? (?)
Has: He, She, It, John, Merry, Mufli Have: You, We, They, Ellen and Budi
