Reaksi pada mixer:

CH3COO Na + C3H5OH + H2O CH3COO Na + C3H5OH + H2O

Pada mixer hanya terjadi pencampuran dengan air, hasil dari pencampuran tersebut dialirkan ke dalam spray tower, di sini campuran tadi di semprot dengan udara agar tidak mengandung air, dan di dapat detergent berbentuk butiran, sedangkan hasil yang tidak dipakai akan di buang.
