Lampiran 4. Perhitungan Asam Basa Dibuat 500 granul dengan berat 300 mg tiap granul effervescent

Perhitungan asam dan basa untuk setiap formula.

Asam yang digunakan adalah asam sitrat dan asam tartrat serta bagian

basa digunakan natrium bikarbonat. Berikut adalah reaksi asam sitrat dan asam

tartrat dengan natrium bikarbonat:

H3C6H5O7.H2O + 3NaHCO3 → Na3C6H5O7 + 4H2O + 3CO2 asam sitrat + Na-bikarbonat → Na-sitrat + air + C. dioksida H2C4H4O6 + 2NaHCO3 → Na2C4H4O6 + 2H2O + 2CO2 asam tartarat + Na-bikarbonat → Na-tartat + air + C.dioksida

Berdasarkan reaksi diatas, dapat diketahui bahwa untuk menetralkan 1

mol asam sitrat dibutuhkan 3 mol natrium bikarbonat. Serta untuk menetralkan 1

mol asam tartrat dibutuhkan 2 mol natrium bikarbonat. Maka perbandinganya

adalah:

a) Asam sitrat

Jika 2 gram asam sitrat (BM 210) bereaksi dengan 2,4 gram natrium bikarbonat

(BM 84) dengan perhitungan:

x = 2,4

b) Asam tartrat

Jika 2 gram asam tartrat (BM 150) bereaksi dengan 2,24 gram natrium bikarbonat

(BM 84) dengan pehitungan:

x = 2,24

Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa natrium bikarbonat yang dibutuhkan untuk

bereaksi dengan 2 gram asam sitrat dan 2 gram asam tartrat adalah 4,64 dengan

perhitungan:

2,4 gram + 2,24 gram = 4,64 gram natrium bikarbonat.

Maka perbandingan asam sitrat : asam tartrat : natrium bikarbonat adalah 2:2:4,64

Untuk berat total asam- basa granul effervescent 2 : 2 : 4,64 = 8,64 = 9 gram

Asam sitrat = 2/9 x 2 g = 0,444 g = 0,5 g

Asam tartrat = 4/9 x 2 g = 0,888 g = 1 g

Asam sitrat = 4/9 x 2 g = 0,888 g = 1 g

Formula IV

Asam sitrat = 1/9x 2 g = 0,222 g = 0,25 g

Asam tartrat = 3/9 x 2 g = 0,666 g = 0,75 g

Na. Bikarbonat = 4/9x 2 g = 0,888 g = 1 g

Formula V

Asam sitrat = 3/9 x 2 g = 0,666 g = 0,75 g

Asam tartrat = 1/9x 2 g = 0,222 g = 0,25 g

Karena dengan ekstrak tomat 300 mg dan buah tomat 500 mg sudah

memiliki aktivitas antioksidan lebih dari 50 % maka dapat digunakan dalam

formula.
