Contoh Recount Text : Pangandaran BeachThe tour to Pangandaran Beach started on holiday last semester. We decided to go to
Pangandaran Beach by our motorbike. That was very interesting tour. Riding a motorbike from
my hometown, Cirebon, to Pangandaran Beach with my best friends made me feel exited.
The tour to Pangandaran Beach began at 09.00 a.m. in the morning and it took 5 hours riding to
Pangandaran Beach. There were so many story that my friends and I got when we were in the
tour such as there was my friend who got lost, ran out of fuel in the middle of jungle, and so forth.
But it was interesting, because it was the first moment that I ever had in touring.
We arrived at Pangandaran Beach at 02.00 p.m. and we stright to move to the beach. At beach
we just lied down there to stretch our muscle because of 5 hours riding. We also had a lunch
there by eating some foods that we brought from Cirebon. That was very nice moment when we
shared our own food to others.

After we had enough rest, we began to explore Pangandaran Beach. Started by exploring the
beach, and the sea using rented boat. Then we went to dive by renting some diving equipment. We
could see many coral there. We just had 2 hours to enjoy Pangandaran Beach because we had to
come back to Cirebon.
We came back to Cirebon at 04.00 p.m. It was imposible to ride in the night, so we just decided to
stay over in our friend house in Ciamis and we started to come back in the morning. That was
very nice experience that I and my friends ever had. We would never forget that moment.
5. Analitycal exposition
Corruption and Indonesian Culture
Thesis:
Corruption has happened for many years and today it becomes a bad culture in Indonesia for three reasons.
Argument 1:
Most adult Indonesian or foreigners have known and admitted that corruptions happen in many places. The dailynewspapers, news programs on TV and radio have reported corruptions are done everywhere, almost in all departmentsor public services of this country. Corruptions happen in health, education departments and banks. When we manage toget some documents in public service offices, we usually need much money to pay. Manipulations happen everywhere.
Argument 2:
The actions to eliminate corruption are weak. The ever stronger culture seems not to come to an end when theresponsible institutions who have to reinforce the justice today commit corruption. This is the worst. Corruptions happen inpolice department, courts where judges, public prosecutors, lawyers make deals to do corruption. All of us also heard inthe end of 2004, Probosutejo reported that he had bribed the Supreme Court, or called Mahkamah Agung which becomesthe highest level where the justice can be obtained. Perhaps you have to try to come to the local courts and see whathappen there. You will see practices of bribery and other kinds of corruption. Therefore, we can say that corruptionsbecomes our culture. Do you like it?
Argument 3:
The citizens have no goodwill to fight against the corruption. They create the situations in which people have opportunitiesto do corruptions. The citizens like to break the rules because they are not disciplined. For example, in the street whenthey drive a car or ride motorcycle, they do not have the driving license or necessary documents. Then, they are caughtby the local policemen. To avoid more difficulties, they like to bribe the officer. The officer let them go then. In other words, the citizens and officers are the same, doing corruption together. If only the people were critical, disciplined, and obey therules, and willing to report any wrong behaviors, this country will not be number one corrupting country in the world.
Reiteration / conclusion:
Conclusion Based on the reasons, we can conclude that corruption is becoming a bad culture in Indonesia if it is notended soon by all of us. It seems that there must be more severe penalty for the Corruptors. Do we still care about thefuture of this country?

Detective Sherlock Holmes and his friend Dr. Watson back on the cinema through the 'A Game of Shadows'.
After the success of his first film in 2009, Guy Ritchie re-directed sequel of 'Sherlock Holmes'.
A bomb exploded in Strassbourg, England soon became headlines in several newspapers. Holmes (Robert
Downey Jr.) who disguised as a beggar was busy stalking Irene Adler (Rachel McAdams), his enemy whichalso his idol that brings an important package.
In the sequel of 'Sherlock Holmes' this time, Professor. James Moriarty (Jared Harris) to be the most
dangerous enemy. Moriarty is not the kind of people who are hesitant to remove the lives of many people in
order to achieve the goal. Explosions in Strassbourg is one of the results of Prof. Moriarty's creation.
Holmes nosy busy when his friend, Dr. Watson (Jude Law) is getting married, because marriage would
automatically make Holmes lost his partner in investigating the case.
A gypsy woman, Madam Sinza Heron (Noomi Rapace), helped Holmes the adventure this time. There was
also the Holmes brother, Mycroft Holmes (Stephen Fry) who come to be an accomplice of the detective this
time.
Arguably, the visual effect of 'A Game of Shadow' is more stable than its predecessor. A few slow-movement
scenes later find in the cease-fire. Colors are displayed also feels right.
Farce as those made by Holmes and several other characters in the film guaranteed to invite laughter. The
chemistry between Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law is not be doubted anymore. Since in the first film, the
two men are able to captivate the audience and not be missed.
Chess compete between Holmes and Prof. Moriarty became the ultimate point. They both described the
mind wanders respectively. Do you intrigued with the acting of the detective? The film 'Sherlock Holmes: A
Game of Shadows' can be an alternative entertainment at this weekend.
7. Discussion
The Advant age and Disadvantage of the Internet
Computer, tablet, mobile phone, and other devices connected to Internet have been the most outstanding innovation in the history
of mankind. As with every single innovation, internet has its own advantages and disadvantages.
The target of internet has always been the communication. By the advent of computer's Internet, our earth has reduced and has

attained the form of a global village. Now we can communicate in a fraction of second with a person who is sitting in the other
parts of the world. Today for better communication, we can avail the facilities of e-mail; we can chat for hours with our loved ones.
There are plenty messenger services in offering. With help of such services, it has become very easy to establish a kind of global
friendship.
However, Internet also has disadvantageous sides. One of them is the wide spread of unsuitable content for kids. It is a very
serious issue and related to children's healthy mental life. There are thousands of such inappropriate contents on the Internet
which can be easily found.
Though, internet can also create havoc, destruction and its misuse can be very fatal, the advantages of it outweigh its
disadvantages.
National Exam in Pros and Cons
National exam becomes the hot topic in most of discussions. Though the Supreme Court has rejected an appeal by the go-
vernment on the organization of the national exams, the controversy over whether it is necessary to maintain the national exams
(UN) has continued. Some debates include the primary questions such as; does the quality of Indonesia education depend on the
national exam?, will the quality of the Indonesian education system worsen without national exam?
People, who support the national exam explain that the quality of the Indonesia education system will drop without the national
exam, so they try to defend the current system.
Hoever there are people who disagree with the opinion. Those who against this national exam kept in our high school education
say that it doesn't need the national exams because the quality of education does not just depend on the national exam. Further,
the national exam only measures a small portion of students' competence in specific subjects, and does not measure students'
competences throughout the semester.
In fact, the national examination can still be useful as an instrument to evaluate or detect the level of students' cognitive
competence in several subjects, on a national scale.
Gif t Cards Br ing Advantages and Disadvantages
Gift cards become more popular during recent years. For example, in one season of holiday, sales reach $19 billion in United
Stated and seem to grow more in the following season due to their convenience in the side of consumers and retailers.
In retailers side, gift cards bring them some benefits. Selling gift card in simply selling product. When the cards are sold, they will
get benefit. Additionally, gift card tends to be a matter of image and trend which means it is not strictly influenced by the
functionality. Since gift card is the trend, the sales will increase significantly.
However, there is potential disadvantages in the side of consumers. For example, itune gift cards apply process in the way of
completing the shopping. they need do one step to another steps in processing the shopping. Likely, most of the steps apply time
and date of validity or expiration. When certain step loose that validating date, the gift cards may be in risk. The gift card can be
rejected to redeem. Again, in retailers side, producing card its self is costly. It means that there is additional cost which retailers
have to pay.

In whatever thing, we need to be wise. if we can use that gift card effectively, the disadvantages can be reduced.
8. Report
Tornadoes are known as one of the most damaging disasters. What is the
description of tornadoes? A tornado is a very powerful column of winds which
spirals around a center of low atmospheric pressure. A tornado will look like a
large black funnel which hangs down from a storm cloud.
The name "tornado" derives from the Latin "tonare". It means "to thunder." While
the Spanish developed the word into "tornear" which means "to turn or twist".
This is why a tornado is sometimes called twister or cyclone.
The winds inside a twister can spin around at speeds up to 500 miles an hour, but it usually travels at roughly 300 miles an hour. This speed twisting makes a
tornado the most dangerous storm.
The average tornado has a diameter of about 200 to 300 yards. The smaller
tornadoes are known as satellite tornadoes. These small offspring, about 50
yards across, can be very fierce and do lots of damage.
The forming of a tornado can be very quick. Sometimes it can form in a minute or
less. A tornado can travel across the ground at high speeds, then it can suddenly
vanish. Most tornadoes last less than twenty minutes and travel less than 15
miles. However, the super storms sometimes travel over 100 miles before they
are exhausted.

Ali Baba
Once upon a time there were 40 cruel thieves who put their stolen money and treasures in a cave. They went in the cave
by saying Open Sesame to the cave entrance. A poor person, named Ali Baba saw them while they were doing that, so
he heard the opening word. After they left, he went toward the cave and opened it. Suddenly he found a very large
quantity of money and golden treasures. He took some of it and went back home. After that he became a rich man and his
brother wanted to know how he became rich.
Ali Baba turned into the richest man in his village. His evil brother was really jealous of him, and wanted to know how he
could get such a lot of money. Therefore, when Ali Baba went to the cave again to take some more money, his brother
followed him. He saw everything, and decided to go back the next day to take some money for himself. The next morning
he found a lot of money in the cave, and he wanted to take all of them. Unfortunately, when he was busy carrying the
money to his house, the thieves came. The boss of the thieves asked him how he knew about the cave. He told
everything, but unluckily they killed him and went to Ali Babas house.
After finding Ali Babas house, they made a plan to kill him the following night. Some of the thieves hid in big jars, and the
boss pretended that he was a merchant who wanted to sell the jars to Ali Baba. Ali Baba who was a kind man invited the
boss of the thief to have lunch together.
After lunch they took a rest. Luckily, the house maid went out of the house, and found that there were thieves inside the
jars. She finally boiled hot oil and poured it into the jars to kill all of them. The boss of the thieves was caught, and put into
prison.
Ali Baba was saved from the danger, and he finally lived happily ever after with his maid who became his wife shortly
after.

How does Rain Happen?
Rain is the primary source of fresh water for most areas of the world, providing
suitable conditions for diverse ecosystems, as well as water for hydroelectric
power plants and crop irrigation.
The phenomenon of rain is actually a water circle. The concept of the water cycleinvolves the sun heating the Earth's surface water and causing the surface water
to evaporate. The water vapor rises into the Earth's atmosphere. The water in the
atmosphere cools and condenses into liquid droplets. The droplets grow until
they are heavy and fall to the earth as precipitation which can be in the form of
rain or snow.
However, not all rain reaches the surface. Some evaporates while falling through

regions.
Explanation Text about How Cell Phones Work18 December 2009
A cell phone is a great gadget in this modern world. What is a cell phone? A cellphone is actually a radio in certain way. Like a radio, by a cell phone we cancommunicate to other people in real time. Million people use cell phone for theircommunication. Even nowadays, people use cell phones to communicate invoice, written and data. Alexander Graham Bell is the person who make greatchange in the way people communicate to each other. He invented a telephonein 1876. While wireless radio was formally known in 18994 presented byGuglielmo Marconi. By these two technologies, then a cell phone was born. However do you know how actually cell phones work? This short explanation on how a cell phone work is really wonderful. A cell phoneor in long term "cellular telephone' works by transmitting signals of radio totowers of cellular. The towers are networked to a central switching station. Theconnection usually uses wire, fiber optic-cables, ormicrowave. Then the central switching station which handles calls in certain given area isdirected connected to the wire-based telephone system. Cellulars are pick up bythe towers and relayed to another cellular telephone user or the user of wire-based telephone network.the towers vary in the capacity and capability to receive signals. Some canreceive the signal from short distance and the others can receive more distance.
However, there are usually more than one tower in certain given area so that thesystem can handle the increasing telephone traffic.
