Dr Frank F Islama man with vision & mission

Mr. Frank F. Islam is an acknowledged thought leader of our times.His name is synonymous with excellence in education, entrepreneurship and philanthropy.He is widely acclaimed for his notable contribution to the humanity, especially to community and public service.

Mr. Frank F. Islam initially made a mark as an entrepreneur. Later, he established himself as philanthropist, civic leader and writer. He has a special commitment for educational causes and performing Arts. He strives to create opportunities uplifting for humanity, especially those that are leading the life at the periphery. He strives to inculcate among them virtues of hard work, focus, quality and innovation.

Mr Frank Islam was born in Kaunra Gahni, a village of Azamgarh district in Uttar Pradesh, India in 1953. After completing his education at AMU Aligarh, where he obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mathematics. He proceeded to the US to pursue his Masters in Computer Science at the University of Colorado, Boulder. He founded an Information Technology firm, the QSS Group in 1994 and built it from a single employee to more than 2,000 employees with revenues of approximately $300m before its sale. Mr. Islam currently heads the FI Investment Group, a private investment holding company that he established in 2007.

Aligarh Muslim University has conferred on him the degree of Doctor of Science honoris causa in recognition of his extraordinary contribution to the University. He expresses his gratitude by generously donating Rs 13 Crores to expand academic facilities at his alma mater, and thus to create Frank & Debbie Islam Management Complex in a significant manner. A notable feature of this endowment is creation of a Frank and Debbie chair that shall focus on innovation, entrepreneurship, Corporate Social Responsibility and ethical business leadership.

Apart from receiving the prestigious Martin Luther King Jr. Legacy Award for International Service for 2015 & The Indus Entrepreneurs (Tie) Legends Award for 2014. Frank Islam has also been presented 'Sir Ross Masood Lifetime Achievement Award 2015 for Excellence in Leadership, Education, Community and Public Service in recognition of his distinguished leadership, community and public service and philanthropy by Aligarh Alumni Association New York.Recently UP Govt honored him with prestigious UP Ratana Award on the eve of first UP Pravasi Diwas on 4th January 2016 in Agra.

Like a true leader, he takes on all these daunting roles in his stride with effortless ease and manages them with a warm heart and a cool mind.
