Sungai Tiram is one of the slum area in North Jakarta. Located between Sunter and Ancol.

Demographic of the people :

- Majority is Moslem but there is already a Christian Community. Interact between people of different religion is good.

Profile of Sungai Tiram

- Most of the housewife is not working or else working but not as a full-time worker.

There are already 2 local staff that maintain a Christian fellowship there. There is a Tuesday School for children (attended by ± 120 children) also helped by GKY Sunter’s activist, a Saturday Youth Ministry (attended by ± 15 teenagers) and Bible Study for adult people

There are also 3 private classes, held by GKY Sunter, and also a fund loan scholarship for the student that attends private class that open for all children regardless of their religion

Our target is to empower housewife!
