Four Day Online FDP and Workshop on

‘MOODLE LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM’

May 11 to May 14, 2020

Organized byInternal Quality Assurance Cell

University of Mumbai

The Covid19 pandemic has brought all educators on one common agreement and that is face-2-face teaching has to be supplemented with online teaching-learning. Teachers have started taking online sessions to complete syllabus and in doing so have probably just replicated classroom teaching in the online teaching! And this is what we shouldn’t be doing. Online teaching pedagogy is to be understood and teachers should be well-trained in this area. University teachers are experts in their subject domain but have never been trained in the e-learning domain. University of Mumbai has been using MOODLE Learning Management System for the past 12 years, though restricted to IDOL initially but now being adapted by more departments. As the usage is definitely going to increase, a need for rigorous training on MOODLE is necessary now.

In view of above, the IQAC, University of Mumbai, is conducting a 4-days Faculty Development Program and workshop on MOODLE for University of Mumbai’s Kalina, Thane, Ratnagiri and Fort campus/sub-center teachers only.
