* Test results for IP Routing @ IMIX
Clocked interface speed was the limit.
Tested with one onboard interface pairs on 4300 = 2 Gbps
Tested with two onboard interface pairs on 4400 = 4 Gbps
Room for higher throughput with more interfaces or
additional services with maintained throughput
• Throughput gains when previously hitting the Performance license limit** • IPSec 256 AES with IMIX in Boost
• 4331 @ 565 Mbps = 2x throughput compared to 300 Mbps Perf license
• 4451 @ 1.6 Gbps = Same throughput as with 2 Gbps Perf license
** Applicable to most ISR4k platforms and test cases. Exceptions exist for 4331 and 4351 in that Boost repurposes cores on 4331 & 4351

• VG is registered to CME or CUCM over ‘STCAPP’.
• On the CME we will configure voice hunt group and under telephony-service – ‘hunt-group logout Hlog’.
• With CUCM – When adding details for an endpoint, we can select the default value – Login/Logout whenever an endpoint comes up.
• The login/logout to a hunt group is a toggle feature.
• The default FAC is #*9 to login/logout to a Hunt group.
• With CME – When the endpoint comes up its in Unknown state. Press the default FAC it will move into Logout. Then press the FAC again the endpoint will be in Login state.
• On the VG the CLI – “show stcapp device voice-port <port>” will show Hunt group status –show stcapp device voice-port 0/0/0 | sec HGHG Status: Logout
Hunt Group Login/Logout
• The VG3x0 FXS-E ports are capable of driving 1400 ohms of loop resistance including the phone impedance, subtract 300 ohms for phone impedance and you have a maximum of 1100 ohms of loop impedance.
• Datasheet loop-length distance specs are based on commonly used 26AWG and 24AWG wire
• Longer distances can be achieved using higher grade wire based on resistance per 1000 ft, for example:
• 22AWG wire has a resistance of 16.14 ohms per 1000 ft
• Multiply 16.14 by 2 for a total of 32.3 ohms for the tip/ring loop when the circuit is closed
• 22AWG wire can achieve ~31,000 ft of loop-length
Long loop-length Specs
Important Note: These calculations are based on the
supported DC loop resistance. Other factors related to the
quality of the wire lines such as signal attenuation and noise
could also impact the maximum loop length capabilities

• VG310, VG320 & VG350 support auto-configuration when provisioned
with the Cisco Unified Communications Manager
• VG self-provisions itself with the configuration provided and becomes
operational to work with the CUCM using the SCCP Protocol.
• For CUCM controlled SCCP endpoints (STCAPP endpoints),
configurations are needed on both CUCM and VG sides
• CUCM needs to be configured first, then those configurations can be
pushed to VG so that VG can generated associated Configs/CLIs
• VG can initiate the process, which causes the file to be downloaded
to VG
• Configurations XML file can be pushed to VG from CUCM
