PUBLIC SECTOR INNOVATION SHOW
AUSTRALIAN PUBLIC SECTORINNOVATION SHOWThe step-change guide for responsive, seamless and efficient services for all Australians
Tuesday, 31 March 2020 | National Convention Centre, Canberra

Public sector culture, procedures and organisational structure have evolved over a long period; up until now, its existence hinged upon risk-minimisation and efficiency. The old ways have no room for major change.
Citizens today expect more transparent, accessible, and responsive services from the public sector. And those expectations are rising. Governments face not only declining citizen satisfaction and eroding public trust but also increasing costs associated with delivering services across multiple channels.
Disruption is taking the Governments all around the world down the innovation path a little faster than their processes were designed. They’re struggling with legacy: systems, policies, routines, way of thinking.
Innovation requires systemic change in most aspects of management, training, planning, decision making and the deeper levels of culture, routines and accountability. The transformation efforts of Australia’s public service organisations are united by one compelling reason: to provide seamless and efficient services for all Australians.
How best to begin, guide and sustain the transformation of public sector organisations remains a central challenge. The Australian Public Sector Innovation Show (APSIS) will feature Government leaders who will share real cases to show what government innovation looks like, how to make it happen and how to maintain cadence.
Join your peers in Canberra who are invested in helping Australians thrive in a digital world. Get inspired our nation’s public service leaders and out-of-the-box masterminds; see through a different lens as they show you how they develop and deliver services, with the help of transformative tools, technologies, and processes.
