Kurikulum 1994 yang diberlakukan saat ini menuntut disediakannya buku-buku pelajaran, baik buku teks utama maupun buku teks pelengkap yang sesuai.

Buku ini kami susun berdasarkan Kurikulum Muatan Lokal Pendidikan Dasar,Garis-garis Besar Program Pengajaran (GBPP) 1994 Sekolah Dasar, MataPelajaran Bahasa lnggris. Buku ini diadakan untuk memotivasi dan mendorongsiswa agar lebih siap dan percaya diridalam mempelajari bahasa lnggris ditingkatselanjutnya serta mendapatkan keterampilan berbahasa yang sederhana sesuaidengan topik yang dekat dengan sis-wa. Latihan dan permainan diberikan agarsiswa.mudah memahami dan lebih bergainah dalam mempelajari bahasa lnggris.Pada bagian akhir disajikan "pronunciation' yang disusun secam alfabetis agarsiswa terbantu dalam melafalkan kata-kata bahasa lnggris.

Buku inijuga praktis bagi para guru karena sbsuai dengan hakikat Kurikulum1994 yang memberi peluang bagi para guru untuk mengembangkan sendiri GarisBesar Program Pengajaran sesuai dengan situasi dan kondisi setempat.
