Vision & Mission

Dr. R. M. Chitnis, is associated with the noble field of education for more than 3decades, has contributed significantly to every organization’s growth that heworked for. He was nominated and actively worked for various academic rolesand responsibilities in Savitribai Phule Pune University (formerly known as theUniversity of Pune). He has been pioneer of various important activities at MITWPU like International Summer Schools, Business Simulation Program formanagement students, intercollegiate festivals such as Enthusia and SportsFiesta and Short-term Certificate Courses like Business English to name a few.

He is recognized as a Ph.D. research guide by VU University, Amsterdam,Netherlands. He is also recognized as a PhD guide by Savitribai Phule PuneUniversity and Symbiosis International University. He has executed more than 4National and 2 International projects He has more than 11 National andInternational research publications to his credit and have authored 11 books.

He is the Chairman of NAAC Peer Team for accreditation of various Institutes andUniversities. He is Academic Peer Reviewer on QS International University Ratingsystem. He is the member of the University Grants Commission (UGC- New Delhi)committee of STRIDE: - Scheme for Trans-disciplinary Research for AcademicInstitutes and Universities. He has travelled overseas and visited reputeduniversities abroad and has been successful in establishing MoUs/ AcademicAgreements with International Universities for Summer School, Joint Research,and Faculty and student exchange. He is recipient of many awards like BestTeacher Award on Education Management by Higher Education Forum of India(HEF), Ideal Citizen Award, Pune Municipal Corporation.

Dr. R. M. Chitnis is known for his futurist clear vision, conviction and the ability tobring ideas into reality quite efficiently and successfully by working in a team.

Vice Chancellor

Dr. Srinivas Subbarao, has over 26 years of experience in teaching, research, andacademic administration.

He is an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad He has been trained from Nagpur University,IIM-Ahmedabad, National Law University Odisha, IIT Kharagpur, and theUniversity of Cambridge - UK for his higher studies in business education,research, academic administration, and higher education management.

He is a Professor of Entrepreneurship and International Business.

He did his Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship from Nagpur University and Post-Doctoralfrom Berhampur University on “FDI in Indian Tourism Sector and Ph.D. in lawfrom National Law University, Odisha.

He presented papers at more than 55 national and international conferencesaround the world.

He is an approved research guide from five Universities and so far ten PhD’s wereawarded under his guidance.

He published 30 books and 140 research articles in various national andinternational journals. He also successfully completed the India-China academicexchange programme in China which was supported by Minister of HRD andChinese Academy of Social Sciences.

He received the Best Teacher Award from JNTU, Kakinada for the years 2009-2013. and AIMS-IRMA Outstanding Management Teacher award from theDirector, IRMA in 2016 at MICA, Ahmedabad. He received the Best Startup Boot-camp Award from Shri Naveen Patnaik, the Chief Minister of Odisha, in StartupIndia Yatra (2018).

Dean and Director

Dr. Bapat holds a Masters Degree in Computer Application (MCA -Science) and then went on to earn a Post Graduate Diploma in BusinessManagement (PGDBM) and Master of Management Studies (MMS) witha Marketing Specialization, where he secured first position.

He holds a PhD in Digital Marketing. He has also published 2 patentsand several Research Papers in Internationally reputed Journals.

His knowledge in the fields of academia, industry, and consulting isimpressive. He is the former Managing Director of ERiS InfoTech Pvt.Ltd., a firm that specializes in computer software development andconsulting.

He has extensive teaching expertise in the fields of computer science,applications, and management. His major interest is in research. He wasalso a member of the Ad-hoc Board of Studies for BBA(CA) at SavitribaiPhule Pune University (SPPU) and the Board of Studies for MIT WorldPeace University’s Management UG Programs. He is also a laureate ofMAEER's MIT Group of Institutions’ "Ideal Teacher Award 2018.“

Dr. Bapat works in the field of social welfare as well. He is now VicePresident of a Nonprofit Foundation, which is a charitable trust thatworks for the general welfare of society by providing schoolscholarships, sponsoring old age homes, and financially assisting poorindividuals. He is the author of almost a dozen book publications.
