It's always nice to feel appreciated when someone says something kindabout you! It also feels good to give others compliments and let themknow what you appreciate about them! Once you make your complimentjar, the next time you want to give a compliment, pick a card and fill itout. If you want to make your own compliment cards, pick a few of thefeel-good compliment words to help you get started!
Keep the jar where you will see it often (the dinnertable, your desk, etc.) When you want to give acompliment, pick a card from the jar and fill in thespace provided.
How to create The Jar of Compliments
Print pages 2 and 3. Cut out the complimentcards and labels. Print page 4 to make your own!

When children support other people, it underlines their knowledge that struggling
isn’t personal. It’s part of the growth. It’s not about fixing it — it’s about letting
someone know they aren’t alone and that their feelings aren’t too big or unnatural.
