REASONS TO SPONSOR
We believe community begins with conversation. We believe that when people respect and know how to communicate with others who are different from them, everyone benefits.
What We Do
NCCJ is dedicated to fighting bias, bigotry and racism in all their forms. We specialize in human relations and leadership training for young people and adults.
We work year-round with students, educators and companies in the Piedmont Triad and across the state of North Carolina to promote understanding and respect among all cultures, races, and religions through advocacy, education, and dialogue.
Our flagship program is Anytown, a week-long human relations and youth leadership program that brings high school students together to tackle tough questions about topics like race, gender, religion and more, while building community with a diverse group of their peers.
Throughout the school year, we work with students and educators to build more inclusive, respectful school environments.
We’ve Worked With:
• Students in public and independent schools in Guilford County and beyond
• Educators at schools including North Carolina A&T University, High Point University, Davidson County Community College, and Greensboro Day School
• Businesses like Syngenta, Replacements, Ltd., Cone Health Foundation, Liberty Hardware, and Genworth Financial
• Government including the City of Greensboro, the Greensboro Police Department, and the State of North Carolina
• Community groups like the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce, Elsewhere, the International Visitor Leadership Program, GreenHill, and various houses of worship
Questions? Want to know more about our programs? We would love to hear from you. Contact us at (336) 272-0359 or [email protected]

R MISSION
To build compassionate
and just communities free of bias, bigotry,
and racism
The Citation Award Dinner will take place virtually AND in-person this year on Wednesday, November 10. You're invited to chose the option that works best for you and your guests. (Note that in-person attendance at the Koury Convention Center is capped at 500 people - spots are limited, so if you plan to attend in-person we encourage you to tell us now!) However you choose to attend, you'll join 1,000+ community and business leaders for an inspiring evening of celebrating our honorees and the Triad's commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Flow of the evening:
5:45 - Reception & social hour
6:45 - Dinner & program
While this year’s Dinner will look different, the important things remain the same. Just like we do every year, NCCJ will present the Brotherhood/Sisterhood Citation Award to leaders in our community in recognition of their extraordinary humanitarian work to make our community a better place for all of us – not just some of us.
If you are attending in-person, dinner and drinks will be served at your table. If you are attending virtually, we can still share a meal “together,” as each virtual ticket holder and guest of a sponsor will have the option to receive a voucher for a takeout meal from a locally owned restaurant.*
Stay tuned for an announcement about this year's Citation Award honorees (coming soon!) Visit nccjtriad.org/citation to learn more about our past Citation Award Honorees.
The Citation Award Dinner is NCCJ’s major annual fundraiser, providing nearly half of the funds we need to sustain and grow our work of fighting bias, bigotry and racism. Demand for NCCJ’s programs has skyrocketed since last summer and shows no sign of slowing. We look forward to sharing our mission and showcasing some of the work that’s made possible thanks to the generous support of people like you.
