24. Outreach Professional work and Community Service: 1. Developed a Simplified Planning Tool for Integrated Water and Sanitation Systems for Njoro
Township. This is a planning tool to be used by Town Water Engineers, Planners and
Consultants for designing sustainable water and sanitation systems for Njoro and other
townships. This was done from the CLARA Project funds (2011-2014).
2. Prepared a short Course and trained the Water Engineers, Planners and Consultants from
Within Nakuru and Baringo Counties on the use of the Simplified Planning Tool for Integrated
Water and Sanitation Systems.
3. Designed and implemented Improved Water and Sanitation Systems for Schools in Nakuru
and Baringo Counties (2006-2015).
4. Designed and implemented innovative Urinals for Girls, Urine Dry Diverting Toilets (UDDTs)
for Schools (2006-2015).
5. Developed and prepared a comprehensive participatory Strategic Sanitation & Waste Plans
(SSWPs) for the then Nakuru Municipal Council. This was done from the ROSA Project funds
(2006-2010).
6. Prepared a Collaborative Support Programme to enhance Schools’ Sustainable Water,
Sanitation, Hygiene and Education. This is being funded by S::CAN, Austria (2010-todate).
