Indonesia is very diverse, in terms of language and ethnic. And the people spread out throughout thousands of islands across the nation. Since 1928, every October 28, Indonesian celebrate “Sumpah Pemuda”. It’s a vow to unite all the people of Indonesia, be in one Language, one Nation and one Country.
However, these spirit of Sumpah Pemuda has been fading. Especially the language. There’s so many Indonesian not having a pride with their own language.
To reignite the spirit, Kompas Newspaper created #AkuIndonesia campaign.
