Chuncheon Myeongdong has been known for its famous Dak-galbi and now there are around 25 restaurants in the area. The dish is prepared by marinating chopped chicken in spicy red pepper paste with peppery seasoning for about one day. Cabbage, green onions, sweet potatoes and rice cakes are then added and the ingredients are all placed in a large cast iron pan. The mixture is then typically stir-fried at the table. Gamcheon Culture Village is well known as Santorini of Korea and also Korea’s Machu Pichu. This place is originally a sanctuary for Korean War refugees in early 50’s. The refugees then stayed and settled in this neighborhood of Busan. The residents then grow to more 4,000 residents and around 800 houses in the area. Tourist can enjoy beautiful art and mural in this village too. Do not forget the fabulous atmosphere and view while walking around this village!

Located in Busan, a port city and the second largest city of Korea, Centum City is a super large-scale shopping space that also offers leisure and cultural facilities including a spa, a skating rink and a multiplex theater. Centum City is listed as the world’s largest department store in the Guinness World Records.

Gukje Market (남포동 국제 시장)

Jagalchi Fish Market is the largest seafood market in Korea. This market represents Busan and it is famous throughout the country. If you visit here, you can eat fresh raw fish right away at the market. Even up to these days, you may see women selling mackerel, sea squirts (ascidians) and whale meat on wooden boxes along the alleys.

Following the Korean War, refugees who had fled to Busan set up stalls in order to make a living, and this was the beginning of the “Gukje Market”. The Gukje Market is one of Korea’s largest markets where each alleyway is crowded with stalls, and it connects to the Bupyeong Market, Kkangtong Market, and other smaller markets. The market stocks such a wide variety of goods, that you can find almost everything you need right here.

Gwangan Bridge (부산 광안 대교)

Busan Gwangandaegyo Bridge (Busan 66, also called Gwangan Daero) stretches over 7.4km from Namcheon-dong (Suyeong-gu, Busan) to Centum City (U-dong, Haeundae-gu). It is the largest bridge over the ocean in Korea.

Subway: In front of exit 1 of Haeundae station (Busan Subway Line 2), take city bus No. 100 and get off at Yeongnam Apt. Then walk around 10-15 minutes along the sign (Total journey takes around 50 minutes).

Dalmaji-gil Road is a small walkway on the corner to Songjeong Beach and boasts beautiful cherry blossoms and pine trees, which are located just beyond Haeundae Beach, on the slope of Mt. Wausan. The landscape, with the blue sea, sandy seashore, and pine trees, is beautiful enough to be the

representative place of this area for a long time to come.

This walk became famous as a relaxing place in the summer, ever since Haeundae Beach opened in 1965. On days with clear skies you can see Japan’s Tsushima Island from the observatory. There is a spa and other facilities nearby, making it a great place to visit for people who want to relax and enjoy their free time, not only in the summer, but throughout the year. The Dalmaji Hill has 8km driving course and at the peak of Mt. Wausan is a Dalmaji Hill. On the top of the hill is a clock tower, representing the marine city Busan, going forth and reaching out to the world.
