2.4 LITRE MIVEC TURBO DIESEL ENGINE.At the core of Triton is this refined and super-responsive 2.4L DOHC MIVEC 16 valve common

rail intercooled diesel engine. An aluminium cylinder block and lightweight materials reduce

weight and with a compression ratio of 15.5:1, it is amongst the quietest and most efficient

diesel engines on the market. In fact, it will exceed your expectations. Peak power is 133kW

at 3500 rpm, while torque is an impressive 430Nm at 2500 rpm across both manual and

automatic transmission models. The lightweight engine achieves low fuel consumption and

CO2 emissions with consumption from only 7.0 litres to 7.6 litres per 100kms^ across the

range, while also delivering outstanding power and performance.

Triton’s turbo diesel power is matched to a reconfigured 6-speed manual transmission

Cutting-edge four-wheel-drive capability is

synonymous with Mitsubishi, and the fifth-

generation Triton is no exception. GLS and

Exceed models are fitted with Mitsubishi’s

Super Select II 4WD system, which offers four

driving modes: 2WD High Range, Full Time 4WD and High and Low

Range 4WD with locked centre differential. Easy Select 4WD on GLX

models offers 2WD and 4WD High and Low Range. Both systems have

an easy-to-operate four-wheel-drive selector dial that allows the

driver to switch between 2WD and 4WD on the move at speeds under

100km/h. Exceed also features an electronic rear differential lock.

DURABLE DESIGN AND ROBUST CONSTRUCTION.The Triton chassis design provides an enhanced ride,

feel and balance – overcoming the manoeuvrability issues

associated with conventional light commercial vehicles.

Upfront, Triton has a double wishbone suspension while

extra reinforcement in the rear frame enables Triton’s

rear suspension to be tuned for better traction and

Trailer Stability Assist (TSA)

To prevent ‘trailer-swing’ when towing at speed, Trailer Stability Assist (TSA) controls individual

wheel slip to stabilise the trailer. The system detects when the trailer is starting to oscillate and

automatically warns drivers behind, by flashing brake lights on both the car and trailer.

7 SRS AirbagsTriton is fitted with driver and front passenger airbags and driver knee SRS airbag for maximum protection in the event of a frontal collision. Side and curtain SRS airbags are also standard fitment on all models protecting against side-on collision, inflating from the side of the seat to protect the torso, and from the roof lining to protect the head.

Rain Sensing Wipers*The Triton Exceed is equipped with front wipers that activate automatically when moisture is detected on the windscreen, allowing you to keep your hands on the wheel and your focus on the road ahead.

Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)Triton is equipped with an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) which allows the driver to maintain steering control of the vehicle and manoeuvre around obstructions in heavy braking conditions.

Active Stability Control (ASC) Active Stability Control (ASC) intuitively recognises when you over-steer or under-steer and applies brake force to appropriate wheels to keep you online through corners.

Dusk Sensing Headlamps*Dusk sensing headlamps on Exceed models automatically illuminate in fading light or when you're travelling through a tunnel.

Reverse Camera#

When reverse gear is engaged, the reverse camera image appears automatically on the GLS’ display or Exceed’s MMCS screen, supplementing the driver's rear field of view.

Hill Start Assist (HSA)Hill Start Assist (HSA), prevents your Triton from rolling backwards on hills by maintaining the braking force to give you time to move your foot from the brake to the accelerator.

Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD)Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) works hand-in-hand with Triton’s ABS computer to assess load and distribute braking force between the front and rear wheels. When you have a load in the rear, it helps you stop in a shorter distance than with standard brakes.

Active Traction Control (ATC) Active Traction Control (ATC) helps maintain traction on the most slippery or rugged surfaces, automatically controlling the engine’s output so the driving wheels are prevented from spinning. Sensing loss of traction in independent wheels, ATC applies braking force to that particular wheel and sends extra power and torque to other wheels with traction, to keep the vehicle moving.
