BO-309
Open
Location:
Bokor
(Offshore Miri,
Sarawak)
Completion:
BO-309T – Sand A3/A6
Well Status:
BO-309T :
Flowing (GL)
Last Production
BO-309T :120
bopd (Oct ’15)
Cum Oil Prod. /
Reserves @ 1.1.15
BO-309T : 0.350
MMbbl / 1.594 MMbbl
Diagnosis:
BO-309T ESP cable is grounded hence the ESP is not able to
run anymore. Well is currently flowing via GL in the mean time
before an ESP replacement is done. TTESP installation is
proposed for this well in place of the conventional WO
method.
Job objective:
To perform TTESP installation via wireline deployment method
and wellhead modification in order to achieve 200 bopd gain
at well level and 150 bopd gain at field level from GL gas
reallocation, accelerating 0.3 MMSTB reserves production from
this well.

Overall TTESP-CD Installation Timing
Open
1. Prolong TIT due to:
2. TTESP BHA installation tool longer than expected due to replacement of the failed downhole sensor
3. Cable hanger installation could not be installed as per program (NPT of 12-14 hours)
4. Overall TTESP installation went smoothly without major incidents, however number of constructive findings were recorded

The UEC for Conventional ESP is ~RM43/boe. The trial for other deploymenttechniques such as Thru Tubing (rig-less) may potentially lower down the UEC to~RM34/boe.

1. ESP system oil servicing (filling) during assembly must be done from bottom up therefore ESP cannot be assembled exactly like a wireline string
2. ESP system length is extremely long – for deeper wells could prove difficult or impossible in current configuration to install on live well.
3. Flowrate – presently maximum rate deliverable is around 1500bbl/d for 3.5” tubing
4. 2-7/8” insert safety valve has very small flow area
Limitations
Open
Solutions/developments/improvements
1. Novomet to provide oil containing ESP units which can be assembled without oil servicing or a system which can be oil filled from the bottom.
2. Novomet are developing a system which can be deployed in sections and working on a set of rams which can close around a sealed part of the ESP system.
3. Novomet working on higher rate 217 and 272 systems.
4. Looking at other options from other vendors for the insert safety valve to increase flow area.
