New Skies and other shared HUB at Fuschtadt Teleport on INTELSAT IS-903 (C-Band) and

INTELSAT IS-907 all on a VNO centre from UK.

1-Objectives of the project This project stands for the installation of a VNO to interlink and control all Government Vsat

sites from Papua New Guinea site.

2-Services offered by the VNO The VNO must provide the following services:

� Broadband Internet for high speed internet access at remotes locations;

� VoIP telephony where couple of PSTN lines need to be extended from the main office

to a remote site location;

� VPN interconnecting all computers at remote locations.

� Management and control of the network

� Contention Ratio for end users sites

� Priorities and QoS

All these features are available on Hub, so that the VNO will work as a small Hub.

3-Solution In this part, we’ll present the approach to implement our VNO. 3-1) Topology of the network The figure1 below shows the architecture designed for our VNO Customer . In this figure we

have three main components which are the TELELINK VNO site at PNG, the Adelaide

teleport and the End Users Network. All of these components work together and will be

describe in the next paragraphs.

3-2) Components Description 3-2-1) Satellite NSS6 In this project, the satellite used is SES NEW SKIES NSS6. It’s technical characteristics are listed below�� Manufacturer: Lockheed-Martin Orbital Location: 95º East Launch date: December 2002 Number of Transponders (36 MHz Equivalent):

Ku-band: 60

Saturated EIRP Range: Ku-Band: 44 to 55 dBW Polarization: Ku-band: Linear

Ka-band: Linear Frequency Band: Ku-Band Uplink: 13.75 to 14.50 GHz

Ka-Band Uplink: 29.5 to 30.0 GHz Ku-Band Downlink: 10.95 to 11.20 GHz, 11.45 to 11.70 GHz, 12.50 to 12.75 GHz

3-2-2)Telelink VNO Component Site For your VNO site, we have chosen the following equipments:

� A 1.8 m or 1.2m VSAT antenna operating on Ku-Band characteristics in Annex;

� The iDirect Modem 3100 series which will be connected to the antenna;

� NMS Server to connect to Adelaide teleport and manage your sites server

characteristics bellow;

As a Virtual Network Operator you will have the ability to control and run services to your

end user customers worldwide with the highest level of autonomy. Tools and features

available to the virtual network operator include:

• Commission, control and monitor your own remote sites

• Deliver end users broadband speeds of up to 18 mbps

• Ensure your network traffic is 100% physically separate from anyone else’s: Good security

level

• Provide custom QOS service levels and definitions

• Support applications like VoIP, video and private networks in your network

• Pay only for the capacity you need

• Design and configure your own IP addressing scheme

• Easily expand your service capacity as you build customer demand

3-2-3) TELELINK Equipments at the HUB Station: Adelaide teleport

This hub station manages and works together with the VNO in order to deliver a good quality

of service to the customers.

You need to be connected at this Hub to buy or make available the following:

� An Idirect Line Card : this Card will be insert into the existing Chassis in other to

reduce costs;

� A dedicated server with protocol server and NMS server, TELELINK need to buy or

rent and install a dedicated server at Adelaide Teleport in other to have it own

network. Characteristics of the server bellow.

� Software License, TELELINK also need to buy or rent Idirect Software license which

will be install on the dedicated server;

3-2-4) TELELINK PNG Network

In this project, TELELINK could interconnect government Main offices by VPN describe bellow.

Configuration of the Global Government VPN:

To interconnect site by VPN, you will need equipment bellow: Vsat Antenna( 1.2m Ku Band), Modem

Idirect, Netgear Router FVS124G; this router is VPN router and Network accelerator.

For government site with many branch around, TELELINK can interconnect those branches by

Wireless Network using Alcon equipment or Tranzeo equipments.

Wireless could be deploys to interconnect branch at 0 to 15km around the main office of a government

3-3) Installation and training To achieve this project, two Levels of training of your staff will be necessary: In London with

certificate

and at your site for Installation and Training by our engineer. Installation costs mentioned on the

proforma invoice include all items suggestions. The installations will be delivered turn-key. This

training will be given as seminar, with practical working sessions and evaluations.

Conclusion At the end of this presentation, Telelink will have a VNO plan which can be successfully install. The

solution adopted is based on the iDirect modem series 3100 or 5100 for the advantages that it gives us.
