Covid-19 Protocol for summer programs

Thank you for continuing to recreate with us. Safety continues to be a number one priority of ours! We are constantly staying on top of safety guidelines and promise to update you as often as possible. This summer, we will continue to use the Sports and Recreation Guidelines set forth by NYS. Please see the outline below on how we plan to run things this summer.

TEMPERATURE CHECKS: Instructors and staff running the programs will have their temperatures checked prior to each class. We will also be checking participant temperatures for classes held indoors. HEALTH SCREENING QUESTIONS: Instructors and participants will be asked 3 screening questions before the start of class at program check-in. We ask that only a max of two guardians accompany the child to any outside program and one guardian for any indoor program. We also ask that guardians attempt to social distance where possible.

FACE COVERINGS: Instructors and participants must

wear a mask at all times. All programs held on

Marcellus School District grounds require the

following: Masks must be worn by all staff and

participants at all times. When eating and drinking (no

masks) social distance of at least 6 feet must be

maintained, In the event that guidelines for school’s

change, procedures will be re-evaluated at that time.

SANITATION: Hand sanitizer will be available at each program location. Instructors and participants will be able to use it as needed. All equipment is sanitized prior to use as well as following each class. As a department, we are following all CDC cleaning guidelines.

INDOOR ACTIVITIES: We understand that for those classes held inside that social distancing is a bit harder. We will be doing our best to give our instructors a space to properly keep participants at a distance. We have also lowered the number of individuals allowed to register foreach program to be able to accommodate all participants safely. As often as possible we have asked instructors to allow for participants to have their own materials to work with (crayons, art supplies, balls, etc.). If an indoor activity can be moved outside, we will do so. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.
