Dharmamurthi Rao Bahadur Calavala Cunnan Chetty’s Hindu College was

established in the year 1969 in Pattabiram, Chennai – 600 072 in memory of illustrious

founder Sri Calavala Cunnan Chetty whose services were praised by Dr.Annie Besant

and Mahakavi Bharathiar. The Evening College was introduced in the academic year

1995-96 to cater to the requirements of students for the courses which are not offered

in Day College. The college is run by the Philanthropic Management of Dharmamurthi

Rao Bahadur Calavala Cunnan Chetty Charities.

Our college is situated in the Chennai – Tiruvallur High Road at a distance of

25 K.Ms. from Chennai. It is easily accessible by city buses as well as sub-urban trains.

There is a railway station in front of the college with the name ‘Hindu College’.
