This Pack Includes… 18 story element comprehension sheets: These are to be used during or after reading a story with your class. There are 5 response sheets in which the students are only drawing a picture, so you can use them early in the year if you students aren’t writers yet.

Comprehension Wands: Print, cut, and laminate the circles and glue them onto popsicle sticks or skewers. Place them in a jar or cup and have the students answer the questions about the story.

DIY: make the wands or single pieces (below). As

you are reading, and finished reading a book, have the children pick a wand and

answer the question!

Print, cut, and laminate the following pages to make the wands. I hot glued them onto skewers, or you could use popsicle sticks! Place them in a cup and you are set!
