(CAMPERS sit onstage, stretching, doing vocal warm-ups, chatting, and overall preparing for their first song)

Alright, alright! Settle down guys! (CAMPERS continue to talk)

CAMPER 1

Okay, we have been working all week towards this final showcase.

CAMPER 2 Seriously! I’m tired but it was super worth it. Even if I did get the songs stuck in my head.

CAMPER 3

Yeah, sorry mom and dad!

CAMPER 1 If everybody will get into places, we can actually start with the first song!

(waits for CAMPERS to get into place) Hit It!

(Enter CAMPERS A, B, C, and D in their formation of choice. They are dressed to look “bad” or “cool” or basically different from the other CAMPERS. They pause center stage in a group

pose, looking clearly unimpressed)

CAMPER A That was so cute. Seriously I could almost stand to watch the whole thing.

CAMPER B

I was almost going to say we couldn’t have done it better ourselves…

But we definitely could

CAMPER 8 I’m sorry… Do we know you?

CAMPER D

Not yet, but consider yourselves lucky to lay your eyes on all of this!

(motions to the other three obnoxiosuly. CAMPERS A, B, and C roll their eyes)

CAMPER 8 Well, you guys are free to join us if you want!

(CAMPERS A, B, C, and D start laughing)

CAMPER 9

Okay, I’m not gonna beat around the bush. Is there a problem here?

CAMPER A The only problem here is that you guys are too sensitive.

CAMPER C

Exactly! Plus sometimes it’s good to be bad (CAMPERS look around confused)

We’ll show you.

(attempts a kick and a spin but whacks two people in the face. Plays it off like it was on purpose) We’re gonna be famous one day!

Look, you guys are talented, but so are a lot of the campers here.

CAMPER 17 We meant it when we said you guys could join us. I mean if we all like singing and dancing, I

don’t see any reason why we can’t do it together.

(JR CAMPERs look left and right very confused)

CAMPER C It’s just sad that it took us being mean for us to learn that lesson

CAMPER 54 That’s one of the cool things about God though! In Romans 8:28 it says, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his

purpose.” So God uses even the bad stuff for good!
