STUDENT INDUCTION PROGRAM

On 8TH July 2013 the Induction program of FE students was con-

ducted in Central Library hall. First Year engineering began with the

student’s induction program on 8th July 2013 in the Central Library

Hall. Program began with swagatgeet and saraswativandana.

Induction Program was helpful to address students to give information

of institute, Induction program began at 10.00 am. Prof.Y.P.Pawar gave

introduction of the program. SKN SCOE Principal Dr.K.J.Karande

briefs the intention of the program to the newly admitted students and

parents. Prof. A. I. Nikam, Head of Department first year engineering,

gave students information about institute work culture, details of de-

partment etc. He had given the detailed record of students past results of

the institute, University toppers of the college, environment in the cam-

pus, facilities in the campus like hostel,mess,canteen,store,Xerox center

etc.

The induction program was coordinated by Prof.Y.P.Pawar,Vote of

Thanks given by Prof.S.S.Kulkarni.

On 31July 2013 SKN Sinhgad College of Engineering

organised workshop on the topic “Women Health & Care”

in library building first floor only for girl students. The

workshop was attended by near about 300students and

almost all ladies staff of the institute.

The invitees of the workshop are all renowned personali-

ties of medical stream from the Pandharpur. The Chief

guests invited for the Workshop were Dr.Eknath Bodhale

and Dr.Manjusha, Deshmukh, Dr.Eknath, Bodhale graced

the function by accepting invitation as President of the

Workshop. Dr.Vinayak Raut, Dr.Arun Menkudale, Shri

K.S.Mali, Dr.Prabhakar , Mali, Shri. Vijaykumar Daithan-

kar, special invitee for the inauguration of the workshop.

Dr Arun Menkudale in his introduction stressed the im-

portance of woman health care. Reason behind this is

changes in the human life as woman has to work on do-

mestic as well as professional border.

Dr.Eknath Bodhale focused on the importance of health in

the life of every woman. He said there is drastic change in

the life of woman in the two decades.

Dr.Mrs.Manjusha Deshmukh has stresses on the im-

portance of exercise, morning walk as well as eating hab-

its (food) for woman in her day to day life.

Dr.Eknath Bodhale sir discussed on how should be the

complete diet for women. Sir said for healthy life

healthy food is required.

The workshop was summed up with vote of thanks by

Prof.Namrata Mane. She assured to the guest on behalf

of all present women audience, definitely all tips and

shared experience will be great help to them to prepare

diet plan.

Mr.Vikrant Gaikwad has completed his education in

engineering. His educational qualification is B.E.

(ENTC).Mr.Vikrant is keenly interested in technical areas

along with communication skills. Mr.Vikrant has partici-

pated in various events in college period. He has partici-

pated and won various competitions like elocution at vari-

ous level.

Mr.Ashok Kortikar, worked as teacher for nearly

35 years in Apte-Uplap Prashala, Pandharpur. Sir

retired as Headmaster. He is renowned social work-

er in Pandharpur taluka. He is writer of column in

various newspaper .His articles regularly published

in all local newspaper in Pandharpur. Around 1000

articles published to his credit.

One day workshop on Personality Development

began at 10am.Dr.K.J.Karande, Principal of

SKNSCOE explained the purpose of workshop

conducted. Resource persons were felicitated by

Hon. Principal.

First Session was conducted by

Prof.R.N.Badage. Madam has explained the

expectations of companies from students. She

focused on the topic “Learning Attitude” &

“Healthy Personality” Learning Attitude is the

essence of dynamic world. Healthy personality

helps to develop healthy environment.

Second session headed by Prof.S.K.Kotgiri.

She focused, “on the importance of Self Aware-

ness in the era of competition. In today’s life

numbers of distractions are diverting students.

So everyone has to design goal of

Counselling session on Career guidance started

at 10 am. Program was anchored by Prof.S.R.Nalage.

Kedar Takalkar sir focused on the changed pattern of

engineering courses.DTE has made changes in the

admission process due to which students and parents

are in lot of queries. In this respect Takalkar sir said

due to the changed pattern student should not do mi-

nor mistakes in admission process and loose the op-

portunity in engineering course.

educational qualification is M.B.B.S.,D.A.. He is

Managing Committee of Rayar Shikshan Sanstha’s

Yashawant Vidyalaya,Pandharpur.Donated ‘Shamchi

Guest Lecture by Dr.Rajendra Jadhav started with anchoring

of Mr.Vikrant Jadhav. Every Indian is influenced by the great

freedom fighter Gandhi. Mahatma Gandhiji devoted his life for

the freedom of country. He followed his principles “Truth &

Non-violance”. Dr.Rajendra Jadhav said in today’s life also

these principles are applicable and he urged everyone to promise

him to walk on the same footsteps showed by Great Mahatama

Gandhi.Dr.Rajendra Jadhav explained few situations with the

facts in sadya sthiti.

Prof.Y.P.Pawar at 10a.m. in the seminar hall of SKNSCOE. He

explained the purpose of conducting parent meet.

Parent representative invited as a chief guest for the program.

Prof.S.R.Nalage,Head of the Department, explained the infra-

structural facilities available in the campus and its benefits to all

students. After completion of briefing by HOD, parents are re-

quested to disperse to meet and talk with respective teacher

guardian to discuss the performance and progress of their student.

Vivekanand-ek Sangharsh is undoubtedly one of the best

topic for speech and the speaker is Shri.J.P.Desai. This topic

and session was conducted by SKN Sinhgad College of Engi-

neering Pandharpur for the first year students of engineering on

12 January 2016.

The program was co-ordinated by the first year students. In

this lecture Shri J.P.Desai sir told stories of Vivekanand in his

early speech and moved on to various incidents which proved

that his life is really a sangharsh which was only for his mother-

land INDIA.Prof.Y.P.Pawar anchored the program,

Dr.K.J.Karande felicited shri J.P.Desai. Dignatories present

over the program are Prof.R.T.Vyawahare, Dr.C.P.Pise, and

Pandharpur as well as Lions Club Pan-

dharpur. She coach to the students for schol-

arship Examinations conducted by Maha-

In the academic year 2016-17 induction cum parent

meet conducted by First Year Engineering department

on 17 Sepetember2016.The meet was welcomed by

Prof.Y.P.Pawar at 10am in the seminar hall of SKNS-

COE. He explained the purpose of conducting induc-

tion and parent meet.

Mrs.Deshpande, Mrs.Kulkarni, Mr.Awatade and

Mr.Patil honoured the chair with Hon. Principal

Dr.K.J.Karande.

Mrs.Deshpande addressed on behalf of par-

ents.Mrs.Deshpande Madam has focused over the fa-

cilities available in the institute.

Prof. Nikam sir explained the infrastructural facilities

available in the campus and its benefits to all students.

Institute has implemented unique scheme of TG.

Teacher Guardian Scheme means every teacher

(faculty member) has allotted 20-25 students to take

care him/her as a child. This scheme helps to know the

problems and difficulties student has in the institute in

working hour or in hostel also.

After completion of briefing by HOD, parents are re-

quested to disperse to meet and talk with respective

teacher guardian to discuss the performance and pro-

gress of their student.

Teacher parent discussion made parents satisfied.

With the note as vote of thanks from Dr.S.R.Nalage

induction cum parent meet ended with outcome.

Guest lecture of Mrs. Aprnatai Ramtirthkar started

with anchoring of Dr.S.R.Nalage. She welcome to the

audience. Audience of the guest lecture was very special

that is only all ladies. Ladies faculty members and girl

students of all branches. Another invitee was Smt. Man-

galtai felicitated Mrs.Aprnatai.

Session by Mrs.Aparnatai began by saluting to her mother

and matrubhumi.“Jara Asu Dya Bhan”title of the guest

lecture itself suggests that today every person specifically

every girl in the society should stick with certain morals

and ethics. Everywhere it is said that time is changed so as

preferences in the life of every person changed. Previously

importance was given for human relations whereas now

people are getting materialist.

This approach forcing everyone to prefer comfort and con-

venience. In this race role of woman/girl changed to the

large extent hence madam warn the girl community to

JARA ASU DYA BHAN.

The session by Mrs.Aprnatai was too informa-

tive with real experiences from her social work and

real life stories of present situations either from

rural or urban life. Maximum audience became

sentimental knowing the facts of real life.

With the positive note session ended with offering

vote of thanks by Dr.S.R.Nalage.

GUEST LECTURE ON “AAJCHA VIDYARTHI ANI AAVHAN”

Guest Lecture was arranged by SKN Sinhgad Col-

lege of Engineering, Pandharpur on Tuesday,

07/03/2017 at 11.00 am in Seminar Hall of Main Build-

ing. The lecture was started with lightening of the lamp

by Shri.Ganesh Shinde, Dr.K.J.Karande, Principal

SKNSCOE, and Dr.C.P.Pise, HOD, Civil Department.

Shri.Ganesh Shinde sir started the session very interest-

ingly narrating his college time experience and slowly

he moved towards today’s college students.

He explained how social media is useful and how it

can be harmful? Sir said that too many opportunities are

available for today’s engineers and through small and

very nicely he gave tips for students and the session was

too much interesting and enjoyed by the students. Miss.

Shrutika Shivkar anchored the session and

Prof.Mrs.S.K.Kotgiri Co-ordinated the program under

the guidance of Head of Department, First year Engi-

neering SKN SCOE, Prof.A.I.Nikam.
