We work with a small amount of biomass directly from the boxed insulation and perform a protein extraction by the formic acid / acetonitrile method recommended by Bruker Co
The proteins are analyzed using as HCCA matrix (HCCA = α-Cyano-4-hydroxycinnamic acid), in a MALDI-TOF Autoflex team from Bruker.
The identification is done using the MALDI Biotyper Compass Explorer 4.1.50 software version.
