What is a nol card?nol is a smart card that can be used to pay for RTA public transport modes in Dubai. Cash or credit cards are also accepted on all the marine modes of transport.Silver nol cards are perfect for tourists and can be purchased from any RTA ticket offices, ticket vending machines, authorised sales agents or RTA customer service centres. For details, visit www.nol.ae1. To pay for your journey, simply tap your card on the card scanning machines at the Air-conditioned Abra check-in points when you enter and exit. 2. Note how much you were charged for the trip. Pay attention to the beep, which indicates that your card has been charged.3. Check the light, which shows a different colour for checking in (green) and checking out (red).Tip: Remember it is important to tap your nol card at the start and end of your journey. If you don’t do this, the system will not know which journey you’ve made and you may be charged a maximum fare and may also incur a fine.

Traditional Abra - ElectricalA modern take on the traditionally-fueled Abra, the Electrical Abra isa favourite with tourists who want to pack in the sights and cruise along the city’s popular attractions. Equipped with the latest technology, enjoy a safe cruise without missing the traditional experience. Discover the traditional Fahidi Area, historical district souqs and stunning mosques. Go on to explore the Dubai Museum and visit HH Sheikh Saaed Al Maktoum’s house along the Dubai Creek, which divides Deira and Bur Dubai. Hop-on for a glimpse of the soulful side of the city.

Abra comes from the Arabic verb ‘abara’ which means ‘to cross’. Take a ride on the Dubai Abra, the city’s most traditional mode of transport. For centuries, it has remained one of Dubai’s most frequented modes of transport, making it the symbol of the city’s history and heritage. Today there are different types of Abras in service: Please note that not all routes indicated in the flyer are in operation.
