ROTARACT CLUB OF SDNB VAISHNAV COLLEGE FOR WOMEN SPONSORED BY ROTARY CLUB OF MADRAS RID-3232 2020-2021 is the 5 th year of RAC of SDNBVC with highest number of enrolled members. Our theme of the year is rise by lifting others with ideology of an ant and its swarm which never loses hope and no matter how small they still put in efforts and always show a helping hand and work as a team. We belong to group 3.Our club number is 215818.This year it was not just the board but also green rotaractors and general rotaractors who led and too part in projects which created a good interaction though it was a pandemic year running virtually. We did 61 projects for this year. JULY MONTH PROJECTS 1. TITLE: O2 (in honour of amrita Devi and Piplantri villagers) DATE:26 th June, ongoing project for the year AVENUE OF SERVICE: community service DESCRIPTION: We started this project on 26 th June and it’s was an ongoing project for the year. 2020-2021 is the 5th year of RAC of SDNBVC with highest number of enrolled

members. Our theme of the year is rise by lifting others with ideology of an ant

group 3.Our club number is 215818.This year it was not just the board but also

green rotaractors and general rotaractors who led and too part in projects

which created a good interaction though it was a pandemic year running

virtually. We did 61 projects for this year.

JULY MONTH PROJECTS

1. TITLE: O2 (in honour of amrita Devi and Piplantri villagers)

DATE:26thJune, ongoing project for the year

AVENUE OF SERVICE: community service

DESCRIPTION:

We started this project on 26th June and it’s was an ongoing project for the year.

In this project any male could plant a sapling by dedicating the plant in honour of

a female in their life.

This idea was designed from 2 historic events

1. Piplantri is a village in Rajasthan which plants and worships 111 trees when

a female infant is born

2. Amrita Devi and her 3 daughters sacrificed their lives with others to prevent

trees from being chopped in vanmahotsav.

Till date 316 plants were planted by 298 men and 6374 women were honoured

We are provided e certificates for their participation.

2. TITLE: HELLO DOCTOR

DATE: 1stJuly

AVENUE OF SERVICE: Community service and club service

DESCRIPTION: On national doctors’ day (1st July), we had a small interview

with Doctors across the world to know about their journey. We also made a

thank you video in do not rush challenge format to honour them for their

service.

3.TITLE: Speaktravaganza2.0

DATE: 11th and 12thJuly

AVENUE OF SERVICE: Community service and international service

Description: It is a professional service initiative which had happened on 11th

July and 12th July. This project is a series of national level competitions and the

world’s largest communication festival in

Collaboration with team enunciate and few other Rotaract clubs, universities, and

NGOs. The competitions focused on communication and soft skills.

4. TITLE: #2K KIDS

-2K Teens to change 2k kids

DATE: 12thJuly -16thJuly

AVENUE OF SERVICE: Professional service

DESCRIPTION: This is a professional service initiative to get kids away from the

gadgets and make them spend some time with people. We did this project

covering five days from 12th July to 16thJuly, we taught them to do craft, drawing,

exercise, dance and helping mom. We said mock jokes and heard tiny tots talks

The kids had fun and we helped them to develop relationships with human and

not become obese and get addicted to technology.

5. TITLE: NEE YAAR

DESCRIPTION: On youth skills day (July 15), we did this project to flash the

hidden talents of our students. The participants presented a video of their talent.

We also provided certificates for the same.

6. TITLE: ALAM VIZHUDUGAL

DESCRIPTION:on world population day (11thJuly) we did this project. We spent

some time to know about our ancestors and wedrew our family trees.

7. TITLE: I WANT MORE EMOTION

favourite emoji, drew it and described why they like that particular emoji.

8. TITLE: SPARROW THE HERO

-A new initiative for little life

build sparrow houses with the guidance of sparrow conservationists and

Description:

We celebrated Rakshabandan along with Racof kalyan riverside and thanked all

the beings who protected us bytying rakis to policemen for protecting us in state,

watchmen for protecting us in flats and siblings for protecting us with

responsibility and army for protecting our nation. We also posted our wishes with

a rakhi, a letter of brotherhood, a rap on army’s pride and struggle, sweet and

other traditional things with a video conveying our wishes to army as their well

wishers. We have received a reply from the soldiers

3. TITLE: NERPADA PESU

The main moto of this project is to pull the emcees to show off their talents towards media n society. E-

On occasion of nutrition week, we took an initiative to share the unknown facts about fruits and

malnutrition people during this pandemic.

Small changes eventually add up to huge result in everything. So, to make a good change in the

environment we took an initiative to reduce the things up to the need, reuse the things to make it

better, recycle the things whichever we can. Do not save what is left after spending but spend what is

left after saving. Yes, the same 3Rs which we studied in our schooling but how many of us follow it to

keep yourself and your environment fly high?! Reuse the waste materials in order to control

environmental pollution Reduce the plastics by using of cloth bags, jute bags, paper bags and Recycle

the newspaper to street vendors just like how people use papers instead of plastics to cover and sell

food. Earth does not belong to us;we belong to earth.

To share the knowledge about commercial and smart farming techniques and not just tips every

alternative day to people passionate about agriculture. We collaboratedwith “My Harvest farms we gave

the information about smart techniques like what is bio floc, mulching, commercial poultry and quail

farming, and a lot more and how does it work, merits behind, etc.

The benefit is that these passionate people can view the info in their mobile any time when free and any

number of times and gain knowledge and also know about agriculture friendly organizations.

protect us in everyday basis. We have taken this project since we really want to

thank them for being so protective for us and making us feel calm day to day. We

saw the happiness in their face by celebrating with cakes and wishes. A few

people have been hurting them due to social distancing in pandemic during their

service hence we planned a day with flat members and celebrated their Service

Project description:

It is a multi Avenue project initiative by *Rotaract club of Raja Lakshmi

engineering college* in connection of *world food day*. The project is a set of 5

different phases:

•Phase 0: *Rendezvous*

It is with all participating clubs via zoom to brief and engage in discussion about

the project.

•Phase 1: *Multi cultural food exchange*

It is between the participating clubs where in clubs from each RID share the recipe

of a famous local dish along with a making video. Clubs from other RID's will try to

recreate it.

•Phase 2: *PR campaign*

To promote the project across various social media, by nominating and

encouraging various other clubs to recreate it.

•Phase 3: *Vocal for Local campaign*

It aims to promote various roadside eatires , food stalls that serve delicious food ,

in And around the localities which have been under financial distress due to lock

down.

•Phase 4 : *Zero hunger campaign*

This campaign is wherein we cook and distribute food to the hunger in and

around the surroundings.

Mandotry participation in a minimum of 3 out of 5 phases.

So we Rac of SDNBVC participated in,

We had an amazing session on self grooming naturally at homeby conceals De z in
