2.2 USE WARDROBE WIZARD To perform the conversion, in most cases you will use the original .obj geometries of the prop you want to convert. IMPORTANT! The following procedure will create a New Converted CONFORMING Prop and it can be used to create CONFORMING PROPS from DYNAMIC/STATIC props . To create a DYNAMIC/STATIC prop, instead, you must Select As Prop and Deselect Regroup. The following is an example of conversion from P6 J ames Props to P8 Ryan Props, so that Ryan can use James props.

2.3 WORK WITH THE NEW CLOTHING PROPS IMPORTANT! The New Converted Clothing Prop Geometries are now in this folder: Poser 9\Runtime\Geometries\WardrobeWizard\P8 Ryan The New Converted Conforming Prop .cr2 File , you are going to use, is now in this folder: Poser 9\Runtime\Libraries\Character\WW P8 Ryan

Now you can reach the folder and change the .png Image of the Prop with another one you have created, as usual.

IMPORTANT! For further instructions on how to use the Newly Co nverted Props, jump directly to Paragraph 2.7. 2.4 THE NEW CLOTHING PROPS AS SEEN IN SETUP ROOM The New Clothing Conforming Prop As seen in Poser S etup Room with Sjeleton, Bones and Geometries!

2.5 CREATING YOUR OWN PROP AS DYNAMIC PROP FOR CLOT H ROOM If you want to easily transform this Conforming Prop into a Dynamic Prop to be used in Poser Cloth Room, just discard the automatically created .cr2 file , and load only the New Prop Geometries with the usual Param for .obj Prop files. It is important for you to know the direction of the Normals of the .obj file. In case you know the direction must be changed, you can change the direction of the normals in your 3D SW or just by using the in-built Poser Flip Normals Param.

2.6 RE-CREATING YOUR OWN PROP AS CONFORMING Again, if you don’t want to use the automatically created .cr2 conforming file , but you want to manually create your own conforming prop, just load only the New Prop Geometries with the usual Param for .obj Prop files, as seen in the previous Paragraph. However, in this case, Geometries Groups must be left as they are and also their names must be left as they are. Do not use the Weld Group Button! A- Open the Setup Room B- Follow the usual Instructions for loading an existing Skeleton C- Open the Libraries Window D- Double-click the character whose Skeleton you want to use E- Click the button Yes. F- The new customized Conforming Prop is now ready! G- Now you can also go on further customizing the Conforming Prop with the Setup Room Tools.

2.7 THE IMPORTANCE OF USING THE AUTOMATICALLY CREAT ED NEW CONVERTED PROPS IMPORTANT! All the automatically converted and created Wardrob e Wizard Props come with a Series of Morphs, which will help you in refining the adaptation of t he prop to your chosen character or in creating eve n new props based on the original converted one.

Certain Conforming Props will automatically receive also special Posing Controls, in order to manage special Clothing Props, like Skirts and Long Robes.

2.8 THE IMPORTANCE OF THE JOINT EDITOR AND THE SKIR T CONTROLS The advanced control of Conforming Props, in Poser, is always performed through the Joint Editor Parameters, especially those of the Leading Character (in this case Ryan 8, being the Greek Chitoniskos the conforming prop), because they affect the Conforming Clothing Prop. And in any case also the Conforming props Behaviour can be fine tuned through the use of the Joint Editor Window of Poser .

You can regulate the position of the conforming pro p also by using the parameters of the special spherical handles. But to regulate and fine-tune the pose of the skirt, you can use a simple method, consisting in directly model the position of the skirt by directly draggin g the mouse on the Prop : A- Position the mouse over the Conforming Prop. B- Then just drag to model both the Conforming Prop and the Leading Character Limbs to correctly fine-tune

the final pose. C- Continue until you find the position you want for the Conforming Prop. D- This way you can pose the Skirt also as Conforming Prop, if you want to avoid to use the Dynamic version

of this Prop in the Cloth Room.

2.9 GENERATING STATIC/DYNAMIC PROPS WITH WARDROBE W IZARD The procedure is identical to that of Paragraph 2.2 ! But in this case, just select As Prop and Deselect Regroup.

Then you will find the Geometries in the usual Wardrobe Wizard Path (see Paragraph 2.3). The newly Converted Prop from James P6 to Ryan P8 will be in this folder: Poser 9\Runtime\Libraries\Props\WW P8 Ryan

As usual, just reach the folder and now you can change the .png of the Static/Dynamic Prop , by using a new rendered image of the prop itself, etc. 3.1 THE SPIKES IN POSER With the Props generated by Wardrobe Wizard or with older Poser Characters, you may experience posing artifacts called Spikes. This is a common issue, especially with the new versions of Poser starting with Poser 8 (with the old versions of Poser this issue seems not to exist) and with the new built-in settings and algorithms, and it is simply due to a different setting of the Characters or Props Joint Editor Params. So usually, just re-touch the Joint Editor Params , as seen before, to fix such issue if you experience it. See http://www.philc.net/WW2_FAQ.php [Q #14] . In case, and for a more detailed guide to Poser Spikes Fixing Methods, just follow the instructions at http://www.philc.net/WW2_help.php or http://www.philc.net/forum . 4.1 WARDROBE WIZARD FOR DAZ, DAZ TOOLS AND DAZ CLOT HES CONVERTER SERIES Wardrobe Wizard exists also as a stand alone applic ation, so it can be used also by Daz Users. Check your version of Poser, or online Documentatio n: otherwise Daz Michael and Genesis figures are always available from PhilC.net as Updates. In any case, Daz has also a set of special tools to automatically create Conforming Props and Props adaptations to its own Characters especially for the Genesis Series. One of the most powerful Tools of Daz is the Daz Tr ansfer Utility: A-Just Load your Dynamic Clothing Prop in Daz (the original .obj file). B-Use the Transfer Utility. C-Just in seconds, you have your Prop as a Daz Conf orming Prop, that perfectly follows all the movements of the characters, you have chosen, and e ven their Shaping Morphs [i.e. male-female, fat-thin, etc.]. However, whereas it is a powerful tool to create gr eat Conforming Props for any character, featuring also special advanced settings for static elements, as in the newer versions of Poser, it may have

limitations in converting Props from one Character to another one, so a possibility is that you’d better work firstly with Wardrobe Wizard and then w ith Daz Tools. For Daz Tools and Utilities you can find many tutor ials and documentation. Further Information: DS_Manual Daz Forum Or just follow the Official Daz YouTube Tutorial Ch annel with hundreds of video tutorials: http://www.youtube.com/user/WWWDAZ3DCOM And specifically about Transfer and Content Managem ent Utilities: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7abESLvn0yg&feature= player_profilepage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7abESLvn0yg&list=PLE 026B44096BBD507 SEE ALSO: Daz has also an independent SW for Clothes Conversi ons for Poser/Daz Characters, which works more or less like Wardrobe Wizard: It’s Clothes Converter [published with various releases by Daz] by Markcus Dunn [3dutils]. 5.1 POSER PROPS MORPHS AND FURTHER TOOLS FOR THE CREATION OF PROPS MORPHS Finally, since, by following Poser Philosophy on Pr ops, it may be useful to control both Conforming Props and Static/Dynamic Props with additional Morp hs, it is important for you to develop techniques and strategies of this kind. A- DO NOT use the external binary file for Poser Mo rphs! In fact, in most cases, it may generate errors. So When saving the New Morphs in Poser, remember that Poser Morphs usually work with animation better, if you DO NOT use the external binary file [so be sure that the saving option 'external binary file' has been deactivated in Poser General Options Menu], i.e. when saving props the external .pmd file must not be generated. In fact, .pmd files, according to your version of Poser, tend to work, only if the original Morph .obj file external name and the internal name of the Morph are identical, and a simple change in names may generate difficulties. So DO NOT use the external binary file, when preparing the Morphs for the Props of Poser. [The Params are usually in Edit / General Preferences / Misc. Tab ] B- What to do, if you are using Cinema4D to generat e Poser Props Morphs To build new Morphs remember that, when preparing the morphs in Cinema4D, Cinema4D can read only exported props/characters from Poser in 3ds format + Groups Yes [NOT OBJ EXPORTED FOR MORPHS!!!]. When you are done with the morphs modeling in Cinema4D, re-export the models-morphs in .obj, and now you are ready to properly load the morphs in Poser. C- Other SWs that can be used to generate Props Mor phs for You can use any kind of 3D SWs.

1. In any case, if in need, Hexagon can handle also the older versions of Poser Props and Characters, to generate correct Morphs: in fact, sometimes such Poser older versions stuff may have been prepared in such a way, that other 3D major SWs may fail in treating the Morphs correctly: i.e. you may generate the Morphs, but they will not work when in Poser. In such cases, if you use Hexagon to generate Morphs, Morphs will work correctly in any case.

2. Another powerful tool to generate Poser Morphs is Blacksmith3D , which has a complete set of Tools, specifically designed for Poser Props and Characters, Tools for Interactive Texture Painting directly on the 3D Objects or Sculpting Tools for Designing Morphs for Poser Props and Characters.

6.1 WARDROBE WIZARD, 3D MAX, MAYA, CINEMA4D etc. Being also a stand alone application, Wardrobe Wiza rd can be used also with 3D MAX, MAYA, CINEMA4D etc. Wardrobe Wizard can receive also new Characters Geo metries, others than already built-in ones, to generate new types of Props conversions towards new characters.
