Identification of problem

On the base of these research findings we identify the problem which is low speed of wi tribe that way customer of Wi tribe switch of their connection.

We also conduct interviews with wi tribe customer they also complain for slow speed for some time.

Factors in Network Speed

As easily as Macintosh networks come together, getting maximum performance can take some work. The saying "a chain is only as strong as its weakest link" definitely applies to a network, as your network performance is often only as fast as the slowest components. This, it's helpful to know which components affect performance and how to make them work their best.

Network AdapterA network adapter is the device that physically connects your Mac to your network. The network itself

will be Ethernet (which comes in three speeds, 10Megabit, 100Mb, and 1000Mb) or LocalTalk (one speed, about 0.25Mb). Power Macs, iMacs, and G3/G4s have at least 10Megabit Ethernet (often faster), and all Macs with printer and modem ports can use LocalTalk. Many LocalTalk Macs can also add Ethernet support (see the Ethernet Adapter page for more info).

ConclusionEthernet naming aside, switching to a faster adapter is usually the simplest way to improve network speed, assuming you also get a faster hub or switch.Speaking of which...

Ethernet Hub or SwitchMost Ethernet networks use a hub or switch, which serves as the central connection point and moves dataaround. Like the network adapters, they have three speed ratings, 10Mb, 100Mb, and 1000Mb. Your switch must support the same speed as your network adapters to use it on your network (most support multiple speeds for this reason). You should use a hub or switch that supports your full range of network adapter speeds, so you don't limit the higher-speed computers.

Conclusionyour hub or switch must support your highest network

speed to make use of it, but model and make should make relatively little difference in speed.

Network SoftwareYour Mac's network adapter uses software to translatethe network data into a form the computer can understand and vice versa. The newer the software is,generally speaking, the better the network adapter's performance will be. Software updates usually fix bugs and improve translation, so check the adapter's web site regularly for updates (this includes Apple, who updates their Ethernet software from time-to-time).

ConclusionThe effects of software vary widely. Speed increases come from quashed bugs that hindered network adapter performance or improvements to the network translation.

Network ServerMost home or small offices use peer-to-peer Mac networking, since it's easy to use and comes with theMac OS. If you can justify the expense, however, purchasing actual network server software (Apple's AppleShare IP) will lift your performance significantly. The downside is cost, since you need to purchase the software and possibly dedicate a computer to running it.

Conclusion

Using AppleShare IP will improve network throughput notably, but regrettably does the same to your wallet.

Shared InternetThe performance of your network is limited somewhat by outside factors, such as an Internet connection. If you have a cable or DSL modem, for example, you have little control over how quickly Internet data comes and goes (your cable or DSL company sets that limit, either by availability or choice). The typicallimit on an Internet connection is around 200 kilobytes, which is easily within the range of a 10MbEthernet network adapter.

ConclusionSharing an Internet connection has its own speed limitations that are out of the home network user's control.

Internet access speed is a popular bragging topic these days. For example the following discussion is overheard at a local party

Outside factors that affect Internet Connection Speeds.

Unfortunately, there are events and conditions that are outside your control. Even with a fast connection, external factors, such as busy websites

or spreading computer viruses, can slow the entire web. Popular websites can become overwhelmed with users. For example, when a television commercial mentions a website, many people might try to visit the site at the same time. If the website isn’t prepared to handle the traffic, you might encounter delays.

During times of heavy computer virus outbreaks, the Internet can slow down. Many viruses spread by causing computers to send out hundreds or thousands of copies of the virus. This can slow the Internet bysheer volume. You can see what major outbreaks are currently happening by visiting your antivirus vendor’s website, or my Security at Home page.

Local Internet congestion can also result in slower-than-normal connection speeds. These slowdowns occur when many people try to connect to the Internet at the same time, and they occur most often at peak activity times, such as after school hours when students get home and connect to the web.

If you’re on a corporate network, general network andproxy server use can affect your Internet performance. Most network administrators monitor Internet use, and will try to keep people from doing things like downloading large files during peak hours. If you find that your Internet access is slow at times, you might discuss it with your network administrator.

Traffic Jams

To understand one of the factors that will effect your actual data rate, think of the information highway as a normal system of roads. Each road has its capacity and speed limit. At stop signs or traffic signals, you may have to wait while other traffic passes. And, of course, there may be traffic delays. In the same way, your data travels over many links. Each link has its capacity and data rate. Routers are devices that connect the various links and are the equivalent of stop signs and traffic signals. Your data may have to wait while someone else's data passes.

Using the highway analogy, there are additional delays (traffic jams) during peak use hours. You willachieve the faster data rates after 11 p.m. and before 7 a.m. (except Friday or Saturday nights).

Sharing BandwidthWhile your dial-up modem, DSL, ISDN or other Internetconnection may be a dedicated line, all of an ISP's connections get combined into one or more shared connections. In most cases, these shared connections have less capacity than the combined total of all thecustomer connections they serve. Done judiciously, this works better than you probably think. Since mostInternet users spend more time reading their e-mail and Web pages than they do downloading them, they areonly using a fraction of their connection's actual capacity. Overbooking allows an ISP to combine several customer connections into a single link that is smaller (and less expensive) than the combined

total of all the connections they serve, without reducing the amount of data sent to a customer when they are downloading data..

Unfortunately, there is no remedy for this problem, and it is difficult to detect since web servers will slow down during peak usage as well. As competition in the high-bandwidth Internet connection business heats up, you will have more options and your ISP will have more incentive to maintain more reasonable overbooking ratios. Until that time, however, your only options are to complain to your ISP or switch toanother Internet provider with a better track record.

CONCLUSION

Using AppleShare IP will improve network throughput notably, but regrettably

does the same to your wallet.

Sharing an Internet connection has its own speed limitations that are out of the home network user's control.

Internet access speed is a popular bragging topic these days. For example the following discussion is overheard at a local party

Wi tribe in Pakistan have great completion it has to change its attitude. Wi tribe needs to invest in infrastructure (more routers etc) to solve speed

problems. Needs to train its customer service representatives. At a minimum, avoiding billing errors and providing competent and courteous service to its customers is essential if Wi tribe wants to show that it is transforming itself to a competitive company which cares for its customers.

RECOMMENDATIONS

Using AppleShare IP will improve network throughput notably, but regrettably does the sameto your wallet.

Sharing an Internet connection has its own speed limitations that are out of the home network user's control.

They should provide connection with proper devicewhich have no problem of disconnectivity.

They should continually remain in touch with customers.

They should set the price keeping in view the income level of their customers.

They should provide different packages for different users like for students on discount rates.

They should provide more speed as much possible because almost 50% customers want to change theirconnection to get better speed.

Wi tribe needs innovative service offerings — currently it doesn’t even offer bundles or serverwhich provides entertainment channels.

Wi tribe is using its own towers so due to load of cellular services the signals of wi tribe got weak. So they need to more towers so improve their performance.

The router provided by Wi tribe should be of goodquality, or more than one router should be given by them so the signal problem should be resolved. When signal problem are solve then the speed matter automatically solve

For success Wi tribe will have to do more than just depend upon its wireless connectivity feature
