1. Caution And Warning Point 1.1 While Handling

a) You are kindly requested to keep the procedure mentioned above and please be advised that we are

not responsible for the problems that occur because you do not obey the procedures.

b) In addition to the above, you are kindly requested to keep the following matters.

- Do not drop the goods on the floor.

- Do not throw the goods for easy moving.

- Do not pull the goods on the ground for the purpose of moving.

- Do not expose the goods in the environment of many foreign substances in order to keep the

internal / external surfaces.

c) When you operate the valves in the site, please do not exceed the regulated pressure/temperature

and do not use for other fluid except the fluid specified on P/O specification.

d) When joint of valve and valve line, it should be careful for the breakage of valve and piping line due to

the expansion of stress happen and temperature change, in case of disagreement for bolt hole of

both flanges and the problem of piping length.

e) In case of occurring any problem on the installed valve, please do not make any action such as

dismantling the valves, replacing parts, reassembling etc., without our prior permission.

f) Please do not give any foreign power by hammer or others.

g) Please do not unfasten the bolts and nuts without any plan. Because it can make a hazard situation.

1.2 Expecting Problem and The Way How To Dispose

a) Leakage from Packing Chamber

- Please block the pressure source first and wait till the pressure be removed completely.

- Then please unfasten the parts and replace the packing to new ones.

b) Leakage from Body

When casting defects that were not found at our factory are found at site.;

- In case of insignificant situation, please discuss the replacement/repair schedule with us and we'll

do our best to repair or replace the valve as soon as possible.

- In case of emergency situation, please block the pressure source immediately and discuss the

matter with us.

If so, we'll do our best to repair or replace the valve as soon as possible.

c) Leakage from Valve Seat

- In case of rubber seat, clean the seat and reinstall it after disconnecting the valve from pipe, when

you consider the valve leaks, the cause of leakage is that foreign materials.

Nevertheless you have any leak, discuss the matter with us.

- In case of metal seat, please confirm the rate of leak allowance when it has a lot of leak allowance,

clean the seat and reinstall it after remove the valve at the line. Nevertheless, you have any leak,

contact us as soon as possible. d) In all cases of above, if we find that the fault was made by your side after checking the cause of

problem, it should be solved at your expense.

3. General Articles Before installation of valve, it should be careful as follows.

3.1 Assembly

In case of small valve, after wrap it up in packing vinyl individually and put in the paper box.

In case of over medium size, after wrap the valve in packing vinyl individually, protect the flange face

using the veneer board on the upper and lower side, tie up it with a wire.

a) Machining part should be cleaned perfectly before assembling and then check any foreign materials

on the valve.

b) Please prepare the parts suitable for assembling.

c) Please check the valve and parts of then.

d) Please check the plate with an easy action.

3.2 Inspection

In accordance with API598 STD The inspection of the valve should be tested inner pressure of the body

and seat and the regulation of the inspection follows the INSPECTION & TEST PLAN having the approval

of the customer.

a) Material Inspection :

Material check should be examined by checking the Mill-Sheet submitted from material supplier.

b) Dimension inspection :

Dimension check should be done by reviewing the inspection report issued by maker.

c) Assembling, final inspection :

The final inspection shall be performed by checking the inspection & test report issued by vendor.

d) Pressure Test :

The valve shall be inspected by checking the shell test for the body and the leak test for the seat.

e) Operating inspection :

After moving the pin vertically, you can pull and put the plate to the flow direction, and then it should

be closed by tension of the spring.

* Material Certificate should be made for the material of body and plate and shall be in accordance

with KS or JIS, ASTM, ANSI.

* In case of asking for another material certificates, it should be submitted.

f) Main Inspection Point

- Assembly direction(refer to the assembly drawing)

- Disarrangement condition between body and plate

- Machining condition

- Fastened condition with bolt and nut

- Operating condition

- Marking condition

4. Transportation Instruction This instruction describes the method transporting the valves till the time of installation in the designated

pipe line.

When the valves arrive at the destination, the worker must put them down carefully by folk lift or electric

motor and so on in consideration of the center of gravity of the packing box.

In case of releasing products from box, When it is transported one by one, The workers should not lift the

valves to use hand wheel or lever of valve because the hand wheel lever of valve is the weakest part. The

workers had better lift the valve by yoke or body of the valve. SW/CH valve shall be lifted by using the

Eye-Bolt. If not, use hook to insert to the Bonnet Bolt. Workers must keep safety rule.

Before moving to warehouse or site, the worker in charge of it shall check the goods as follows.

- Are there any non-conformity on goods appearance?

- Is the Anti-rust oil coated inside of goods and machined parts?

- Is the painting condition proper?

- Is the plastic cap for bore and other covers equipped?

If the worker find any defects, please contact our company.

5. Preservation Instruction This instruction prescribes the preservation of complete valves.

In case the worker needs more time to install the valves, he had better preserve without opening the box

if possible.

When the worker takes out the valves from the box, the worker must clean the preserving place. If

possible, it had better to preserve the valves in dry and shiny building warehouse. In case that the worker

must stack products with two or three layers, the worker must make a stacking stand made of steel

angles and then store up the valves on it. And the goods shall not be loaded dangerously as the goods

seem to fall down.

Anti-rust oil must be spreader on the unpainted surface, and the worker must coat with it by every 6

months.

However, in case of preserving the valves out of doors, the worker must lay rubber mats or tent cloth on

them so that they can not be inserted dust or clay when it rains. In case of rain the worker must cover the

valves with tent cloth up to the top of them in order to prevent getting rained/snowed on. And it becoming

clear, the worker must take away the tent cloth immediately and remove moisture from products, so that

any rust due to the oxidation cannot occur on the surface of goods.

Before setting the valve in pipe line, the worker must open the plastic/wooden caps of each valves. At that

time the worker must be careful for any dust, oils not to enter into inside of valves. The worker must pay

attention in order not to let the valves out of doors alone without plastic/wooden caps for valve bore. If the

worker must move the products in the condition of piling up after opening the plastic/wooden caps, the

worker must take care of not to make any defects on serrated surfaces.

Preservation instruction in Special environment (in desert)

In desert, if the workers open the plastic cap and keep them out for several days, dust and sand mixed

with rust preventing oil in the bore have the seat facing of the valves scratched. This will be the cause of

leakage.

Sometimes, dust and sand go into the operation part of the valves (e. g. : packing bore, yoke bush, back

seat and so on) and will be the cause of mis-operation.

In addition, for gate valves, the bottom area of valve body's inner part should be kept cleaned when the

workers preserve or install the valves. Otherwise, the valves can't be completely closed after installing the

pipe line.

※ The workers should spread rust preventing oil on the unpainted surfaces once in every 5 days at site.

※ In desert, if dust and sand unfortunately go into the valves, the workers should wash inside of the

valves completely by water. After washing and drying the valves, the workers should spread rust

preventing oil.

※ At least, the workers should not open the plastic cap of valve bore until before installing the valves at

the pipe lines, except when spreading the rust preventing oil.

※ If the workers keep the valves by covering the valves with the rubber mats or tent cloth, the valves

will be rusted by moisture. So, In the sunny afternoon, the workers should take away the rubber

mats or tent cloth immediately and remove moisture from the goods.

6. Installation, Maintenance and repair Instruction (Dual Plate Check Valve)

6.1 Installation and Maintenance Instruction

a) Installation

- Install valves on pipe after clearing all foreign material in the flange side of valves and pipes,

inside of them, using clothes and solvent etc..

- Plate is moving within the radius of by this reason,

install pipes for plates not to hit against

the end part of pipe or gasket etc.

- In case of horizontal pipe install it with

the LIB of the Body vertical or with upper

part eye bolt at the center.

- In case of elbow and curved pipe,

plate moves heavily according to

change in flow of fluids. So, install

LIB and horizontal pipe in the same direction.

- Install it with arrow sign directions of the valve body and nameplate having the same direction

with flow of fluids.

- Do not fasten external bolts only in one direction. Fasten bolts and nuts by the order of direction.

- When piping the Butterfly Valve and the Plate,

because of occurring the interference,

must install the short pipe in the middle position.

b) Maintenance and Replacement: When repairs are necessary, it is recommended that body gasket

be replaced. Before removing the valve from line, be sure the valve is in closed

position and then remove the operator from the valve.

c) Disassembly of Valve

(Value type of General & Spec.)

- Disassembly of valve can be done by moving plug toward outside of valve and disconnect pin.

- While you disconnect pin, it is possible for the spring to bounce to the air by the force of

elasticity. So, work with spring grabbing it.

- While you assembly the value, after check the plate position and left it up as it should not be

changed. and then place the value securely on the leveled table.

(Value type of retainerless plug)

- Disassembly of value can be done by disconnecting the stop ring or small bolt supporting the

thrust bearing.

- Left all parts up as the plate and hinge pin, stop pin, bearing is connecting.

- While you assembly the value, after check the plate position and left it up as it should not be

changed and then place the value securely on the leveled table.

d) Assembly Order

(Value type of General & Spec.)

- Place the valve body securely on the leveled table.

- After placing plate and plate in original shape like assembly form, insert Hinge pin, from one

direction.

- While progressing toward Hole of the plate, put together Spring Bearing, Plate Bearing, Body

Bearing, Spring in the middle of it.

- Insert HINGE PIN after pulling two legs of the spring forward.

- Insert stop pin to the body equal to hinge pin and the bearing & spring is unconcern about it.

- Compare with the reference drawing and assembling shape.

- Connect the plug forward hole of the plate and then in order to protect the leak of plug bolt, in

case of rubber seat, it is used to Teflon or Silicon, in case of metal seat, it is used to Copaltite.

(Value type of retainerless plug)

- Place the valve body securely on the leveled table.

- After placing plate and plate in original shape like assembly form, insert Hinge pin, from one

direction.

- While progressing toward Hole of the plate, put together Spring Bearing, Plate Bearing, Body

Bearing, Spring in the middle of it.

- Insert HINGE PIN after pulling two legs of the spring forward.

- Insert stop pin to the body equal to hinge pin and the bearing & spring is unconcern about it.

- Compare with the reference drawing and assembling shape.

- Faster the trust bearing with connecting the stop ring & small bolt.

e) After installing new parts

(Value type of General & Spec.)

Reassemble, using the reverse order of the steps outlined above. Operate the valve several

times to be assured of smooth operation before reinstalling.

* Note : It is recommended that the re-assembled valve be pressure-tested in accordance with API

598/API 6D standard as applicable.

f) Maintenance and Repair

In order to prevent unexpected accident and use valve safely, it is very important to discover

problems quickly and treat them properly while performing daily and periodical inspection.

Even if valves are used properly, valves have definite life time due to wear and corrosion of

valves. It is necessary to predict the life time and replace valves and parts of them.

6.2 Daily Inspection

a) When you consider the seat leaks, check the foreign materials on the valve seat, in this case,

valve should be operated after remove the foreign materials,

b) If it has any noise, moving parts, take steps to deal with the matter after check the cause of leaking.

6.3 Regular Inspection

Disassemble the valve and inspect all parts of it by assembly order after stop the pump operating.

a) Please check the abrasion and foreign materials inside the seat if necessary, it should be repaired.

b) It is difficult to repair the abrasion, damage, corrosion there fore, please contact our company.

※ If the worker find any problem, he should plan to repair the valves, and the qualified repairman shall resolve

the problem by method like replacement, adjustment and welding. If he can't find the spare parts for

replacement just like gasket, disc and so on in his country, please contact our company.

6.4 Test-Operation and In-operation

a) At first, check pressure and temperature and then make sure there is no leaks on welded parts,

gasket, grand packing, plug, etc..

b) When you consider the valve leaks, take the fluids out of the valve and disconnect the valve from

pipe, and then check any foreign materials on valve seat, if any, remove it, if you consider there are

no foreign materials, check that the shape of assembled one inside the valve is identical to the first

state. if you can not check it, consult with our technical / QA department.
