The Need For Prayer

In our relationship with God there must be communication, as there is in any relationship. God desires to use us to accomplish His will on the earth. If we are believers, called of God and living our lives according to His Word, then we are in fact partners with God. In the beginning, God had a plan and it has not changed. He wants to have a people who love Him and trust Him and who seek after Him for their every need, want or desire. Through prayer we communicate with God and become intimate with Him. In prayer, God can reveal to us His plans, his purposes for our lives and for our church.

Church of Joy has been raised up with a mandate from God to empower a generation of young people who love the Lord and will proclaim the message of the gospel of the kingdom to their generation. We are called and equipped to build strong families in the region and to lift up the name of Jesus as the anchor for our lives and future. We now step out with Apostolic authority for this region, our nation and the world, tearing down strongholds and altars of Baal that dishonor our God. We are to flow in the spirit of Elijah to address the fathers, turning their hearts back to their children, according to Malachi 4:5-6. “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord: 6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, let I come and smite the earth with a curse.”

God has called us to stand in a place of morality and strength to be ready to declare a word of righteousness and morality to an up and coming generation who will receive their identity from God but who will need mothers in the earth to nurture them in their new identity. This is the challenge but we are well able, fit for the task. God has equipped us. God has charged us with a mandate to sound the alarm! Beat the drum! Awaken my people! Cry and contend in prayer! War for a generation! Compel fathers to repent!

Prayer is a powerful weapon but first it is a precious opportunity to gain intimacy with the Lord and allow Him to reveal himself to us. Prayer allows us an opportunity to worship and honor him by recognizing that He alone is worthy, and all things that we do are for Him and are accomplished in His strength. We are a praying church. We consecrate Tuesday evenings as a time of corporate prayer and intercession to declare what is on the heart of God. We exercise our authority in prayer to declare God’s will be done one earth as it is in heaven.

Knowing God’s people are destroyed for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6), we teach a bold, uncompromising and balanced message of God’s Word. Through this anointed teaching and preaching, we will continue to fulfill our purpose as stated in I John 3:8b- “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” Set the captives free.

The Need For Prayer (cont.) In order to accomplish all of this, we must be a people of prayer, who know their God and follow His directions. Prayer is the key that unlocks the will of God, the doors of destiny that we are to walk through and prayer gives us the wisdom of God to know how to do what he calls us to do. Church of Joy, Reach a Generation (Sidewalk Sunday School) was birthed in prayer, established in prayer and will be sustained by prayer. The scope and size of our ministry outreach is another focus of our praying.

Cultivating our new Adult congregation while continuing to expand our ministry to children and teens, is our mandate from God. There is Reach a Generation (Sidewalk Sunday School), indoors and outdoors, Operation Holiday Hope, The

Bus Ministry, Winter Koats For Kids, School Supply Give-Away, our Boys and Girls Homes, Church On The Bus and a growing Hispanic ministry. Through these outreaches we are piercing the darkness and providing hope to countless young people. We are engaging in spiritual warfare every time we give a child

a toy or a sack lunch, roll our buses into neighborhoods and pick children up for church. All of these efforts must be bathed in prayer. In addition to Reach a Generation and Youth Ministry, we have built an

educational component for our children and teens with our After School Tutoring program, Christian School Scholarship program, Recording Studio, Multi-Media Learning Center and our Bible College (for more information on our

vision, please reference the Ministry Vision Book 2015. All of these programs require financial resources, partners and open doors that only God can orchestrate. We are now at the beginning stages of building a large local church that carries influence in the Region as well as national impact. God is

going to use us to influence this region through Children’s and Youth conferences, Television ministry- streaming live on the internet, and prayer initiatives like our Mobile Prayer Team who are going out, tearing down the

altars of Baal to death, violence and destruction in our Region, breaking Generational curses that mark many families and keep them from advancing and living fulfilled lives of liberty and blessing.

So we pray for all of our endeavors, that God would continue to pour out His blessing and favor on us so that we can fulfill the vision that He has birthed in our pastor.

4

The Need For Prayer (cont.) The size of the operation for Church of Joy ministry is growing. God has already begun the process of building a competent staff of anointed and skilled ministers to work along side Pastor Luis, to help fulfill the great vision he has given. We now have 12 full-time staff persons and the funds to support that budget. Everything we do we do in faith and we pray that God continues to build our full-time staff and provide the resources it takes to support that growth.

In addition to full-time staff, we employ part-time persons to maintain our facilities. We also have Bible College interns- young people who have a heart to work in the ministry, that we support in our housing through full scholarships. We also have adult volunteers who assist us with ministry weekly. With our church facility, our Bus Depot housing 36 vehicles (buses, Sidewalk Trucks, vans, etc). The size of our operation is only going to increase. And to support this increase, we need to pray for certain things:

-  Our pastor- that God continues to speak to him, lead him and guide him in the decisions he has to make for the ministry.

-  The staff- that they follow the leading of the pastor and operate all areas of the ministry with excellence and in the spirit of unity.

-  The volunteers- that they be committed in their assignment in the ministry and that the process of multiplication will increase our volunteers to the number needed to support our growing ministry.

- Our donor base- that they be abundantly blessed for their generous

support and that they remain faithful to the cause of Church of Joy, for which they give.

-  The favor of God over our ministry so that open doors of opportunity would continue to come. That we would be a light to the community, spotlighting the great and might works God is doing in this region.

We are blessed to be a blessing!

Becoming a Person of Prayer. James 5:16- The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. “True prayer rises naturally from the hearts of those who are joined to Jesus. It is an expression of a personal and intimate relationship with the Lord. It just has to be sincere.” (Secrets to Powerful Prayer, Lynne Hammond and Patsy Cameneti, Pg 11) Put very simply, prayer is talking to God and God talking back to you- two-way communication. We pray or talk to God about the things that concern us, things that concern God according to the Word of God. Prayer must be biblically based to be effective. John 14:13 states: “Whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the father might be glorified in the son”. We cannot pray selfish, self-serving prayers and expect that God will positively answer. James 4:3 (nkjv) says You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss. In order for our prayers to be answered, we must have pure motives and proper methods. Praying the Word of God is a pretty solid way to know you are praying correctly. What should we pray about and when should we prayer, where and why? “Prayer is both part of God involving us in his plans, and us being remade in his likeness.” (Prayer An Adventure With God, David Healy, pg. 6) As individuals we pray about everything from our own lives, our families, friends, co-workers and our personal spiritual growth and development. As part of a church body, we pray for our pastor and his family, the staff and their families, all the congregational members, ministry workers/volunteers, ministry property, buildings, etc., and all areas of ministry- internal and outreach. We pray that God would bless the ministry, increase the effectiveness of the ministry, for souls to be saved, for continued good health, for safety from all hurt, harm and danger, for unity of the spirit, for powerful-anointed services, etc. The Word says in I Thessalonians 5:17- “Pray without ceasing.” Does this mean that we go around with our eyes closed and head bowed in prayer 24/7? No, but we maintain a heart that is prayerful or a heart that is turned toward God, sensitive to Him and his leading. Then we will pray what He wants us to prayer and He will answer.

6

Becoming a Person of Prayer (cont.) Prayer can be done on an individual basis on your own personal time at home, in your car or where ever you decide is the place where you can get alone with God to talk things over with Him. People call this a prayer closet, prayer room; a place of pray is as unique as we are. Don’t let not having a specified place dedicated to prayer, be a hindrance to you praying. God hears you wherever you are, as long as you are praying with your heart about things that matter and you are sincere about connecting with Him. The Holy Spirit can consecrate your car or your bathroom to be your prayer room, if that is where you call on His name. How to pray a prayer that God hears John 15:7-8- “If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you will ask what you desire and it shall be done for you. By this is my father glorified that you bear much fruit; so you will be my disciples.”. Vs 16- “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name he may give you.”. 1. We must be abiding in Jesus, have a relationship with Him as savior. 2. His Word, the Bible must be in us, abide in us. We must read it, meditate on it and have it in our spirit. 3. Then what we ask for will flow out of our relationship with Jesus and His Word. that is what He promises to do- answer prayer that flows from Him and His Word. 4. We pray to the Father and ask in Jesus’ name. It is by His authority that we ask the Father. Jesus’ name is like a password to obtain access to God.

How to hear God. God speaks to us through His Word, the Bible. He also speaks to us through other people who have the authority to speak into our lives such as our pastor, other minister of the Word. As we are in prayer and seeking God for answers and direction, peace, etc., we must take time to be still and listen for God to speak to us. Through the still, small voice in our spirit God will reveal His will to us. Psalms 46:10- “Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 4:4- “Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart on your bed, and be still.” We need to get quiet enough before God so that our mind can hear what the Spirit of God is saying to our heart. It’s not that God’s voice is getting louder, but as we wait on Him, the loud clamor of our lives fades away and we can now hear. The secret things are reserved for those who wait on the Lord. (Isaiah 64:4)

Becoming a Person of Prayer (cont.) Different kinds of Prayer Ephesians 6:18 (NKJV)- “praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.” In the amplified version it says to pray with all manner of prayer...There are different kinds of prayer to use in various situations. Applying the wrong kind of prayer to a given situation will not bring the desired results.

There are generally three categories of prayer, i.e.. prayer that changes things, prayers of thanksgiving and praise and prayers of dedication and consecration. We will give a brief overview of some of the prayers included in each category. These prayers are added weaponry in our arsenal of spiritual weapons.

Prayer that changes things includes: - Casting all your cares - the prayer of supplication - the prayer of agreement - the prayer of binding and loosing - the prayer of faith - intercessory prayer - united prayer

1 Peter 5:7(amp)- “Therefore humble yourselves...under the mighty hand of God, that in due time he may exalt you. Casting the whole of your care- all your anxieties, all you worries, all your concerns once and for all- on Him; for He cares for you affectionately, and cares about you watchfully.” This is the prayer of casting your cares and it is a foundational prayer of learning how to take all the things that have you distressed and bound up, laying them on the altar and letting God handle them. All prayer is based on our knowing how to trust God to handle situations once we have prayed about it. If we don’t walk in faith after praying, fear will overtake us and render us powerless and our prayers ineffective. Don’t worry- this is a command of God you can read about in Matthew 6:25-34. Be reassured that God is faithful to take care of those things that concern you. Meditate on Hebrews 13:5 amp- “For He (God) Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will]not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless, nor forsake nor let [you] down [relax My hold on you]- Assuredly not!”

8

Becoming a Person of Prayer (cont.) And Romans 4:21 amp- “God is able and mighty to keep His word and to do what He had promised.”, Psalm 34:19 amp- “Many evils confront the [consistently] righteous; but the Lord delivers him out of them all.” With God’s word in your heart you will be able to cast all your cares on Him. Philippians 4:6-8 nkjv gives us a four-part process to pray this prayer:

1- Supplicate- tell the Lord specifically what is troubling you- unload on God 2- Make a definite request- ask Him to meet your need, give you wisdom or just handle the problem. 3- Thank God- even though you do not see the results in the natural, thank God for what you see with faith eyes, the supernatural peace will settle in your heart. I John 5:14-15- “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. 4- Fix your mind on the true Word of God- think good and praiseworthy things. The prayer of Supplication- Ephesians 6:18- “Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.” This is a more intense, more heart-wrenching prayer than most other kinds of prayer. The word supplication means and earnest entreaty with heartfelt fervency. This prayer comes from the heart and soul of the person praying. They are not just asking for something, they are desperate for it and they cry out to God with everything they have. Depend on the Holy Spirit to help you supplicate. The Holy Spirit is the spirit of grace and supplication- Hebrews 10:29. He is fervent and he will help your prayers be fervent, Romans 8:26. Scriptural examples of this prayer would be David in Psalm 27:1-4 amp- “…One Thing have I asked of the Lord, that I will seek after, inquire for, and [insistently] require, that I may dwell in the house of the Lord [in His presence] all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty [the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness] of the Lord, and to meditate, consider and inquire in His temple. Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud: have mercy and be gracious to me and answer me!” The story of Hannah praying for a child in I Samuel 1:10-17, blind Bartimaeus in Mark 10:51, 52 cried out to Jesus for his sight. Praying for souls to be saved, a move of God or confession of sins should be a fervent prayer of supplication. Be led by the Spirit in your prayers, listen to the inner witness of the spirit, don’t be lead by feelings or circumstances. 9

Becoming a Person of Prayer (cont.) The prayer of Agreement. Matthew 18:19-20 nkjv- “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

This is a very powerful prayer and when we are in agreement or in harmony, we make a sound that moves the hand of God but makes the devil flee in terror.

Praying in agreement multiplies our prayer power as it states in Deuteronomy 32:30 nkjv- “How could one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, and the Lord and surrendered them?” This prayer is based on the biblical principal of unity and agreement as noted in

the following scriptures: Eccl 4:9-12 nkjv- “Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if three fall, one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up...a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”

If you have agreement between yourself, another person and God, don’t give up. Hold fast to your confession of faith.

The prayer of binding and loosing- Matthew 16:19- “And I will give unto thee the Keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed

in heaven.” Jesus was talking to Peter in this verse, after Peter declared the truth of who

Jesus was- the Christ, the son of the living God. This revelation of truth was to be rewarded by this power to bind and loose. Jesus later repeated this to the rest of the disciples in Matthew 18:18- “Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth

shall be loosed in heaven.

When Jesus was raised from the dead, He stripped Satan of his authority over

mankind. That authority has been delegated to the Body of Christ in the earth. Bind Satan in the Name of Jesus. “Satan, we bind you and render you helpless in this situation. As a matter of record, you are hereby bound in the Name of

Jesus.” From then on, we thank God that Satan is bound and unable to work in the situation. We refuse to give him any place.

10

Becoming a Person of Prayer (cont.) This was a very important weapon that Christ gave the disciples as he prepared to leave them. He knew they would need to have power and authority over demon spirits just as he had demonstrated this power. Christ’s mission was to set the captives Free, and by binding demon spirits or evil spirits, negative forces, he could then loose positive spirits or positive declarations in their place; and lives would be changed. This is how we use this prayer. Whenever we see or it is revealed to us that evil spirits are operating in our home, on our jobs, in our relationships, in a transaction or process, through Jesus Christ, the anointed one; we have the power to bind those negative things and bring them captive to the Spirit of God and then loose the positive results we need. Christ demonstrated another important element to this process and that is disposing of these evil spirits and rendering them powerless to hinder any one else. Jesus commanded the evil spirits that he cast out of the man of Gaderenes to go into a herd of swine and they were immediately destroyed as they ran off a cliff. Mark 5:13 “And forthwith Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea.” Matthew 12:43 “When the Unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.” Don’t allow the circumstances around you dictate your day or how a service will flow. Take authority over those circumstances and speak the Word of God and change things for the better. Jesus gave us the keys.

11

Becoming a Person of Prayer (cont.) The prayer of Faith- Mark 11:22-24- “And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when you pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” All prayer requires faith, you must believe God and His word in order to receive that which you are asking. However, the prayer of faith requires a different kind of believing. It requires us not just to trust that God hears and receives our prayer, but that He will respond in a specific way. We must know without a doubt what the will of God is about the particular thing we are addressing in prayer. And regardless how we feel or what we see, we believe we received it when we prayed- God has granted our request. There are two parts to this prayer, the “praying” and the “saying”. We must ask God for what we desire and remember who we are asking; it is the God of the universe. Ask specifically before thanking God, then once you have prayed and communed with God and received the assurance of your answer, hold fast to you confession of faith. Hebrews 10:23- “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) who also shall do it.” Knowing the Word of God is vital to the prayer of faith. So before you pray the prayer of faith, get out your Bible. Find the promises that pertain to what you need. Read them and meditate on them until you know that you believe them. Speak words of faith only until that thing you desire has come to pass. Intercessory Prayer- Ezekiel 22:30; 1 Timothy 2:1- “And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I would not destroy it: but I found none…I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks, be made for all men.” Love is the primary motive underlying the prayer of intercession. We love those we are praying for and we will continue to pray and intercede for them until they have what they need from God.

12

Becoming a Person of Prayer (cont.) Definition: “Intercessory Prayer is an extension of the ministry of Jesus through His body, the church, whereby we mediate between God and humanity for the purpose of reconciling the world to Him, or between Satan and humanity for the purpose of enforcing the victory of Calvary.” (Dutch Sheets, Intercessory Prayer) We stand as a representative of God when we intercede. In intercessory prayer we will put God in remembrance of his Word. We plead with God, not begging, but presenting our case before God, the judge of all and asking for mercy, according to His Word and the blood of Christ. Moses was a great example of an intercessor- read Exodus 32:11-13. God spared the people because of Moses’ pleading, not because of His Word. Someone must stand in the gap for people, for nations, cities. Who will answer the call? United Prayer- Acts 4:24- “And when they heard…they lifted up their voice to God with one accord and said…” “When we as believers come together collectively in united prayer, the Spirit of the Lord moves among us. We experience a fullness of the Spirit that cannot be obtained by any other kid of prayer. United prayer brings powerful results. It doesn’t just change the life of one individual, it affects entire groups of people. Real untied prayer can affect and entire church, city, state or even a nation. It creates an open heaven where there is no opposition in the spirit realm and clears the way for God to move freely.” (Secrets to Powerful Prayer, Lynne Hammond, Patsy Cameneti, pg. 41) Great things happen under an open heaven, read Genesis 28:13-14 and Mark 1:9-10 The Bible is full of examples of things happening immediately after the heavens were opened: Immediately a fever left, immediately leprosy departed, immediately he took up his bed and walked… An open heaven provides immediate miracles. Open heavens are the result of God’s people uniting in prayer and praising God. United prayer is necessary in four situations. First, during times of crisis. Acts 4:23- 32- Paul and the others were being threatened. They lifted up their voices before God and it says, “And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul.” The key to effective united prayer is unity of hearts. United prayer is a chorus of people praying with one mind. In heaven it is recorded as one voice. 13

Becoming a Person of Prayer (cont.) The second need for United Prayer is when corporate mercy and forgiveness are needed- Ezra 10:1,2,6-7,9-12. Ezra was not even the one who sinned, but he started the repentance by weeping for the sins of the people. As a result all the people wept and repented before God and received mercy and forgiveness. In Joel 2:15-17, the prophecy came forth that the Lord would pour out his spirit on all flesh. This was after the people united in prayers of repentance to God for the sins of the nation. The third way united prayer manifests is during times of unified worship. The dedication of Solomon’s temple was display of God’s power manifesting in response to united prayer and praise- 2 Chronicles 5:11-14. Acts 16:25- at midnight Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises and they were miraculously delivered. Great power is available when God’s people worship in real unity. The fourth kind of situation that calls for united prayer is one where a group of people need guidance from God. In 2 Chronicles 20:13-18, the whole country of Judah was in trouble, they had been attacked by three enemies at the same time. They needed a Word from God- what should they do? “And all Judah stood before the Lord, with their little ones, their wives, and their children- vs 13.” When everyone sought the Lord, He spoke to them through a prophet and declared, “Stand still and see the salvation of the Lord. The battle is not yours, but God’s”. The next day, they had the victory over their enemies and they sang and praised God and never had to fight at all. The enemies were defeated supernaturally. God will show up powerfully when we join in united prayer, seeking him for what we need.

14

15

Spiritual Warfare. Spiritual Warfare- Ephesians 6:11, “Put on the whole armour of God that ye may be

able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;  15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.  17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:  18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; Before we engage in spiritual warfare, we need to understand 3 things: 1.  We need wisdom to know how to fight our enemy. Satan is ancient and has

been fighting a long time. We need to be able to discern his plots and schemes. 2.  We must be virtuous when fighting this enemy. He will attempt to exploit every

weakness in character to defeat us. Be open and honest with God as you fight. 3. There are no short cuts to successful warfare. “Prepare plans by consultation, and

make war by wise guidance” Proverbs 20:18. We are to “stand guard” over the battlefields of our lives until the battle is over. We are

to maintain a critical position over the battlefield- stand guard over the will of God for our lives. Determine not to give an inch to the enemy.

The #1 battlefield is the mind. But the Word of God says in II Cor 2:11- “Lest Satan

should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” His devices are

plots and schemes, “mind games” that he plays with us to get us to give up the fight. We must take control of our mind and our thoughts. II Cor 10:5- “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;”

We must stop listening to ourselves and start speaking to ourselves. Dictate to your

mind, emotions, senses, what are to believe from God’s Word.

16

Spiritual Warfare (cont.) Spiritual Weapons- IICor. 10: 3-4-(New King James Version) 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, We have weapons mighty enough to overcome anything the devil brings our way. We war in the realm of the spirit. The battle is in our minds- satan wants to control our lives by controlling our thoughts. Hope protects our mind. Expect good and not bad. What are strongholds? They are evil spiritual beings that work directly with the devil. They study us and know us better than we know ourselves. They operate through the medium of thought. They are at war with us and we are at war with them.” (Terry Law, The Fight Of the Believer, pg 2) Who will win? Make up your mind. Stronghold=mindset- certain ways of thinking. We must unlearn this way of thinking overtime, by using our weapons- the Word of God. How do we pull down strongholds? The lies and thoughts designed to destroy our spiritual life and ministry, must be realigned with God’s Word. We must have the mind of Christ. I Cor 2:16-(New King James Version) For “who has known the mind of the LORD that he may instruct Him?”[a] But we have the mind of Christ. Weapons: • The Word of God-in your mouth • The Blood of Jesus- our covering/protection • The Name of Jesus- our authority • The Holy Spirit

Vision for our Church Father, in the name of Jesus, we come into Your presence thanking You for Church of Joy. You have called us to be saints in this northern region and around the world. As we lift our voices in one accord, we recognize that You are God and everything was made by and for You. We call into being those things that be not as though they were. We thank You that we all speak the same thing: There is no division among us; we are perfectly joined together in the same mind. Grant unto us, Your representatives here, a boldness to speak Your Word, which You will confirm with signs following. We thank You that we have workmen in abundance and all manner of cunning people for every manner of work. Each department operates in the excellence of ministry and intercessions. We have in our church the ministry gifts for the edifying of this body till we all come into the unity of the faith, and the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a mature person. None of our people will be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine. We speak the truth in love. We are a growing and witnessing body of believers becoming hundreds strong. We have every need met. Therefore, we meet the needs of people who come — spirit, soul and body. We ask for the wisdom of God in meeting these needs. Father, we thank You for this ministry facility that will meet the needs of the ministry You have called us to. Our church is prospering financially, and we have more than enough to meet every situation. We have everything we need to carry out Your Great Commission and reach this northern region for Jesus. We are a people of love as love is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. We thank You that the Word of God is living big in all of us and Jesus is Lord! We are a supernatural church, composed of supernatural people doing supernatural things, for we are laborers together with God. We thank You for Your presence among us, and we lift our hands and praise Your holy name! Amen. Prayer For Pastor Father, we stand together as a remnant in the power of all, to pray as we lift up our Pastor to you. Thank you Lord that you have called Pastor Louie to lead a great work in this Region and we pray that his courage would not fail. He has heard Your Word and the mandate to bring the Spirit of Elijah to this generation so that the next generation can be preserved. You are raising Pastor Louie up to be a voice to the African American community, calling them to wake up out of their sleep, shake off their religion and tradition and embrace the true gospel of the kingdom. Thank you that he stands in apostolic authority to accomplish Your will through this revival and for Your kingdom. Lord, as you spoke to the prophet Samuel in 1Samuel 3:10, speak to our Pastor and give him direction so that he can lead your people in the right way. Anoint him with wisdom and give him a clear plan so that we can accomplish your mandate to stream live the ministry of Sidewalk Sunday School and Church of Joy. Thank you that he boldly declares the vision and the plan as you speak to him, and that he would “be strong and of a good courage” to prosper in the vision that you have given him for this season. (Joshua 1:7). Thank you that according to Isaiah 11:2-4, “The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him - the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord - and he will delight in the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears; but with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth.” We pray that you will protect his heart. Infuse him with your love, your compassion, your mercy and grace as he flows in the Spirit of Elijah. Thank you, that you will use him as a forerunner to turn the hearts of fathers to children, and the hearts of children to the Father. We pray that you will give him spiritual discernment, that he might have ears to hear and eyes to see the spiritual battle that must be fought. Give him the plan for using live streaming, music and the

Strengthen Pastor with supernatural strength to carry out the vision, lead the people, and stand against demonic powers and principalities. Give him immunity from the attacks of the enemy - sickness, disease and torment. We cover his home, his family and all that he possesses in the blood of Jesus. We declare according to Isaiah 54:17 that no weapon formed against Pastor Louie or this ministry will prosper. Let Your will be done through Pastor Louie and through this ministry for the up and coming generation. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Eyes open, ears open, receive the revelation of Jesus Christ. Change is here! Lethargy, apathy, lack of agreement- you are bound now on the authority of the name of Jesus. We declare, there is strong leadership in the churches of this region, who will lead God’s people to the light of the truth, the power of Revival. Prayers for Renewal Father God, we come to you, seeking the Holy Spirit. We want to be made new, make us over in your image as the Holy Spirit reveals it to us. We yield ourselves to this process and we dedicate to consecrate ourselves, set ourselves apart for the work that you want to do in our lives. Lord God, through fasting and prayer, we surrender to this renewal process. We prepare our bodies to be the temple of the Holy Spirit, alive with the spirit, your love, your giftings and revelation knowledge. From the overflow of your Spirit in us, we will speak forth blessings to others, encouraging and exhorting in humility. We seek you God, with a hunger and passion, to be in your presence. Move in our lives by your Spirit and stir up our hunger and thirst, causing us to want more and more of You- more love, more power, more love. Our praise and worship will express need for a tough from you, God. With our lips we will lift you up and exalt your name so your manifest presence is in our lives. As we come before you Lord, as one body, united in corporate worship and prayer, refresh and renew our spirits, souls and bodies. Let us be of one mind, as we pray for your Kingdom to come and your will to be done in our Region and in our Nation. As one body, we seek you to intervene in the affairs of men and we cry out for the people to be changed and to submit to your leadership in their lives.   And as we are changed in your presence, Lord, give us boldness to share your love, your Word and your ways with others who need you. Give us the grace we need to disciple our brothers and sisters in Christ and help others to grow in their knowledge of you.   Lord, we renew our commitment to You and we dedicate our time, our energy, our resources, our money to You. We will be loyal to you and to your Word and the Holy Spirit. Our faith is in You. We eill believe you to do the impossible in our lives and in the lives of those who need You. We renew our love relationship with the Lord Jesus, God the Father and God the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Ministry Finances Father, in the name of Jesus, we believe that all of the needs of Church of Joy are met, according to Philippians 4:19. We believe that — because this ministry has given tithes and offerings to further Your cause to help youth, adults and families come to the knowledge of the truth — [gifts] will be given to them; good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over will they be poured into their bosom. For with the measure they deal out, it will be measured back to them. Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray, confess and believe according to Your Word that those in Your Body who have sown [the seed of] spiritual good among the people will reap from the people’s material benefits, for You have directed that those who publish the good news of the Gospel should live and get their maintenance by the Gospel. We confess that Your ministers with Church of Joy seek and are eager for the fruit that increases to the people’s credit [the harvest of blessing that is accumulating to their account]. The people’s gifts are the fragrant odor of an offering and sacrifice that You, Father, welcome and in which You delight. You will liberally supply (fill to the full) the people’s every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Father, we call forth partners who will respond to Your call to support this ministry prayerfully and financially. (continued on next page.)

Ministry Finances continued… Lord, we thank You for directing the leader, Pastor Luis, who seeks Your ways, teaching him the fortitude of Your Word and the steadfastness of its truth. Your anointing, which destroys the yoke of bondage, abides within him permanently. Teach him to pray for the people and the government of our land. We thank You for Your Word, which brings freedom to the hearers, and we thank You for preparing their hearts to receive the good news of the Gospel. Lord, strengthen (complete, perfect) and make Pastor Luis what he ought to be, equipping him with everything good that he may carry out Your will; [while You Yourself] work in him and accomplish that which is pleasing in Your sight, through Jesus Christ (the Messiah), to Whom be the glory forever and ever (to the ages of the ages). Prayers for Ministry Partners Introduction Our ministry, Word Ministries, Inc., is a prayer ministry dedicated to uniting people of the Christian faith for the purpose of praying God’s will into the earth for all nations. The effectual fervent prayer of the righteous has great power and wonderful results when prayed according to God’s will. (James 5:16.)

In our ministry we correspond with and pray for people around the world, conduct prayer schools and continue to write scriptural prayers for many situations. During these last days, networks of intercessors are reaching out in a cooperative effort to bring God to the nations.

The Lord has worked out a plan for financing His work in the earth. As our part of that plan, we send letters of acknowledgment to everyone who gives into this ministry. The following are prayers written especially for our contributors. They may be prayed for the partners of any ministry.

Father, we thank You for our partners and for their service and dedication to serve You. We thank You that they bring forth the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance.

Our partners are Your creation of love and has been crucified with Christ: Nevertheless, they live; yet not them, but Christ lives in them. And the life that our partners now lives in the flesh, they live by the faith of the Son of God, Who loved them and gave Himself for them.

Father, we thank You that Church of Joy/Sidewalk Sunday School is good ground, that they hear Your Word and understands it and that the Word bears fruit in their life. They are like a tree planted by the rivers of water, bringing forth fruit in its season. Their leaf shall not wither, and whatever they do, in the name of Jesus, shall prosper. (continued on next page.)

Prayers For Ministry Partners continued… Thank You, Father, for filling our partners with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, that they may walk worthy of You, Lord, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of You. Our partners are merciful, as their Father is merciful. Because they do not judge other people, they will not be judged. They do not condemn and they will not be condemned. Our partners forgive others, and people forgive them. Our partners give and men will give to them — yes, good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will they pour into their lap. For whatever measure they uses with other people, they will use in their dealings with them. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen. Please enjoy this selection from the Prayers That Avail Much family book series by Germaine Copeland. Children’s Ministry Teachers Father, we come in the name of Jesus, asking You for called teachers for our classes and choirs. We thank You for teachers who are filled with the Spirit of God, in wisdom and ability, in understanding and intelligence, in knowledge and in all kinds of craftsmanship, to devise skillful methods for teaching us and our children the Word of God. They are teachers who give themselves to teaching. Father, may these teachers recognize that they must assume the greater accountability. According to Your Word, teachers will be judged by a higher standard and with greater severity [than other people]. We thank You that our teachers will not offend in speech — never say the wrong things — that they may be fully developed characters and perfect men and women, each one able to control his/her own body and to curb his/her entire nature. Thank You that our teachers are part of the fivefold ministry who are perfecting and fully equipping the saints (God’s consecrated people), [that they should do] the work of ministering toward building up Christ’s Body (the Church), [that it might develop] until we all attain oneness in the faith and in the comprehension of the full and accurate knowledge of the Son of God; that [we might arrive] at really mature manhood — the completeness of personality, which is nothing less than the standard height of Christ’s own perfection — the measure of the stature of the fullness of the Christ and the completeness found in Him. Thank You, Father, that Your people at our church are no longer children, tossed [like ships] to and fro. They are enfolded in love, growing up in every way and in all things into Him, Who is the Head, [even] Christ, the Messiah, the Anointed One. (continued on the next page.)

33

Children’s Ministry Teachers continued… Father, You are effectually at work in our teachers — energizing and creating in them the power and desire — both to will and to work for Your good pleasure and satisfaction and delight. Father, in the name of Jesus, their power and ability and sufficiency are from You. [It is You] Who have qualified them (making them to be fit, worthy and sufficient) as ministers and dispensers of a new covenant. They are not ministers of the law which kills; but of the (Holy) Spirit, which makes alive. Father, we rejoice in the Lord over our teachers and commit to undergird them with our faith and love. We will not judge or criticize them, but speak excellent and princely things concerning them. The opening of our lips shall be for right things. Thank You, Father, that the teachers live in harmony, with the other members of our church, being in full accord and of one harmonious mind and intention. Each is not [merely] concerned for his/her own interests, but each for the interest of others. Jesus is our example in humility, and our teachers shall tend — nurture, guard, guide and fold — the flock of God which is [their responsibility], and will be examples of Christian living to the flock (the congregation). Thank You, Father, for the performance of Your Word in our midst, in the name of Jesus. Amen. • We  are  women  of  God,  the  Body  of  Christ.    • Our  body  is  the  house  of  God.  God  lives  in  us  and  we  belong  to  Him.  • I  am  a  disciplined  woman  of  God.  I  give  myself  conNnually  to  prayer  and  to  the  ministry  of  the  Word.  I  study  to  show  myself  approved  unto  God,  a  workman  who  needs  not  to  be  ashamed,  rightly  dividing  the  word  of  truth.  I  am  not  conformed  to  this  world,  but  transformed  by  the  renewing  of  my  mind,  to  prove  what  is  that  good  and  acceptable  and  perfect  will  of  God.  I  am  risen  with  Christ.  I  seek  those  things  which  are  above  where  Christ  sits  on  the  right  hand  of  God.  I  set  my  mind  on  those  things  above,  not  on  the  things  on  this  earth.  Whatsoever  things  are  true,  honest,  just,  pure,  lovely,  of  good  report,  virtuous,  and  praiseworthy,  these  are  the  only  things  I  fix  my  mind  on.  • I  love  my  spouse  as  Jesus  loved  the  church,  and  gave  him/herself  for  it.  We  walk  in  harmony  and  in  one  accord.  We've  been  made  one  by  the  Spirit  of  God.  I  love  my  children.  I  train  them  in  the  way  they  should  go,  and  when  they  are  old  they  will  not  depart  from  it.  I  raise  them  up  in  the  nurture  and  the  admoniNon  of  the  Lord.    • My  body  is  the  temple  of  the  Holy  Ghost.  There  shall  no  evil  befall  me,  neither  shall  any  plague  come  near  my  dwelling.  By  the  stripes  of  Jesus  I  am  healed.  I  am  blessed  with  the  blessings  of  Abraham.  The  blessing  of  the  Lord  makes  me  rich  and  He  adds  no  sorrow  to  it.  I  prosper  and  live  in  health  even  as  my  soul  prospers.  As  He  who  has  called  me  is  holy,  so  I  am  holy  in  all  manner  of  life  style  because  it  is  wri[en,  "Be  ye  holy  as  I  am  holy".  • My  conversaNon  is  always  full  of  grace,  seasoned  with  salt,  so  that  I  may  know  how  to  answer  everyone.(Colossians  4:5-‐6)    I  will  be  gracious  and  kind  to  those  who  come  to  visit  our  ministry  and  I  will  welcome  them  with  the  love  of  the  Lord.  • I  will  give  my  Nme,  my  energy,  my  finances-‐  all  that  I  am,  to  the  building  of  the  ministry  and  support  of  the  vision  here  at  Church  of  Joy.    I  will  always  think  of  others  and  be  here  when  I  am  needed  as  a  support  and  supply  to  my  brothers  and  sisters  in  the  Lord.    I  do  everything  in  the  power  of  all  and  I  do  not  seek  self-‐graNficaNon  or  acknowledgement.    In  meekness,  I  serve  according  to  the  grace  God  has  blessed  me  with.  • Thank  you  Lord,  for  giving  me  a  church  home  and  this  church  family  to  support  and  uphold  me  and  my  family.    Thank  you  Lord,  for  the  opportunity  you  have  given  me  to  be  a  light  of  your  goodness  to  other  and  to  lead  them  into  your  presence  where  they  can  have  their  needs  met.  I  will  give  myself  to  raise  up  other  women  to  be  a  supply  of  your  love  and  grace.    In  Jesus’  name,    Amen.

A Prayer for Protection Throughout the Bible we are constantly reminded to “fear not.” It is not God’s will that we live in anxiety or fear, ever. Remember, He is well able to protect you, your family and all who take a stand on His Word. The following is a prayer based totally on Scripture. Put yourself and God in remembrance of His Word and know that the only “safe” place there will ever be is under His protection. Father, in the Name of Jesus, I thank You that You watch over Your Word to perform it. Father, I praise You that I dwell in the secret place of the Most High and that I shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty—whose power no foe can withstand. I will say of You, Lord, “The Lord is my refuge and my fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I confidently trust!” For then You will deliver me from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. Then You will cover me with Your fathers, and under Your wings shall I trust and find refuge. Your truth and Your faithfulness are a shield and a buckler. Father, You are my confidence, firm and strong. You keep my foot from stumbling, being caught in a trap, or hidden danger. Father, You give me safety and ease me. I know You will keep me in perfect peace because my mind is stayed on You and I trust in You. I thank You, Lord, that I may lie down and You will give me peaceful sleep, for You sustain me and make me dwell in safety. I shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand, but it shall not come near me. Only a spectator shall I be—inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High—as I witness the reward of the wicked. Because I have made You, Lord, my refuge, and the Most High my dwelling place, there shall no evil befall me, nor any plague come near my tent. For You will give Your angels especial charge over me, to accompany and defend and preserve me in all my ways of obedience and service. They are encamped around about me. Your angels shall bear me up on their hands, lest I dash my foot against a stone.

36

Prayer of Protection continued… I shall tread upon the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent shall I trample underfoot. Because I have set my love upon You, therefore will You deliver me. You will set me on high, because I know and understand Your Name. I have a personal knowledge of Your mercy, love and kindness. I trust and rely on You, knowing You will never forsake me, no, never. I shall call upon You, and You will answer me. You will be with me in trouble. You will deliver me and honor me. With long life will You satisfy me and show me Your salvation! Continue to feast and meditate on this prayer for yourself and for your loved ones. Speaking it daily will allow the Word of God concerning protection to reach deep into your spirit. Strength for the Battle - Fortified for War Let’s join together and pray: Lord, we come before you as a humble people. We are thankful, God that you have called us and given us the mandate of being the voice to the African American people and to raise up the Elijah Movement to call forth fathers to love their children and children to the love of the father. We dedicate ourselves to this cause and we stand in complete agreement with our Pastor, as he leads us. We dedicate and consecrate our selves to uprightness in our thinking, our talking and our interactions with others. Lord, convict us of things we are doing that go contrary to your Word, your Will. We repent of any area of our lives that we have not allowed the Holy Spirit to inspect- we open up our lives to the light of your truth to shine in and expose every dark place. We renounce spirits that would tempt us to compromise. We humble ourselves and renounce the hidden works of darkness. For you are the God of all Truth and there is no shadiness or compromise in you. Open our eyes so that we will see things as you see them, according to your Word. We will acknowledge you in every area of our lives: our finances, our family, our relationships with others, and our relationship with You. Now, according to the authority of the name of Jesus and his blood, we bind every evil spirit that has come against this body, Church of Joy. We command these spirits to cease operating against us, in Jesus’ name. Demon spirits, you are loosed from your assignments and we send you forth into outer darkness, to the dry place, where you can do no more harm, in Jesus’ name. “We pray a covering of protection by the blood of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit, over our Pastor and his family. We place upon them the full armor and decree that the weapons of his warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God. Empower him to pull down strongholds, cast down vain imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of Jesus Christ. In the Name of Jesus, we speak that God’s anointing destroys every

Strength For The Battle continued… …yoke and he and his family are protected from all hurt, harm, danger and wicked and unreasonable men and women. We pray a covering over this congregation, the staff, young adults, teens and every person who calls Church of Joy their home. We dispatch angels to stand guard around all of the ministry property and vehicles, every home of our members and everything that concerns them. We pray a spirit of peace over every home and a spirit of unity and love to dominate all of our relationships. Holy Spirit, we ask you to open doors of opportunity for us and shut doors that need to be shut. We thank you for calling us to do this great work. We take our place on the wall and we will not come down (Nehemiah 6:3). In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen

Prayer Against The Spirit of Apathy The spirit of apathy causes a lack of interest or concern, especially concerning matters of importance. It also causes dullness of the spirit, blindness of the heart, and leanness of the soul. Apathy is responsible for the abortion of purpose and the undermining of potential.     To be delivered from the spirit of apathy, pray:   Father, in the name of Jesus, I renounce the spirit of apathy and every associated spirit. I repent for yielding to this spirit and I acknowledge it to be wrong. I break agreement with every thought, idea, habit, or mindset that is connected to apathy. I renounce laziness, complacency, indifference, and lack of concern. I join in agreement with the spirit of expedience, joy, and commitment to the will and power of God. I commit myself to stand ready to present my gifts, talents, abilities and resources to God as a living sacrifice according to Romans 12:1. I declare that I have awakened out of sleep and that the priorities of the kingdom have become my priorities. I stand as God’s servant ready to hear, receive and accomplish what He has called and commanded me to do. In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Breaking the Spirit of Mammon Mammon means deceitful riches, money, possessions or whatever is trusted in. Mammon is also linked to avarice, richness, and injustice. Also during the Middle Ages, Mammon was commonly personified as the demon of avarice, richness and injustice. Riches are called by the name of a devil, namely Mammon, for Mammon is the name of a devil, You can be a tither and still disregard justice and the love of God (with your 90%). You have to exceed the righteousness of the Pharisees. You will not enter into the kingdom of God. Matt 5:20 I Tim 6:10 : Love of things. Root of ALL EVIL THINGS! How to recognize when he has set up an altar in your heart? Check for these symptoms: Greed, avarice, valuing money too highly, greedy pursuit, fear of not having it. When someone talks about money: You get uncomfortable, critical, skeptical, and go into unbelief. Is it possible for me to worship the Lord, and to serve other gods? Yes. In II Kings 17:33, “They worship the Lord, YET, the serve their own gods.” Love your God with ALL your heart, soul, mind, ALL YOUR MONEY. Love your neighbor as yourself. Matt 6:37 Then, keep practicing the pure religion with a pure heart: Pure religion means to take care of the orphans and widows. That’s how you will keep yourself spotless from the world. James 1:27 That is how you lay up treasure in heaven for yourself: Matt 6:20

The Elijah Movement Prayer For the Elijah Movement Father God, you have called us forth, a Remnant, with the mandate to call father’s hearts back to their children and the children’s hearts back to the father. According to Malachi 4:5-6- 5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: 6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse”. We will be the voice to the African American people, calling forth men who will be fathers.

Ø We will raise up a new generation of worshippers, a new generation who will praise our God Ø We will awaken this generation with the sound of the drum and with the sounds of revival Ø We will awaken a generation to hear the word of the Lord Ø We will raise up a generation who will seek the Lord and be sensitive to what He wants Ø We will raise up a generation that will seek the power of God and be sensitive to his will for this Nation Ø The up and coming generation will separate, consecrate and dedicate themselves to God

Church of Joy has been raised up with a voice of unity, agreement, strength and the power of all to contend for the future of the African American people. The voice out of this ministry will be a clarion call to the nation to respond to God and to respond to revival. The voice out of this ministry will pierce the compromise, apathy, and complacency of the traditional, religious system.

Thank you that our sound is a sound of war, a sound of unity, a sound of strength, a sound of worship, a sound of praise, and a sound of honor to God. Thank you that as the drums beat it is a calling out to African American men to respond to the spirit of Elijah. Thank you that the sound that is coming out of this ministry is the anthem and the sound for this generation and for this hour. Thank you that men and women will have ears to hear and they will have an urgency to respond.

Prayer For The Elijah Movement continued… By the power of God and the Holy Spirit, we declare that we are the Remnant that God has called forth in this Nation for such a time as this. We hear what God is saying to this generation. We have been revived by the power of God and we walk in the authority of the Holy Spirit. We will present our bodies as a living sacrifice before God which is our reasonable service (Romans 12:1-2). We surrender our lives to God. We put away and reject every mindset that would say that it’s too much. We will love the Lord our God with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our mind, and with all our strength:” (Mark 12:30) Ø We will sacrifice Ø We will give Ø We will honor God Ø We will serve God Ø We will do whatever it takes to raise this national movement We are a changed people, a delivered people, a broken people, a humble people, a strong people, a courageous people, a praising people, a worshipping people. We will demonstrate the power of God to the nation.

Prayer For the Next Generation Father God, we lift up the next generation to you. We pray that you would stir them and call them forth, to pursue you with a great hunger. Reveal yourself to them and let them know your powerful love. We come against the spirit of worldliness that would put the spotlight on the world and make it appear more beautiful and dazzling that it really is. May they be a generation that loves truth and has a righteous indignation for sin and spirits of religion and tradition. Help them to break agreement with all unrighteousness, to not bow the knee at the altars of their fathers and mothers. But give them a thirst and hunger for the things of God. Release prayer warriors into our schools. Release your anointing God over these young people. May they represent Christ in every area of our Region- at their jobs, in politics, in athletics, media- let Supernatural influence to come through our young people. We break the curse of the fatherless generation. Let them receive Pastor Louie as a father to this generation. May they be empowered for this life and the future of this Region, an Army of young people- hungry and armed- to be the dominate influence in this Region. We bind the spirit of pride, insecurity, inferiority, rebellion, displacement, and resistance to the truth and we loose a spirit of humility, identity in Christ, submission, obedience, to the Spirit of truth. Release the boldness of the Holy Spirit. Release boldness to walk in a fierce obedience. Help them to reject the bondage of dead religion and tradition and embrace true freedom and relationship with Christ. This generation will prophecy with precision, teach with accuracy, lead with apostolic authority. Raise up a generation who are addicted to the house of God, to worshipping God, and to giving themselves to the cause of God.

46

Prayer For the Next Generation continued… We bind every spirit that would blind the eyes and dull the hearing of the next generation. We loose clear vision, having ears to hear, and a bold response to the word of the Lord. God break idolatry, rebellion, and rejection and restore a spirit of meekness and truth. We call forth psalmists, musicians, intercessors, missionaries, preachers, authors, marketplace apostles, ministry teams, and financiers to support the vision of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We call them forth, now, in Jesus’ name. Amen

SANCTITY OF LIFE – Black People Against Abortion We thank you God, that you have given us life, for you are life and you gave your son Jesus as a sacrifice for our sins. Proverbs 31: 8-9- Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy. But Father you are not asking for any more sacrifice of humans to be made. The blood of the innocent children is crying out today. So we cry out on behalf of the innocent ones, the 1800 black babies who are aborted every day. We bind the spirit of death/spirit of murder. We break agreement with the spirit of immorality. We declare that: Ø Black Mothers and fathers will rise up and choose not to abort Ø The Black American community values life Ø Godly Morality and Justice- what is right, will reign in our communities Ø We will not sacrifice our children on the altar of demons Ø We will value our children Ø Black mothers are good mothers Ø Black men are good fathers and they care for their families

48

Morality is the application of God’s laws, decrees, and judgments about what is good or evil and is the standard for living that rejects wrong ideas which lead to evil practices and embraces biblical principles that lead to righteousness. Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.   Ephesians 5:8-16 8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 13 But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. 14 This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” 15 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Pray: Father God, we come to you asking for your direction and guidance in our lives, as we seek to conform our lives to your divine standard. Help us to see our lives and the world around us through the lens of your Word. We dedicate and consecrate ourselves to uprightness in our thinking, our talking and our interactions with others. Through this fast, Lord convict us of things we are doing that go contrary to your Word, your Will. We repent of any area of our lives that we have not allowed the Holy Spirit to inspect. We open up our lives to the light of your truth to shine in and expose every dark place. We renounce spirits that would tempt us to compromise, to live in the “gray” and not see things as black or white. For you are the God of all Truth and there is no shadiness or compromise in you. Open our eyes so that we will see things as you see them, according to your Word.

49

Prayer For Morality continued… Lord, we stand in the gap for our nation. We pray that every evil spirit that has infiltrated our government, our schools, entertainment and media, influencing them to promote immorality and reject godliness, be bound in Jesus’ name. By the power of God and the Holy Spirit, we push back the forces of darkness that promote death through abortion. We cry out for mercy and justice for all the unborn children who have been murdered since Roe V. Wade was passed and we pray that you avenge the deaths of 1,800 Black babies that are aborted in America every day.   We push back spirits that promote Same Sex Marriage and the Homosexual Agenda in Washington and every state government through legislation. We plead the blood of Jesus over all upcoming decisions that will influence same-sex marriage, civil unions, and domestic partnerships. Help us be the light to this dark world. Give us a voice to cry out for justice and call other Christians to join us as we contend for righteousness for the family.   Let us, as the Remnant, arise with a burden for righteousness and morality to push back the darkness that is overtaking our nation. We bind spirits of compromise and greed that cause men and women to cheat on their taxes, cheat in their marriages, and indulge in fornication, gambling, lying, and all manner of dishonorable acts that are contrary to the Word of God.   Thank you for empowering me with grace to resist temptation and defiling sin. Thank you for wisdom to walk in holiness, righteousness and morality. Amen

Prayer For the Bible College NEED TO DRAFT THIS PRAYER We bind every spirit that would blind the eyes and dull the hearing of the next generation. We loose clear vision, we loose hearing ears and a bold response to the Word of the Lord. Rebellion, idolatry, and rejection are being broken off and are displaced by the spirit of meekness and truth.   We call forth psalmists, musicians, intercessors, missionaries, preachers, authors, market place apostles, ministry teams, and financiers to support the vision of the gospel of Jesus Christ.   As Pastor stands in apostolic authority to call forth this next generation of young African Americans and commands them to rise up out of the ashes of dead religion and shake off the chains of generational curses- we plead the blood of Jesus over Pastor and pray a hedge of protection over his life, his health, his possessions, his family, his mind. We declare that there is supernatural protection by the blood of Jesus that will cover him and keep him. We bind every attack against Church of Joy, Sidewalk Sunday School and every member of the ministry.   We pray for Mr. Jordan and the creative team that puts each broadcast together. We pray that the Holy Spirit will flow through them, give them discernment, insight and wisdom to know how to deliver the message of the broadcast to impact the lives of those who are watching.   We declare that this broadcast spans throughout the region, the nation and the world as a call to awaken and a call to revival!

Prayer For Turning the Hearts of Fathers to Children and the Hearts of Children to their Fathers Father, in the name of Jesus, we pray and confess Your Word over our children and surround them with our faith — faith in Your Word that You watch over it to perform it! We declare that our children will love the Lord their God with all their heart, all their strength and all their might. We declare that our children will make a covenant to commit themselves to Christ and will pour out their lives in service to Him. We confess and believe that our children are disciples of Christ, taught of the Lord and obedient to Your will. Great is the peace and undisturbed composure of our children, because You, God, contend with that which contends with our children, and You give them safety and ease them. Father, You will perfect that which concerns us. We commit and cast the care of our children once and for all over on You, Father. They are in Your hands, and we are positively persuaded that You are able to guard and keep that which we have committed to You. You are more than enough! We confess that our children obey their parents in the Lord as His representatives, because this is just and right. Our children _(names)____ honor, esteem and value as precious their parents; for this is the first commandment with a promise: that all may be well with our children and that they may live long on earth. We believe and confess that our children choose life and love You, Lord, obey Your voice and cling to You; for You are their Life and the Length of their days. Therefore, our children are the head and not the tail, and shall be above only and not beneath. They are blessed when they come in and when they go out. We believe and confess that Your angels take charge over our children to accompany and defend and preserve them in all their

ways. You, Lord, are their Refuge and Fortress. You are their Glory

Prayer For Turning the Hearts of Fathers to Children and the Hearts of Children to their Fathers continued… and the Lifter of their heads. As parents, we will not provoke, irritate or fret our children. We will not be hard on them or harass them or cause them to become discouraged, sullen or morose or to feel inferior and frustrated. We will not break or wound their spirits, but we will rear them tenderly in the training, discipline, counsel and admonition of the Lord. We will train them in the way they should go, and when they are old they will not depart from it. We thank you that our children are a holy, righteous, set apart generation that will rise up to accomplish the will of God and who will be a prepared bride that serves with passion and devotion in preparation for the return of Christ. We declare that our hearts are turned toward our children in the Spirit of Elijah and their hearts will be turned toward their natural father, their spiritual father, and their heavenly Father. Prayers For Family/Home Protection over you and your household Exodus 15:26 (New International Version) 26 He said, "If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you.“ “Fear not.” It is not God’s will that we live in anxiety or fear, ever. Then You will cover me with Your feathers, and under Your wings shall I trust and find refuge.

55

Protection over you and your household (cont.) I shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday. I shall tread upon the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent shall I trample underfoot. Prayer for Our Children Plead the blood of Jesus over the sons and daughters of this ministry. Bind the spirit of fatherlessness and the oppression of anger, pride, rage, bitterness, abandonment and hopelessness. Expose and confuse every plan of the enemy to draw our boys and girls into lives of perversion, deception, sin, compromise, lewdness, gangs, homosexuality, and violence. Cut off and destroy every demonic assignment that has been launched against our children. Loose the spirit of fathering over the boys Boys will be submitted in this ministry and they would be spiritual sons in this house. Girls will be daughters. Loose healing, restoration, deliverance and protection over the children Bind every lying spirit that would make the streets more appealing than the house of God. Loose over the children a hunger to know God and to worship Him only. Our children will not fill the jails but they would rise up as a mighty army of God’s young men and women Young men and women will preach, pray, prophesy and be used to set their generation free There are future pastors, prophets, leaders, business owners, teachers, and fathers that will fulfill their God ordained purpose.

Please enjoy this selection from the Prayers That Avail Much family book series by Germaine Copeland. Parent’s Prayer of Blessing for Children Introduction “The [Hebrew] father’s place in the [traditional Jewish] home is fittingly shown by the beautiful custom of blessing the children, a custom which dates back to Isaac and Jacob. To this day, in many homes, the father blesses his children on Friday nights, on Rosh Hashanah eve and on Yom Kippur before leaving for the synagogue.... “In very ancient times, the father or patriarch was the ruler of home and family. He made laws and enforced them. Later, however, laws were instituted by teachers, parents, judges and kings. The father, as the master of the house, was looked up to for support and depended on for guidance.”2 The following prayer, based on a translation of the traditional Hebrew father’s blessing upon his children, may be used by the head of the household, whether male or female. Prayer Father, I receive, welcome and acknowledge each of my children as a delightful blessing from You. I speak Your blessings upon them and over them. 2 Ben M. Edidin, Jewish Customs and Ceremonies (New York: Hebrew Publishing Company, 1941), p. 23. Children, I bless you in the name of Jesus, proclaiming the blessings of God, my Redeemer, upon you. May He give you wisdom, a reverential fear of God and a heart of love. May He create in you the desire to attend to His words, a willing and obedient heart that you may consent and submit to His sayings and walk in His ways. May your eyes look straight ahead with purpose for the future. May your tongue be as the pen of a ready writer, writing mercy and kindness upon the tablets of your heart. May you speak the truth in love. May your hands do the works of the Father; may your feet walk the paths which He has foreordained for you.

May your source of livelihood be honorable and secure, so that you will earn a living with your own hands. May you always worship God in spirit and in truth. I pray above all things that you may always prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers. ...I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome (Jer. 29:11 amp). PRAYER FOR TEENAGERS TO PRAY Heavenly Father, I know Lord Jesus that You are My Lord and my King, and You intercede for me. You are a loving and forgiving God and I ask You Lord to forgive me for all my sins and any un-forgiveness that I may have in my heart. I ask You Lord to forgive me for not always making You a priority in my life.   I know You are strong and I need Your help right now. I am being tempted to do things that are not good for me. Give me strength to say no to these pressures. Help me to find good and Godly things to keep me busy in place of the things that my friends want me to do. You are my strength, Lord. I know, Lord, that You understand all the temptations that face teenagers today and what it will take to keep me from being lured in the wrong direction.   So, Lord, I trust in You to know my heart and keep me from these worldly traps. Help me Lord to receive fully, with understanding, Your Word in James 1:3-4, so that when my faith is tested, my endurance has a chance to grow. I know that You will guide me along the right pathway for my life and that You will advise me and watch over me. I know Lord that You are my counselor and that I should always depend on You. I am in need of Your guidance. I don’t know what to do (Psalm 32:8). Help me to do what You want done in all situations that I, as a teenager must face.   Please Lord, put godly people in my path to show me the steps I need to take. I know Lord that there are friends who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24). I ask You, Lord to help me find the kind of Christian friends that will be closer than a brother. Help me Lord to be the kind of friend to others that I would want for myself. Open my eyes to see the good qualities in people around me. There are so many questions that I need to ask and I am torn between finding the truth, and having a good time and keeping my friends. I want to do the right thing instead of wearing a mask and being a phony just to be popular.

Prayer For Our Adult Children Please enjoy this selection from the Prayers That Avail Much family book series by Germaine Copeland. Prayer for Adult Children Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before the Throne of Grace bringing our adult children who have rebelled against you. First of all, we ask you to forgive us for the times we have prayed for our children with selfish motives, and hindered your answers to prayer. Forgive us for our self-righteous attitude. It wasn’t too long ago that we were mired in that old stagnant life of sin...but you embraced us with immense mercy and with your incredible love. O, LORD, remember your covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. According to your covenant your Spirit is upon us, and your words which you have put in our mouth, shall not depart from our mouth, nor the mouth of our descendants nor from the mouth of our descendants’ descendants from this time forth and forevermore. We put on your full armor and having done all to stand, we stand on behalf of our families. Fearlessly we enforce the triumphant victory of our Lord Jesus Christ against Satan and his strategies for destruction. We commit to build up the wall and stand in the gap before you asking that your mercy triumphant over judgment. Lord you are great and awesome; we fight for our brethren, our sons, our daughters, our spouses and our houses. On the authority of your promise we declare that you will contend with him who contends with us, and you will give safety to our children, save them and ease them day by day…. You are our LORD, our Savior, our Redeemer, and the Mighty One of Jacob. We proclaim that our children are a heritage and a reward from you. We ask you, Father, draw them to repentance with your goodness, and give them as an inheritance to the Lord Jesus Christ. He shed his blood for them that they might be saved, and your arm is not shortened that you cannot save. Holy Spirit, we ask you to convince and convict them of sin, righteousness and judgment.

Prayers for Divine Health & Healing Prayers and Scriptures

Please enjoy this selection from the Prayers That Avail Much family book series by Germaine Copeland. Health and Healing Father, in the name of Jesus, I come before You asking You to heal me. It is written that the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if I have committed sins, I will be forgiven. I let go of all unforgiveness, resentment, anger and bad feelings toward anyone. My body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and I desire to be in good health. I seek truth that will make me free – both spiritual and natural (good eating habits, medications if necessary, and appropriate rest and exercise). You bought me at a price, and I desire to glorify you in my spirit and my body – they both belong to you. Thank you, Father, for sending Your Word to heal me and deliver me from all my destructions. Jesus, You are the Word who became flesh and dwelt among us. You bore my griefs (pains) and carried my sorrows (sickness). You were pierced through for my transgressions, crushed for my iniquities, the chastening for my well-being fell upon You, and by your scourging I am healed. Father, I give attention to Your words, and incline my ear to your sayings. I will not let them depart from my sight, but keep them in the midst of my heart. For they are my life and health to my whole body. Since the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in me, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to my mortal body through His Spirit who dwells in me. Thank You that I will prosper and be in health even as my soul prospers. Amen.

Prayers for Health of all staff and congregation IN THE NAME OF JESUS, we pray for the staff and congregation. We lift up their physical health and strength to you Father. Infuse them with your healing power and supernatural strength, to overcome every sickness and disease. We plead the blood of Jesus over them, protecting them from all the fiery darts of the wicked one that would try to weaken them or make them ineffective in ministry. (Is. 53:4-5, Ps. 107:20, Mt.11:28, Prov. 17:22, Rom. 8:11) IN THE NAME OF JESUS, we pray a hedge of protection around the staff and congregation, so that the evil one touches them not. May the power and anointing of God to heal and provide good health flow through their bodies, from the top of their head to the souls of their feet. (Gal. 3:13, 1Pet.5:7, Ps.73:26, Ps.27:14, Phil.4:6-8) IN THE NAME OF JESUS, we bind spirits of infirmity, sickness, disease and pain. Leave their bodies now, and be removed to a dry, uninhabited place, never to torment anyone else again. And we speak healing, wholeness and peace to their bodies now, by the power of God. Flow to them and overtake them. We thank you and forever praise your holy name, Jesus. (Is. 41:10, Lk 1:37, Jer.33:6b, 2 Tim.4:18, Mk.9:25)   IN THE NAME OF JESUS, we pray that we all draw near to Christ and seek holiness and His presence with more prayer, fasting and consecration (Acts 1:14; 1 Thess. 5:17; Jas. 4:7-8).   IN THE NAME OF JESUS, we pray that God protects our Church, Leadership and Pastoral Staff from sin and misdirection and they have the wiliness and boldness to flee and confront sin (Prov. 19:23; 1 Pet. 1:16).   IN JESUS’ NAME, we pray that the Spirit of Unity infuses our church so that our congregation is binding to Christ in love so the work of the Kingdom is promoted (2 Chron. 30:12; Psalm 133:1; Rom. 15:5). Amen

Prayer For Divine Health I take authority over every spirit of mental infirmity, spirits of depression, schizophrenia, delusions, and immature personality in the name of Jesus. I am healthy from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet. I will live a full life according to the Word of the Lord. I bind spirits that cause internal organ destruction, attack internal body organs (such as the heart, liver and kidneys), and decrease or destroy my normal organ functions, in the name of Jesus. I bind and destroy every disease state placed in my past ancestry and genetically transferred to me from the womb. I decree and declare that the Great Physician will have the final say in the state of my health, and I will believe only His report. I confess that I am redeemed from the curse of the law, which included sickness and disease, and I confess that I live under the new covenant, which promises prosperity and good health in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus, I cancel the effects of the spirit of self-destructive diseases, which include diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and AIDS. I bind every destructive spirit that would cause malfunctioning of my digestive system, genital/urinary tract (such as prostrate, uterus, ovaries, bladder), or colon. I renounce the spirit of fear that causes worry, stress, and anxiety. It is a contributing factor in many chronic diseases and has no place in my life. Teach me to believe You for my healing. Lord, I believe that You created medicines and You bless the hands of doctors, but you are the healer, the deliverer and the keeper of life. Amen.

Prayer for The Spirit of Infirmity Acts 10:38 -   how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.

In the name of Jesus, we command this spirit of infirmity to leave these people now, and to go to the place Jesus sends you.  Spirit of infirmity, you must leave them now, and never return again. Amen. We apply the blood of Jesus Christ in the authority of Jesus Christ, the anointed one, against every demonic spirit sent to attack these people with afflictions and infirmities. We apply the stripes of Jesus against infirmities of arthritis, fatigue, anxiety, pain, stiffness, restlessness, worry, doubt, blood disorders, infections, digestive problems, headaches, irregular heartbeat, joint pain, bloating, and insomnia. Body, be healed in the name of Jesus, who is the Lord God that heals you. Jehovah Rapha is his name. In the authority of the name of Jesus, we apply the healing power of God to your bodies, to heal and repair everything in your body that has been afflicted. Let the healing power of God flow into your body right now and receive the healing and correction to your body. Psalms 34:19- Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. We declare that you have divine health from the top of your head to the soles of your feet and we refuse to accept so much as a cold in our bodies. Every germ, bacteria and virus of sickness must die right now in the name of Jesus. Restoration- we claim restoration of health. Rise up from your beds of affliction and be healed, be whole, be strengthened and renewed. God’s healing oil flows over you now, from the top of your head to the soles of your feet. (Psalms 41:3) Receive it now, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Prayer and Confession for Healing Father, in the Name of Jesus, I confess Your Word concerning health and healing. As I do, I believe that Your Word will not return to You void, but it will accomplish what it says. In the Name of Jesus, I believe that I am healed according to 1 Peter 2:24. Your Word says that Jesus Himself took my infirmities and bore my sicknesses (Matthew 8:17). Therefore, with great boldness and confidence, I stand on the authority of Your Word and declare that I am redeemed from the curse of sickness. I refuse to tolerate its symptoms. (Exodus 23:25-You shall serve the Lord your God; He shall bless your bread and water, and I will take sickness from your midst.) Satan, I speak to you in Jesus' Name and I proclaim that your principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual wickedness in heavenly places are bound from operating against me in any way. I am loosed from your assignment. I am the property of Almighty God and I give you no place in me. I dwell in the secret place of the Most High God and I abide under the shadow of the Almighty, whose power no foe can withstand. Now, Father, I believe Your Word says that the angel of the Lord encamps round about me and delivers me from every evil work. No evil shall befall me, no plague or calamity shall come near my dwelling. (Exodus 15:26- Saying, If you will diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord your God and will do what is right in His sight, and will listen to and obey His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases upon you which I brought upon the Egyptians, for I am the Lord Who heals you.) I confess that the Word abides in me and it is life and medicine to my flesh. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus operates in me, making me free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:2- For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.) Isaiah 53:5-But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole. I hold fast to my confession of Your Word and I stand immovable, knowing that health and healing are mine now, in Jesus' Name. Healing Scriptures Isaiah 55:8-13 (New King James Version) 8 “ For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. 9 “ For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. 10 “ For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there,  but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, 11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. 12 “ For you shall go out with joy, and be led out with peace; the mountains and the hills shall break forth into singing before you, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. 13 Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree; and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.”

Prayers for healing of Cancers I  declare  today  that  death  and  life  are  in  the  power  of  our  tongue  and  we  use  our  tongue  to  produce  the  life  of  God  in  our  bodies.  (Proverbs  18:21)    “A  man’s  stomach  shall  be  saNsfied  from  the  fruit  of  his  mouth,  From  the  produce  of  his  lips  he  shall  be  filled.”  Proverbs  18:20    According  to  Romans  8:11,  the  same  Spirit  that  raised  Jesus  from  the  dead  lives  in  you  and  gives  life  to  your  mortal  body!    Jesus  Himself  was  pierced  for  your  transgressions,  crushed  for  your  iniquiNes,  the  chastening  for  your  well  being  fell  upon  Him  and  with  His  stripes  you  are  healed!  (Isaiah  53:5)    And  according  to  Proverbs  26:2,  a  curse  without  cause  cannot  alight.    There  is  no  cause  for  a  curse  to  light  in  your  life,  since  Christ  redeemed  you  and  became  a  curse  for  you;  therefore  you  have  divine  healing  and  divine  health  in  your  body.    The  Lord  has  sent  His  word  and  healed  you  and  delivered  you  from  destrucNon  (Psalm  107:20)    You  are  free  from  every  sickness,  disease  and  calamity  that  would  try  to  affect  your  body  and  your  health.    Bless  the  Lord  with  all  that  is  in  you  and  forget  none  of  His  benefits.    He  pardons  all  your  iniquiNes  and  heals  all  your  diseases  (Psalm  103:1-‐3)  In  fact,  they  are  not  your  diseases  any  more!    You  am  healed  by  the  stripes  of  Jesus  (Isaiah  53:5)    Do  not  take  into  your  body  a  deadly  or  debilitaNng  disease.    For  no  evil  can  come  near  your  dwelling  place,  nor  can  any  plague  come  near  your  tent.  (Psalm  91:10)  Now  we  speak  to  terminal  illness  and  cancer  and  we  command  you  to  leave  these  people  now,  in  the  name  of  Jesus.    You  have  been  rendered  powerless  by  the  blood  of  Jesus  and  you  no  longer  have  the  power  of  death  over  them.    Spirit  of  death,  loose  your  hold  and  leave  now,  in  Jesus’  name.    We  speak  long  life  and  health  and  wholeness  over  them,  according  to  the  Word  of  God.    They  shall  live  and  not  die  and  declare  the  works  of  the  Lord.    In  Jesus’  name,  amen.

Prayers for Autism "Dear Father, forgive me and my nation for our sins. We have failed to look to You for help with this disorder called autism. Forgive us. I pray that You will lead us to find a cure for autism. Lord, You made us, You know each cell of our body, You know where autism originates, You know what goes wrong in people with autism, You know what will cure this disorder. Lord I pray for a miraculous cure for all children with autism. Please give families strength to deal with autism. Give them wisdom and help them find people who will truly help them and not take advantage of them. Lord, I pray also that You would lead researchers to find a cure for autism. Help the researchers to be humble, to seek You, to understand the connections between the physical, biological, chemical, and immunological findings in autism research. Open their eyes to find new connections and help parents to share their own discoveries and findings. Let there be a new cooperation among the researchers that will lead to a true cure for all autism. I give You the glory for this cure. Thank You, Lord, for hearing my prayer. Thank You, Lord, for having mercy on the thousands of children with autism. I pray this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, my Savior. Amen." ~GJH~

Personal Deliverance and Victorious Living Prayer for Self- Deliverance Christians can and should minister deliverance to themselves. Every believer has authority over evil spirits, including ones in his or her own life. Jesus tells us to cast the beam out of our own eye. The phrase “cast out” in Luke 6:42 is exballo which means to drive out or expel. It is the same Greek word used in reference to casting out devils (Mark 16:17). What to expect in receiving Deliverance While many deliverances involve obvious physical manifestations, not all react in this manner. Some spirits leave quietly and nonviolently. You may not have a strong physical reaction when receiving deliverance, therefore, don’t be disappointed if you don’t receive in this manner. What you should expect is a release. You know there is a release when… • Oppressive force disappears; • Heaviness lifts; • Uneasiness goes away; • Burden or load lightens; • There is an inner sense of liberty, freedom, and divine satisfaction or contentment; • The joy of the Lord comes and you are able to rejoice.

The result of deliverance is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17. When devils are cast out, the Kingdom of God has come (Matthew 12:28). Lord, I come to you, confessing my sin and weakness to you. I ask forgiveness of anyone that I have offended and I forgive anyone who has offended me or mistreated me in any way. My heart is clear of all hurt, bitterness and offense. I submit my will to your will and I open my heart to the healing power of the Holy Spirit. By the power of God and the Holy Spirit, I break the power of Satan

Prayer for Self- Deliverance continued… • I break all generational curses of pride, rebellion, lust, poverty, witchcraft, idolatry, death, destruction, failure, sickness, infirmity, fear, schizophrenia, and rejection in the name of Jesus. • I command all generational and hereditary spirits operating in my life through curses to be bound and cast out in the name of Jesus. • I command all spirits of lust, perversion, adultery, fornication, uncleanness, and immorality to come out and leave me now, in the name of Jesus. • I command all spirits of hurt, rejection, fear, anger, wrath, sadness, depression, discouragement, grief, bitterness, and unforgiveness to come out of my emotions in the name of Jesus. • I command all spirits of confusion, forgetfulness, mind control, mental illness, double-mindedness, fantasy, pain, pride, and memory recall to come out of my mind in the name of Jesus. • I break all curses of schizophrenia and command all spirits of double-mindedness, rejection, rebellion, and root of bitterness to come out in the name of Jesus. • I command all spirits of guilt, shame, and condemnation to come out of my conscience in the name of Jesus. • I command all spirits of pride, stubbornness, disobedience, rebellion, self-will, selfishness, and arrogance to come out of my will in the name of Jesus. • I command all spirits of addiction to come out of my appetite in the name of Jesus. • I command all spirits of witchcraft, sorcery, divination, and occult to come out in the name of Jesus. • I command all religious spirits of doubt, unbelief, error, heresy, and tradition that came in through religion to come out in the name of Jesus. • I command all spirits from my past that are hindering my present and future to come out in the name of Jesus. • I command all ancestral spirits that entered through my ancestors to come out in the name of Jesus. • I command all hidden spirits hiding in any part of my life to come out in the name of Jesus.

Repentance Precedes Deliverance The pulling down of strongholds begins with repentance. Note the sequence of recovery: they called men to repent, then they delivered them of demons, then consecrated them with oil and healed them. Repentance precedes deliverance, and deliverance often leads to healing in other areas. Without some measure of repentance, deliverance is almost impossible, for although a spirit may be commanded to leave, if the structure of the individual’s thoughts has not been changed, his wrong attitude toward sin will welcome that spirit back. Let us realize, therefore, that the energies we expend in keeping our sins secret are the actual “materials” of which a stronghold is made. The demon you are fighting is actually using your thoughts to protect his access to your life. Let’s pray: Heavenly Father, there are many areas in my life (audibly name the habitual sins) that I have not fully surrendered to my Lord, Jesus Christ. Lord, forgive me of compromise. I also ask You for courage to approach the pulling down of strongholds without reluctance or willful deception in my heart. By the power of the Holy Spirit and in the name of Jesus, I bind the satanic influences that were reinforcing compromise and sin within me. I submit myself to the light of the Spirit of Truth to expose the strongholds of sin within me. By the mighty weapons of the Spirit and the Word, I proclaim that each stronghold in my life is coming down! I purpose, by the grace of God, to have only one stronghold within me: the stronghold of the presence of Christ! I thank You, Lord, for forgiving and cleansing me from all my sins. And by the grace of God, I commit myself to follow through in this area until even the ruins of this stronghold are removed from my mind! Thank you, Father. In Jesus’ name. Amen. How to Keep Your Deliverance Healing is available through the blood of Jesus, only believe. Malachi 3:6- For I am the Lord, I do not change; that is why you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed. Hebrews 13:8- Jesus Christ (the Messiah) is [always] the same, yesterday, today, [yes] and forever (to the ages).

God is Jehovah-shammah- the Lord ever present, Jehovah- jireh- the Lord our provider, Jehovah- nissi- the Lord our banner, Jehovah-shalom- the Lord our peace, Jehovah- raah- the Lord my shepherd, Jehovah-tsidkenu- the Lord our righteousness, Jehovah- rapha- the Lord that healeth. Maintenance Steps 1. Fight thoughts of doubt with positive confessions. You are healed, no matter what the symptoms say. Stand on the Word of God until the full effect of God’s healing power is manifested. Sometimes healing is a process. • The devil will whisper words of doubt- “you’re not healed- see how you feel?” The devil will always speak contrary to what God is doing or saying. Cast them down. “…casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” 2 Cor. 10:4-5. Satan will come with lies and thoughts of doubt. Jesus is not going to tell you that you are not healed, delivered or free. Recognize that and reject those negative thoughts and feelings. Renew your mind to the truth of God’s Word. • You must speak God’s Word to the devil- “Devil, I rebuke you. I bind you from my mind. I will not believe your lies. God sent His Word to heal me, and His Word never fails”. • Keep the Word in your mind, speak it, hear it. Focus on what God’s Word says about your deliverance. Renew your mind to the things of God, His way, His will. See yourself free, healed, whole complete. 2. Stand- Ephesians 6:12-14- “12For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who

92

How to Keep Your Deliverance continued.. are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere. 13Therefore put on God's complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place]. 14Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God,” 3.Don’t waiver- James 1:6-8- “Only it must be in faith that he asks with no wavering (no hesitating, no doubting). For the one who wavers (hesitates, doubts) is like the billowing surge out at sea that is blown hither and thither and tossed by the wind.   7For truly, let not such a person imagine that he will receive anything [he asks for] from the Lord, 8[For being as he is] a man of two minds (hesitating, dubious, irresolute), [he is] unstable and unreliable and uncertain about everything [he thinks, feels, decides]. 4. Don’t worry- Mark 4:19- 19Then the cares and anxieties of the world and distractions of the age, and the pleasure and delight and false glamour and deceitfulness of riches, and the craving and passionate desire for other things creep in and choke and suffocate the Word, and it becomes fruitless. 5. Trust God- I Peter 5:7- “7Casting the [a]whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, [b]once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you [c]watchfully.” • Hebrews 10:23, 35-36- 23So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the [a]hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word. 35Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward. 36For you have need of steadfast patience and endurance, so that you may perform and fully accomplish the will of God, and thus receive and [a]carry away [and enjoy to the full] what is promised.

93

How to Keep Your Deliverance continued.. 6. Take the Word of God faithfully like medicine, to keep your healing. “To be spoken by mouth 3 times a day until faith comes, then once a day to maintain health. If circumstances grow worse, double the dosage. There are no harmful effects.”- Charles Capps 7. You must have a lifestyle change. Stop doing the things you were doing before you got healed or delivered that kept you bound or in poor health. Now, you must do things according to God’s Word so that you can remain free. Don’t continue to kill yourself by what you eat and lack of exercise. Stop willfully sinning. Clean up your house- get rid of things that are ungodly and replace them with Godly things, i.e. music, tv, dvds, magazines, friends, etc. Walk in the freedom that you have not received through the healing power of God. What actually happened to you? This was a demonstration of the power of God. As in the book of Acts, the Holy Spirit was able to move through the disciples and people of faith to increase the kingdom of God, adding souls, baptizing, healing and delivering the people who were oppressed of the devil. God’s power is the same today as it was then. God desires to set people free today just as he did then. The laying on of hands- Acts 8:18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, 1 Timothy 4:14Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery. Hebrews 6:2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. Fear experienced- this is the awe and reference of God, for his mighty power filled the place. God responds and shows up when great faith and unity are expressed by his people. We are God’s people. We honor God for who He is. He is God and we are not.

94

How to Keep Your Deliverance continued.. Acts 2:43- And a sense of awe (reverential fear) came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were performed through the apostles (the special messengers). God wants you healed- He has done it and God’s Word confirms it- Psalms 103:3- Who forgives [every one of] all your iniquities, Who heals [each one of] all your diseases, Matthew 9:35- And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom and curing all kinds of disease and every weakness and infirmity. I Peter 2:24- He personally bore our sins in His [own] body on the tree [g][as on an altar and offered Himself on it], that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you have been healed.(Amph) Acts 10:38- 38How God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the [Holy] Spirit and with strength and ability and power; how He went about doing good and, [a]in particular, curing all who were harassed and oppressed by [the power of] the devil, for God was with Him.

Prayers That Heal the Broken Heart The  Lord  is  close  to  the  brokenhearted  and  saves  those  who  are  crushed  in  spirit  (Psalm  34:18).    God, you care deeply for broken-hearted people.  This is a promise you make: You are close.  We pray for all those who are crippled by broken relationships.  God, heal broken hearts.  We cannot fix our own wounds.  But you can.  If pieces of our heart have been lost, or are held captive by another, recover them and bring them back to us and miraculously “put us back together” so that our heart is whole again.  You are a mender of broken hearts.  We ask for this miracle, in the name of Jesus.” Jesus, I come into your presence now, and I ask you to surround me. I come under your authority and your claim upon my life. I give myself to you—body, soul, and spirit. I give my heart to you, in every way—including the broken places in me. Jesus, I invite you into this broken place within me (this wound, this memory). I give you total access to my heart. Come, Lord, shine your light here. Reveal to me all that is going on here. What is this about, Jesus? Come and show me, meet me here, in this place. Jesus, come and lead me in healing this brokenness in my heart. Speak to me here, Lord. What are you saying to me? Give me ears to hear and eyes to see what you are revealing. Let no other voice speak but you, my Lord Jesus, and you alone. Cleanse my heart of every sin by your shed blood. I now break every agreement I have made with Satan and his lies. (What have you believed, bought into?) I renounce any claim I have given to my Enemy, and in the name of Jesus, I command him to flee. Jesus, come now and do as you promised to do—heal my broken heart and set me free. (Listen here for what Jesus is saying. I welcome your healing, and I welcome this part of my heart home. Come, bind me up and make me whole. In Jesus name, amen.

Letting Go of Bitterness Father, life seems so unjust, so unfair. The pain of rejection is almost more than I can bear. My past relationships have ended in strife, anger, rejection, and separation. Lord, help me to let go of all bitterness and indignation and wrath (passion, rage, bad temper) and resentment (anger, animosity). You are the One Who binds up and heals the broken-hearted. I receive Your anointing that destroys every yoke of bondage. I receive emotional healing by faith, and I thank You for giving me the grace to stand firm until the process is complete. Thank You for wise counselors. I acknowledge the Holy Spirit as my wonderful Counselor. Thank You for helping me work out my salvation with fear and trembling, for it is You, Father, Who works in me to will and to act according to Your good purpose. In the name of Jesus, I choose to forgive those who have wronged me. I purpose to live a life of forgiveness because You have forgiven me. With the help of the Holy Spirit, I get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, brawling, and slander, along with every form of malice. I desire to be kind and compassionate to others, forgiving them, just as in Christ You forgave me. With the help of the Holy Spirit, I make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy, for I know that without holiness no one will see You, Lord. I purpose to see to it that I do not miss Your grace and that no bitter root grows up within me to cause trouble. I will watch and pray that I enter not into temptation or cause others to stumble. Thank You, Father, that You watch over Your Word to perform it and that whom the Son has set free is free indeed. I declare that I have overcome resentment and bitterness by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of my testimony. In Jesus’ name, amen. ©2006 Germaine Copeland and Word Ministries, Inc.

Personal Warfare Prayer

I put a halt to all distractive, disturbing, and destructive measures. For this reason was the Son of God made manifest, that He would destroy the works of the enemy (John 2:15-17; Acts 16:16-19; 1John 3:8) I disapprove, nullify, dismantle, cancel, and forcefully oppose any satanic operations, maneuvers, manipulations, subversions, strategies, tactics, plots, plans, and ploys that are designed to hinder, prevent, frustrate, foil, deny or delay God’s original plans and purposes from their quick, swift, and speedy manifestation, particularly in their correct time and season (Dan. 7:25). Father, overthrow the plans of troublemakers, scorners, scoffers, mockers, persecutors, and character assassins. Expose satanic representatives and grant unto me divine strategies and tactics to identify, resist, and overcome plots and plans established for my demise (Esth. 9:25, Ps. 5:10; 7:14-16; 34:21; 35:1-8; 52:5; 83:13-17, 141:10; Prov 26:27; 28:10; Dan 3, 6; Matt. 7:15-23; 2 Cor. 11: 14-15); Draw out Your spear and stop them in their way. Let them be confounded and put to shame. Let them fall by their own counsels. Let them be turned back and brought to confusion. Let them be as chaff driven by the wind. Let the angel of the Lord persecute them. Let their way be through dark and slippery places, with the angel of the Lord pursuing and afflicting them. Let them be put to shame and dishonor who seek and require my life Let them be turned back and confounded who plan my hurt Let destruction come to them suddenly. Let them fall to their own destruction Let destruction come upon them unaware. Let them stumble and fall into the very destruction they have contrived for me. Let them be wounded and destroyed by the very weapons they have devised for me. Let them be caught in the same net that they set for me. Let them fall in the very pit that they dug for me.

Personal Warfare Prayer continued…

Let them be hung by the very noose they constructed for me. Let them be consumed by the very beasts they have prepared for me. Strike them down in the very act of their mischief. Let their mischief be returned to them twofold. Pluck them out of their dwelling place. I overrule and overthrow, according to Isaiah 54:17, ill-spoken words, ill wishes, enchantments, divinations, spells, hexes, curses, witchcraft prayers, and every idle word spoken contrary to God’s original plans and purposes. I reverse the curse associated with these utterances and decree and declare that they shall not stand, they shall not come to pass, they shall not take root, and their violent verbal dealings are returned to them twofold. I declare that every lying tongue is wrong and that truth prevails. Put a hook in their nostrils, bridle their lips, and hide me from the scourge of their tongues (Job 5:21; Ps. 5:6-10; Isa. 37:29) I come against falsehoods, slander, speculation, accusation, misrepresentation, and character assassination. Father, cause the heavens to bow down with divine judgment; cast forth lightening to scatter them; shoot out your Arrows to destroy them; send Your hand from above to rid me of them. I will lose no ground or territory through their undermining efforts or initiatives (1Kings 21:1-16; Ps. 144:5-7) I prohibit the accuser of the brethren from operating or influencing the soul or mind of anyone who comes into contact with me (Rev. 12:10) I reverse the effect of any stigmas and declare that divine favor, grace, honor, and well wishes now replace any and all negative feelings, perceptions, and thoughts concerning myself, my family, and the work/ministry that I am called to accomplish.

Personal Warfare Prayer continued…

Arrest those who operate in the spirit of Jezebel or Belial. Let them not resist the anointing, usurp authority, or gain any ground in the natural or in the realm of the spirit (1San. 107; 1Kings 19:1-5; 21:1-16) Now Father, You have given me a great work to accomplish. I war for the releasing of finances and all resources that belong to me. Everything prepared for me before the foundation of the world, that pertains to my life (ministry, calling) and godliness comes to me now. I shall not/will not be denied. I shall not/will not accept substitutes. I call in resources from the north, south, east, and west. I decree and declare that every resource necessary for me to fulfill God’s original plans and purposes comes to me without delay now (1Pet. 1:3) In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen

Spirit of Fear – Prayer and Confession Fear is a very real spirit. Don’t allow it to hinder you. It is the greatest deception the devil uses against us. When the devil tries to hinder you with fear, be wise to it. Don’t allow him to convince you of fear. Cast down those imaginations and take those thoughts into captivity. (2 Corinthians 10:5-6- (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;) Father, Your word says let not my heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid, Father, I come to You because I need to cast my worries, my fears, and cares upon You.  Your word said that I could because You careth for me.  So Father, I cast all my cares, all my worries, all my anxieties, all my problems, all my doubts, all my fears, and all  of my needs concerning this problem upon You.   I praise You for being with me as I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, causing me to fear no evil, for I know that You are with me. Your rod and thy staff comfort me; Your Goodness and Mercy follow me, protecting me from all manner of evil.  You have prepared a table before me in the presence of our enemies.  Therefore I will not fear what man may do to me. Father You are my light and my salvation; I will not fear.   You are the strength of my life, I will not be afraid.  When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes come upon me to eat up my flesh, they will stumble and fall.  Though a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear.  Father, the name of Jesus, takes authority over every principality, every demonic spirit, and every spiritual wickedness in high places. The name of Jesus has bound the spirit of fear and cast it out of my life.  Satan, You have no power over my life, or anything that pertains to me because the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth cover me.  Therefore in the name of Jesus, You are rendered helpless, powerless, and ineffective against my life.

103

Spirit of Fear – Prayer and Confession continued… You might be shaking in your boots, you might stumble over your words, your mouth might be dry as cotton or you might cry. But if you step out in faith, and in obedience to what God has told you to do, you will be victorious the way He says you will. When you act in love, fear cannot remain. (1 John 4:18- There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.) Father I sought You and You heard me. You delivered me from all my fears. Therefore I will not be afraid of the terror by night; nor the arrow that flieth by day. For You are my refuge and my fortress and in my time of trouble You hid me in the secret of Your tabernacle.   You are my God and in You will I trust. You delivered me from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. You covered me with Your feathers and under Your wings I took refuge. Your truth has become my shield and my buckler. When the enemy comes in like a flood the name of Jesus will raise a standard against him.  A thousand may fall at my side and ten thousand at my right hand, but none of this shall come near me, for THE NAME OF JESUS WILL DESTROY THEM.   I thank You Lord for not allowing me to receive the spirit of bondage again to fear; and for blessing me to receive the Spirit of adoption.  Father I pray that You will dwell in my heart by faith; that You will keep me rooted and grounded in Your love.  For Father in Your love there is no fear; because Your love is perfect and it casts out fear. And I thank You Lord for not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. Now Father I thank You for delivering me from fear, I thank You Lord for binding every stronghold of the enemy coming against me and casting them out.   I know that no power is greater than You.  I praise You for this victory, and for complete salvation and safety, and for Your divine peace that floods my soul.    In Jesus Name I pray, Amen

Victory Over Pride Father, Your Word says that You hate a proud look, that You resist the proud but give grace to the humble. I submit myself, therefore, to You, God. In the name of Jesus, I resist the devil, and he will flee from me. I renounce every manifestation of pride in my life as sin; I repent and turn from it. As an act of faith, I clothe myself with humility and receive Your grace. I humble myself under Your mighty hand, Lord, that You may exalt me in due time. I refuse to exalt myself. I do not think of myself more highly than I ought; I do not have an exaggerated opinion of my own importance, but rate my ability with sober judgment, according to the degree of faith apportioned to me. Proverbs 11:2 says, “When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.” Father, I set myself to resist pride when it comes. My desire is to be counted among the lowly, so I take on the attitude of a servant. Father, thank You that You dwell with one who is of a contrite and humble spirit. You revive the spirit of the humble and revive the heart of the contrite one. Thank You that the reward of humility and the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen. Walking in humility Father, I clothe myself with humility [as the garb of a servant, so that its covering cannot possibly be stripped from me]. I renounce pride and arrogance. Father, You give grace to the humble. Therefore I humble myself under Your mighty hand, that in due time You may exalt me. In the name of Jesus, I cast the whole of my care [all my anxieties, all my worries, all my concerns for my future, once and for all] on You, for You care for me affectionately and care about me watchfully. I expect a life of victory and awesome deeds because my actions are done on behalf of a spirit humbly submitted to Your truth and righteousness. Father, in the name of Jesus, I refuse to be wise in my own eyes; but I choose to fear You and shun evil. This will bring health to my body and nourishment to my bones. Father, I humble myself and submit to Your Word that speaks (exposes, sifts, analyzes, and judges) the very thoughts and purposes of my heart. I test my own actions, so that I might have appropriate self-esteem, without comparing myself to anyone else. I listen carefully and hear what is being said to me. I incline my ear to wisdom and apply my heart to understanding and insight. Humility and fear of You bring wealth and honor and life. Father, I hide Your Word in my heart that I might not sin against You. As one of Your chosen people, holy and dearly loved, I clothe myself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. I bear with others and forgive whatever grievances I may have against anyone. I forgive as You forgave me. And over all these virtues I put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. I let the peace of Christ rule in my heart, and I am thankful for Your grace and the power of the Holy Spirit. Father, may Your will be done on earth in my life as it is in heaven. In Jesus’ name, amen. ©2006 Germaine Copeland and Word Ministries, Inc.

Walking in Forgiveness Father, I repent of holding on to bad feelings toward others. I bind myself to godly repentance and loose myself from bitterness, resentment, envying, strife, and unkindness in any form. Father, I ask Your forgiveness for the sin of ____________. By faith, I receive it, having assurance that I am cleansed from all unrighteousness through Jesus Christ. I ask You to forgive and release all who have wronged and hurt me. I forgive and release them. Deal with them in Your mercy and loving-kindness. From this moment on, I purpose to walk in love, to seek peace, to live in agreement, and to conduct myself toward others in a manner that is pleasing to You. I know that I have right standing with You, and Your ears are attentive to my prayers. It is written in Your Word that the love of God has been poured forth into my heart by the Holy Ghost Who is given to me. I believe that love flows forth into the lives of everyone I know, that we may be filled with and abound in the fruits of righteousness, which bring glory and honor unto You, Lord, in Jesus’ name. So be it! Amen. Prayer of Forgiveness to Mother Declaration of Forgiveness to Mom (Say this aloud) Mom, I need your comfort and expressed love. I didn’t realize how much I needed it until now. Mom, because of your own emotional crisis, you weren’t always able to express to me the love that I needed. There were times I needed to hear the tender tones of your voice, but instead your words, the tone of your voice and maybe anger, pierced my heart. There were times I needed to see in your eyes that you loved me… There were times I needed to be drawn to the comfort of your arms and just be held, but you weren’t there. Mom, I forgive you…. You were hurt and wounded too… You didn’t know how to express love. You didn’t know how to comfort me. You didn’t provide affection, touch, eye contact… Mom, I release you- I pardon you from bitterness and from resentment Mom, I love you. Thank you for the gift of life. Today, I commit to walk in love, forgiveness toward you from this day forward. PLR

Prayer to Receive the Father’s Love (Say this aloud) Abba Father, El- Shaddai, I come to you longing to experience your comforting, mothering heart… Only you can meet my deepest need of strong love. Today Father, please forgive me for the resentment, unforgiveness, and bitterness I have harbored toward my mother. I confess I have turned to counterfeit affections rather than turn to you, Father. I have made wrong choices to fill this void in my life. I repent for living an impure life, with impure lusts, uncleanness, perversion, addictions… Forgive me Father for not trusting you to meet my needs. I come to you Father, to lay my head on your breast ad I rest at peace, knowing you love and care for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen Psalms 131:2 (NIV) But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned (A)child with its mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me. PLR

Fasting and Prayer Healthy Tips for Fasting As Christians, fasting is such a key to our spiritual growth and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. Not only are the benefits spiritual, but we can obtain optimal health by developing self-discipline in our eating habits. As you prepare for our 21 day Fast we have listed some tips to help you have a successful fast. We know and understand that the Lord can be your strength throughout your fast as you meditate on His word, however there are also natural things you must also do to achieve a successful and healthy time of fasting. Note: These are only suggestions and tips… If you have any type of illness or disease, or if you are on any medication, please contact your physician before you begin the fast. You will want to make sure you fast properly based on your health condition. The same goes if you are pregnant or nursing. It is very helpful to begin eliminating caffeine, sugar, processed foods, and flour from your diet a couple days prior to fasting. This helps to reduce the uncomfortable side effects of fasting – the headaches, nausea, and flu-like symptoms that are so common in the first few days of a fast. Here are some things you can to help make yourself comfortable during your fast: q Get plenty of rest when you can q Drink LOTS of water – you will find yourself very dehydrated if you do not drink water and you will find yourself passing out and even going to the hospital if you do not drink enough water. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day! q Use your normal times of eating or snacking to meditate on God’s Word, get your Bible out, listen to a sermon CD or read a Christian book and definitely spend more time in prayer. q If you feel dizzy, make sure you sit down and don’t push yourself – this is common as your body is beginning to eliminate toxins.

110

Healthy Tips for Fasting (cont.) We have also provided a general list food and snack ideas to help you know how to do a Daniel Fast. Just remember, it’s not about what you can eat and what you can’t eat – just use this time to really connect with the Lord and receive cleansing in your body. Properly Coming Off A Fast This is just as important as being on the fast. You’ve just honored your body and done some deep healing, don’t blow the benefits with a thoughtless food binge. You should take equal amount of days on the fast to come off the fast. Your stomach will have shrunk during the fast so start with small portions and listen to your body. At the end of the fast, the amount of digestive juices available is limited, so you will not be able to digest large portions or heavy foods immediately. So you should introduce more foods slowly back into your diet. Gorging after a fast, as some occasionally do, or eating highly refined or spiced foods, can have serious consequences, such as severed abdominal pain, diarrhea, and vomiting. Keep in mind, as you’ve fasted you’ve eliminated toxins out of your body. When you eat again you will be adding toxins back into your body. If you don’t add foods slowly back into your diet you can put your body into shock adding too many toxins at a time by gorging. When you fast, your body undergoes several biological changes. Enzymes normally produced by the digestive system have ceased to be produced or have been diminished greatly, depending on the type of fast performed, so introducing food slowly allows the body time to re-establish this enzyme production. Because of these biological changes, overeating immediately following a fast is much worse than overeating at any other time. Your system needs time to readjust back to normal digestion and assimilation.

Healthy Tips for Fasting (cont.) If you have any type of illness or disease, or if you are on any medication, coming off the fast properly is extremely vital to your health. You must follow the guidelines of your physician in coming off your fast, otherwise it could lead to severe sickness or even death (in severe health cases) depending on your health condition. Simple foods in small portions is your key to success coming off a fast. Here are some suggestions in adding simple foods and small portions back into your diet:

If you did only a water / juice fast – you will want to start with fresh fruits, steamed or raw vegetables and soups first back into your diet for the first couple of days so you don’t send your digestive system into shock. Then keep adding simple foods and smaller portions as you proceed in the upcoming days. Be very careful adding meats especially red meat, it takes a lot more digestive fluid to digest red meat. Try implementing chicken and fish before red meat. Your stomach may also be sensitive at first to dairy products, you can start with some yogurt.

If you did the Daniel Fast – you will still want to implement simple foods and smaller portions as well. However try to implement chicken and fish before red meat, again it takes a lot more digestive fluids to digest red meat. Your stomach may also be sensitive at first to dairy products, you can start with some yogurt.

This is your opportunity to begin a healthy lifestyle so why to continue to eat healthy foods and healthy portions going forward.

Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and we need His strength to advance His Kingdom and in this Revival we need the vitality and energy to keep pressing in to God!

While it may take a little thought and attention breaking a fast properly is so important to our overall health and to reaping the full benefits fasting can create.

Fasting For Breakthrough Prayer Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for allowing me to understand that You gave fasting to Your church so that You could commune with us on a more intimate level. I thank You for loving me with a love I do not have the capacity to understand. The death of Your only Son Jesus, gives me insight into Your great love for me.

Lord, my time with You is enhanced when I fast. I appreciate the revelation I receive when I fast (of which the enemy is insanely jealous). Fasting is a strong foundation for me, and it draws me closer to You.

I command every demonic spirit assigned to hinder my fasting life to go from me in Jesus’ name. The spirits of greed, gluttony, distraction, flesh covetousness, worldliness, and weakness are bound – now! I command each dark force released to hinder my time of fasting and communion with You, O Lord, to cease its operation, in Jesus’ name.

Every python spirit is unraveled. Father, open my spirit to new revelation concerning fasting. I break the spirit of ignorance over my life, which keeps me from understanding the plan and purpose of living a life of fasting. Lord, I know that fasting will help me to find the rhythm of Your heartbeat. I refuse to allow my flesh to dictate when and how I fast, in the name of Jesus. When I fast I will finish! I will dedicate the time the Lord has dictated to the chosen fast.

I bind fasting as a religious ceremony as the Pharisees performed it. My fasts will be dedicated unto the purposes of God. The demons cannot cross the perimeters of my dedicated space during my time of fasting and prayer. God, give me dreams, visions, and prophetic insights during my time of fasting and prayer. Let every place of deception in my life be revealed. Let every strong bridge of the enemy in my life be weakened and broken. The demons of my past will not cross over into my destiny.

I confess that regular fasting gives my re-created spirit the ability to rule over my flesh and mind, in the name of Jesus. Father, let the spirit that hungers and thirsts for Your presence overshadow the hunger and thirst for natural food and water. God, give me the ability to fast supernaturally. I confess that fasting is not by power and might but only by your Spirit, Lord.

113

Fasting For Breakthrough Prayer continued…

I thank You, Holy Spirit, that for everything that You desire of me, You will supply unto me the power to accomplish it in the name of Jesus. Father, I confess that Your strength is made perfect in my weakness. I understand that fasting weakens my physical body but allows my re-created spirit to become stronger as it communes with the Holy Spirit. I declare that fasting helps me to present my body as a living sacrifice. Fasting and prayer sharpen my focus so that I can walk in the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. I also declare that fasting helps me to interpret and understand my covenant with God and the words of the Holy Bible. I will not be deceived by the spirit of deception. Every evil spirit set against my life is bound.

I dismantle every demonic plan against me and replace it with the plans of the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus. I cover my family and myself with the blood of Jesus. As we give our bodies unto fasting and prayer, protection and provision will be our portion. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.

Daniel Fast (cont.) All solid fats including shortening, margarine, lard and foods high in fat. Beverages including but not limited to coffee, tea, herbal teas, carbonated beverages, energy drinks, and alcohol. When you shop for food remember to READ THE LABELS to make sure the only ingredients in packaged foods are suitable for the Daniel Fast. You will want to be especially aware of chemicals, dairy products and sweeteners - all of which are not allowed on the Daniel Fast. The Daniel Fast for the body, soul and spirit The Bible teaches us that we are a spirit, we have a soul and we live in a body. The Daniel Fast affects all three parts of us as we enter into a period of time for focused prayer and fasting. The Body - Certainly our bodies are affected as our diet is changed, for some in very dramatic ways, during the Daniel Fast. Many men and women experience detoxing from caffeine, chemicals and sugar. The symptoms are most often headaches, leg cramps, fatigue and malaise. Most people lose weight during the Daniel Fast. And many report healings from diabetes, allergies, arthritis and cancer. The Soul - Frequently referred to as "the flesh" in the Bible, the soul is also greatly impacted during the Daniel Fast. The soul is the seat of our emotions, intellect, personality and will. It is in the "soulish realm" where we experience cravings, frustration, anger . . . and even happiness. During the Daniel Fast, your soul may very well rebel against the dramatic change in your diet. Experiencing and winning this battle over the flesh is often one of the most powerful lessons of the Daniel Fast.

117

The Daniel Fast (cont.) The Spirit - Our spirit is that born-again part of us that surrenders to God and then abides with the Father and the Son. Our spirit is filled with the Holy Spirit when we yield to Him. During the Daniel Fast, we want to put our spirit in charge of the other two parts of us. When our flesh is acting out with a craving, we take control of it with our spirit (just as a parent takes control of a rebellious child). Fasting is always coupled with a spiritual goal. So during this time of fasting, you will want to focus on prayer, study and meditation. An important question to ask yourself . . . During your Daniel Fast you will have many times when you might want to "stretch the rules" a little bit. For example, even though the guidelines say we are to drink only water . . . you conclude that herbal teas are vegetables and water is water and therefore you will go ahead and drink herbal teas during the Daniel Fast. But I encourage you to learn a powerful spiritual lesson by asking yourself (examining your heart) the question, "Why do you want the herbal teas?" My guess is that the answer will be, "Well I just want them. I can't drink only water. I have to have something else." The Daniel Fast teaches us to deny our "selves" and instead put our spirit in control over our flesh. As you plan your meals and eat your food, keep in mind that the definition of a fast is to deny food for a spiritual purpose. What if you have health issues? Fasting should never bring harm to the body. And if you have concerns, be sure to consult your health professional before going on the Daniel Fast or making any major dietary change. The Daniel Fast is a very healthy way to eat! So health professionals will support this eating plan, but might suggest a few modifications if you have health issues that need special attention. For example, pregnant and nursing mothers might get instructions to add fish, chicken and cheese into the Daniel Fast, but otherwise stay the course. Diabetics may need to add more carbohydrates or include chicken and fish.

Prayers for specific situations Prayer for Ministry Expansion Father in the name of Jesus, We stand in faith and unity as a body of believers at Church of Joy. We thank you that according to Matthew 18:19, “… That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.” We stand in agreement for your will and your wisdom to be done concerning the expansion of our ministry. We pray according to 1 Chronicles 4:10, “that thou wouldest bless us indeed, and enlarge our coast, and that thine hand might be with us and that thou wouldest keep us from evil, that it would not grieve us…” We thank you that we will have increased land, property, resources and facilities to accomplish the mandate that you have released to us. Thank you that the blessings of increase come upon us and allow us to reach more children, teens, and families with the fire of revival and presence of the Lord. We declare according to Proverbs 16:7 “When a man’s ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.” Thank you that as our ways of obedience, sacrifice, unity, worship and sowing please you Lord, we declare that we will be at peace with every enemy. We declare that we will have favor with the parties interested in our current property and declare that all business dealings will be fair and favorable for our righteous cause. We bind the spirits of manipulation, apathy, confusion, contention, sabotage and greed that would threaten any business negotiations. We bind every attack of wicked and unreasonable men and women and we loose God’s perfect will and purpose over our expansion.

Prayers for Land Lord, we lift up our need for land to you. You know what we need, you have the perfect piece of property picked out for us. You have perfect timing and we trust that you will reveal to Pastor the pathway we should take. You are our father and you provide for our every need. Make plain to us where you want us to go. Lord, open the doors that need to be opened and grant us favor. We pray for the owners of the land and the city. Touch the hearts of the city leadership. Speak to them and soften their hearts toward us and our mission. Let this approval process be favorable and swift. Lord you said you turn the heart of the king to do Your will. Be it unto us according to your Word. Amen. Leviticus 20:24 But I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from other people. Micah 7:11- The day for building your walls will come, the day for extending your boundaries.

Prayers for City Issues- Zoning requests Oh God, as we approach the upcoming meeting at City Hall, to defend our request for re-zoning of the ____________. Help us to be ready for this fight. We are humble before you God, because we know that we cannot fight without You on our side. So we look to your Word, which speaks of your promises and your provision for us, protection and victory over our enemies. We don’t fight in our own strength, but we fight covered-cloaked in Your strength and Your power. We plead the blood of Jesus over ____________ and over Pastor Luis, our attorney and everyone involved in this proceeding as they stand before these men and women at the city council. Prayer for City/Region We pray for the financial condition of our communities. We pray for your mercy, God on our land and on our commerce. We ask your forgiveness, Lord for the sin and lawlessness that has dominated this Region. We repent on behalf of our leadership and those in authority and we pray for strong leadership to arise. We Declare and decree authority over the Principalities and powers that have ruled over the region for decades: ♣ Spirit of Pride ♣ Spirit of Poverty ♣ Spirit of lawlessness ♣ Spirit of perversion and sexual promiscuity ♣ Spirit of murder, violence ♣ Spirit of Desolation Jeremiah 44:22- So that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day. This north shore region- Zion, Waukegan, North Chicago, all of these cities are plagued with poverty, distress, lack of resources, depressed economies, crime, murder, violence. There is hopelessness and despair that permeates the air. This is the manifestation of the spirit of desolation. We come against this spirit- we bind it and command it to cease operating in our Region. We cast it out, in Jesus Name. We call forth the Spirit of Revival to our cities! We speak life to our economies! Spirit of God, blow over our cities with fresh winds of life, resources and witty inventions. We call forth entrepreneurs and politicians who will work together to bring increase into our communities. We pray for the favor of the Lord to be upon the hands of those whose hearts are turned toward God and that whatever they do will prosper. Lethargy, apathy, lack of agreement- you are bound now on the authority of the name of Jesus. You have no more power or sway over the people of this region- we are free from your bondage.

124

Prayer for City/Region continued… Spirit of intimidation- come down- cease to operate- blocking God’s people from seeing the truth and receiving the new. We declare, there is strong leadership in the churches of this region, who will lead God’s people to the light of the truth, the power of Revival, Restoration and Reformation! Spirit of God, break through the strongholds that have held this people in captivity, poverty and desolation. We will arise and take back what the devil has stolen from us and our land will be healed and restored. Prosperity, growth and increase- come to our cities now, in the name of Jesus’ we pray.

Prayer for Concerns in our Nation Father, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob… Your word declares that if we, your people, who are called by your name, will humble ourselves and pray and seek your face and turn from our wicked ways, then will we hear from heaven and You will forgive our sin and will heal our land.- 2 Chronicles 7:14 We bow before your throne and humbly ask your forgiveness for the sin of idolatry! Your word demands; “Thou shalt have no other gods before me,” and yet we have, under the banner of pluralism and hedonism, embraced and worshipped the gods of this world. Take us back to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob!- Exodus 20:30 Through moral and spiritual compromise and complacency, we have allowed our nation to conform to the ways of the world by turning away from our spiritual roots found in Your Word.- Romans 12:2 Our silence has produced a secular nation and all nations that forget you, shall be forsaken. We ask that you hear our cry, for we need you in these desperate times, to lead us out of our politically correct fog of constant confusion and take us back to Your moral clarity. Psalm 9:17 O Lord our God, King of the Universe, we confess that America cannot survive without Your presence. Your statutes founded this blessed land and we look to You, Father God, to preserve it, for “blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”- Psalm 33:12 As commanded in Scripture, we pray for all who govern our nation; may their decisions be led by the perfect compass of your Holy Word, which clearly discerns right from wrong thinking.- 1 Timothy 2:1-3

Prayer for Proclamation for America (cont.) America must have spiritual renewal for moral survival! In this season of prayer, we unite in humble, heartfelt hope and ask that you forgive us and deliver us from the \folly of our transgressions. Guide and sustain our nation as we turn from our sin and return to you, the God of our Fathers.- Psalm 51:1-17 The time has come to declare our trust in you to heal our land. -2 Samuel 22:2-4; Psalm 5:11-12; Psalm 57:1-3 We pledge to exercise our God-given rights of “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” in voting for future leaders from the country courthouse to the White House who obey and honor Your Word. –Deuteronomy 28:1-14; Psalm 119:44-48; Psalm 5:11 We pledge to vote the Bible in selecting those that govern our country. –Deuteronomy 16:18-20 Blessed are You, O Lord our God, for you are good and your mercy endures forever. We petition heaven with our united prayers as we seek your blessing, your peace and your protection for America. -1 Chronicles 16:34; Numbers 6:22-26; Romans 15:13; Psalm 5:11 May the Lord, our God, be with us, as He was with our forefathers; may He not leave us or forsake us; so that He may incline our hearts to Himself, To walk in all his ways… that all people of the earth may know that the Lord is God and that there is no other. –Kings 8:57-60 Heavenly Father, You are the real foundation of nations, raising them up to serve and care for the people dwelling in their boundaries. Send forth your Spirit to this country and make it a source of wisdom and strength, order and integrity throughout the world. Look with mercy on those who rule over us. Grant to our President and his administration the grace to know and do your will. Let them serve in truth and righteousness. Inspire our Congressmen with the courage to make laws for the good of all rather than the few. Give our Judges your Spirit of wisdom and understanding that they may discern the truth and impartially administer the law.

128

Prayer for Proclamation for America (cont.) We lift up our president to You. We know that our leader's heart is in Your Hand, so we ask You to guide the head of our nation in the way You would have him go. Surround our president with wise counsel--men and women of moral integrity who place Your agenda and the good of this great nation above their own and whose motives are for that which is right. Give our leaders discernment, understanding, and knowledge so that our country may know stability internally and abroad. We give You thanks for our president according to Your Word, and thank You for working in and through his leadership so that we might lead peaceable lives in godliness and honesty. We pray for the international relations of our nation. I pray that those You raise up would give favor and offer safety to the missionaries in their respective nations. We pray a hedge of protection over our military and we trust that you will allow them to dwell in safety. Thank you for giving them wisdom in warfare and strength in battle. Send Your Holy Spirit to alert our military personnel of any potential attacks, and give them the power to abort attacks before they happen. Keep them always in the safety of Your Arms. Thank you for the men and women who have given their lives for our nation’s freedom. Thank you that we will not take our freedom and our nation for granted. Thank you that the United States is strengthened and blessed only because of God’s grace toward us. Thank you Lord for the peace of Israel and the relationship of support and agreement that will continue toward that nation.

Thank you that the United States will never turn its back on Israel and we will continually stand in agreement with God’s chosen people.

In Jesus’ name. Amen

Prayer for Elections – Political Leaders Father, we know from your Word that by You, kings reign and rulers decree justice. By You, princes and nobles- even all the judges and governors of the earth- rule.

Father, in Jesus’ name, we give thanks for the United States and its government. We hold up in prayer before You the men and women who are in positions of authority. We pray and intercede for the president, the representatives, the senators, the judges of our land, the policemen and the policewomen, as well as the governors and mayors, military leaders, other heads of government agencies and departments; school boards, and city councils and for all those who are in authority over us in any way. We pray that the Spirit of the Lord rests upon them.

We believe that skillful and divinely directed decisions are on their lips and that their mouths do not transgress judgment. We agree that their hearts are in Your hand and that You turn them whichever way You will. You have made our leaders to be blessed and a blessing forever.

We believe You cause our leaders to be men and women of integrity who are obedient concerning Your way of judging, O God, and the spirit of Your righteousness controls their actions. We pray that the upright shall dwell in our government — that men and women blameless and complete in Your sight, Father, shall remain in these positions of authority, but the wicked shall be cut off from our government and the treacherous shall be rooted out of it.

Your Word declares that “blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Ps. 33:12). We receive Your blessing. Father; You are our Refuge and Stronghold in times of trouble (high cost, destitution, and desperation). So we declare with our mouths that Your people dwell safely in this land, and we prosper abundantly. We are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus!

We give thanks unto You that the good news of the Gospel is published in our land. The Word of the Lord prevails and grows mightily in the hearts and lives of the people. We give thanks for this land and the leaders You have given to us, in Jesus’ name. As a church, we commit to pray for our leaders and bless them. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Prayer For Israel- The Jewish People We stand as Gentiles in the body of Christ to intercede for our brothers and sisters, the nation of Israel. We declare that salvation is of the Jews and we have been grafted in as Gentile believers. We take our position on the wall and pray for the salvation, deliverance, and restoration of the Jewish people in relationship with Jesus Christ as Messiah.   We declare that the hearts of the Jewish people would no longer be hardened, but that they would turn from their rebellion and receive Jesus as their Lord.   We bind every spirit of rebellion, rejection, pride, and complacency that causes the Jewish people to trust in their own wealth, ability, wisdom, or intellect. We declare according to Romans 11:25-27 25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. 26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. We bring low every high thought of idolatry and religious routine and we provoke the Jewish people into an authentic relationship with God through Jesus Christ.   We dethrone and unseat every principality and power that would hinder, disrupt, or blind the hearts of the Jewish people. We destroy every stronghold of tradition, pride, and rebellion that would stand against the truth of the gospel through Jesus Christ.

131

Prayer For Israel- The Jewish People (cont.) We declare that the Jewish people will no longer live out of relationship with God, but that they will respond to God’s love for His chosen people.   Thank you Lord that you have loved Israel with an everlasting love and that there will be a great revival among the Jewish people. Thank you Lord that your covenant with Israel is sure and it shall never be broken.   Thank you Lord that He that keepeth Israel will not keep silent until Israel is made to be a praise in the earth. We declare that Israel will be revived people, reconciled to God in these last days as they open their hearts to receive Christ as Messiah and establish His reign in their lives.

132

Prayer For The Persecuted Church Hebrews 13:3- Think constantly of those in prison as if you were prisoners at their side. Think too of all who suffer as if you shared their pain. Lord, we pray that the Church of Jesus Christ, wakes up and begins to cry out for mercy for those being persecuted all over the world. We bind the spirit of fear, doubt, weakness, discouragement that would grip the hearts of those under persecution. Help them to stand firm in the faith and continue to preach the gospel and proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord. Protect them and shield them supernaturally from further attack. We pray that the Church of Jesus Christ in this nation, wakes up out of its slumber and begins to cry out and intercede for Christian brothers and sisters who are being treated unfairly. Give us an awareness of attacks against the Church and our religious freedoms in this Nation. Give courage to our religious leaders to rise up and take a stand for righteousness and our right to speak truth to our culture. We bind spirits that are at work to shut down other Christian businesses who will not bow the knee to Satan and compromise their beliefs for financial gain. We pray for students who are harassed for their belief in Christ and their Christian witness. May they be bold and stand up for the truth, unashamed of the Gospel. Thank you Lord, that as we stand strong and do not compromise, and speak out for what is true and just- we can be confident that You- Lord of the Angel Armies, will fight our battles for us.

133

Scriptures to stand on in prayer Psalms 60:12- Through God we shall gain the victory; for He it is that shall tread down our enemies. Proverbs 16:7- When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. 2 Chronicles 20:20-25-… Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be able to stand firm. Believe in his prophets, and you will succeed.” 21 After consulting the people, the king appointed singers to walk ahead of the army, singing to the Lord and praising him for his holy splendor. This is what they sang: “Give thanks to the Lord; his faithful love endures forever!” 22 At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the Lord caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves. 23 The armies of Moab and Ammon turned against their allies from Mount Seir and killed every one of them. After they had destroyed the army of Seir, they began attacking each other. 24 So when the army of Judah arrived at the lookout point in the wilderness, all they saw were dead bodies lying on the ground as far as they could see. Not a single one of the enemy had escaped. 25 King Jehoshaphat and his men went out to gather the plunder. They found vast amounts of equipment, clothing,[a] and other valuables—more than they could carry. There was so much plunder that it took them three days just to collect it all! Psalms 3:1-6-O Lord, I have so many enemies; so many are against me. 2 So many are saying, “God will never rescue him!” 3 But you, O Lord, are a shield around me; you are my glory, the one who holds my head high. 4 I cried out to the Lord, and he answered me from his holy mountain. 5 I lay down and slept, yet I woke up in safety, for the Lord was watching over me. 6 I am not afraid of ten thousand enemies who surround me on every side. Psalms 37:18-28 Day by day the LORD takes care of the innocent, and they will receive an inheritance that lasts forever. 19 They will not be disgraced in hard times; even in famine they will have more than enough. 20 But the wicked will die. The LORD’s enemies are like flowers in a field—they will disappear like smoke. (continued on next page.)

134

Scriptures to stand on in prayer (cont.) 21 The wicked borrow and never repay, but the godly are generous givers. 22 Those the LORD blesses will possess the land, but those he curses will die. 23 The LORD directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. 24 Though they stumble, they will never fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand. 25 Once I was young, and now I am old. Yet I have never seen the godly abandoned or their children begging for bread. 26 The godly always give generous loans to others, and their children are a blessing. 27 Turn from evil and do good, and you will live in the land forever.  28 For the LORD loves justice, and he will never abandon the godly. He will keep them safe forever, but the children of the wicked will die. Isaiah 41:10-13- Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. 11 “See, all your angry enemies lie there, confused and humiliated. Anyone who opposes you will die and come to nothing. 12 You will look in vain for those who tried to conquer you. Those who attack you will come to nothing. 13 For I hold you by your right hand—I, the LORD your God. And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.   Isaiah 54:17- no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me," declares the LORD. So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. 36 You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised. II Corinthians 10:3-5- (New King James Version) 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

135

Scriptures to stand on (cont.) Isaiah 61:1-9- 1The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; 3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. 4 And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. 5 And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers. 6 But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves. 7 For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them. 8 For I the LORD love judgment, I hate robbery for burnt offering; and I will direct their work in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them. 9 And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed. Joshua 1:3-5- Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. 4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast. 5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. 1Kings 6:12- As for this temple you are building, if you follow my decrees, carry out my regulations and keep all my commands and obey them, I will fulfill through you the promise that I gave to David your father. Micah 7:11- The day for building your walls will come, the day for extending your boundaries.

Prayer Training 2013 Session 1 Protocol For Prayer- How To Approach God Prayer is our way of communicating with God. God desires to talk and commune with us. He wants to develop an intimate relationship with us. We respond to his invitation by pursuing Him in prayer. Our God loves us and longs to be with us and spend time with us. We do this in prayer. “In the court of King Xerxes, entering the king’s presence without permission carried a penalty of death for the offender. This law was not lightly taken by the people of Persia. But, in order to save her people, Queen Esther collected her courage and approached the throne. The king accepted her without rebuke, granted her request, and a nation survived.” (Max Lucado, Entering His Presence) We honor God as we approach Him and ask Him to hear us just like Ester did. God is not going to treat us harshly, by threatening us with death if we don’t come correct. But, as we acknowledge who God is in our life, we then prepare ourselves to be in His presence. God is almighty, he is everything, He is the King, lord over our lives (Acts 10:36). As King, he deserves honor, glory and praise. He created us, he created this world that we live in and he is preparing an eternal dwelling place for us. There is no comprehending God- he is the alpha (the beginning) and the omega (the end). “In Him we live and move and have our being.” (Acts 17:28- For in him we live, and move, and have our being ;…) How do you come into the presence of a king? What is the protocol? “I will bring these people to my holy mountain and give them joy in my house of prayer.” (Is. 56:7). Outer Court- we present ourselves, asking for the washing of the water of the Word (Eph 5:26-That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, ). At this place of prayer, we repent of any know sins or offences to God or others, preparing the way for us to enter to make sacrifice unto God. Heb 13:15- “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.” KJV

137

Prayer Training 2013 Session 1 Protocol For Prayer- How To Approach God continued… We are to offer this sacrifice of praise continually. We are to cloak ourselves with praise instead of being cloaked with a spirit of heaviness. Inner Court- this is the place where we make sacrifice. At this stage of our prayer time, we would be singing, making a sacrifice of praise unto our God. Praising Him for who He is and what he has done. The focus changes from us and our sins and trespasses to God and ministering unto him. This is a time when the Holy Spirit can get us to the place of surrender, laying our all on the altar so that our flesh dies and our spirit can become alive. Jonah 2:9-10- “9 But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving; I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the LORD. 10 And the LORD spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.” KJV When Jonah offered a sacrifice of praise the Lord spoke and the fish vomited him up. When you and I offer a sacrifice of praise the Lord will demand that the devil release us from every bondage, every sickness, every fear and every form of lack. Jeremiah 33:11-“The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.” KJV When you bring the sacrifice of praise into the House of the Lord you are operating with proper protocol. And the Lord says that He will cause restoration to take place in your life because you do. So then that which the enemy has stolen or damaged in your life will be completely restored! (Kenny Gatlin, “The Proper Protocol for Entering the Presence of God)

138

Prayer Training 2013 Session 1 Protocol For Prayer- How To Approach God continued… The Holy of Holies Exodus Chapter 26- 31 “And thou shalt make a veil of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen of cunning work: with cherubims shall it be made: 32 And thou shalt hang it upon four pillars of shittim wood overlaid with gold: their hooks shall be of gold, upon the four sockets of silver. 33 And thou shalt hang up the veil under the taches, that thou mayest bring in thither within the veil the ark of the testimony: and the veil shall divide unto you between the holy place and the most holy.” The room created behind the veil represents what is in heaven. This room was called the Holy of Holies and was the holiest place in the Tabernacle where the Ark of the Covenant rested. Hebrews Chapter 10:19 “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,” What you need right now is time in the presence of God. But come before His presence with proper protocol and watch how things begin to turn around in your life. Preparation for Prayer • Hosea 10:12- Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the LORD, till He comes and rains righteousness on you.

A. Prepare your heart. I believe a properly prepared heart involves a real godly sorrow and brokenness over our sins against God. We must allow Him to break up the fallow ground of our hearts through godly sorrow. When there is a humility of spirit which understands that God is being gracious and merciful to us by giving ear to our prayer and then answering, we will receive more from God.

Praying In The Spirit

1 Corinthians 14:14-15- “14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. 15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.” KJV

We need to be continually offering the sacrifice of praise to God both singing with our understanding as well as singing in tongues. This is God’s way. (KG)

As a born again believer, baptized in the Holy Ghost, we now have the very presence or life of God living on the inside of us. Jesus came to live in us when we accepted him as our Lord and savior. When Jesus was preparing to leave the disciples, and go to the cross, he spent time preparing them and letting them know that he would send a comforter to be with them (us). (John 14:16- And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;) Holy Spirit should be a vital part of our relationship with God. Jesus knew we would need Holy Spirit, to live victorious lives. So we receive him, a good gift that our father gives us and we engage him.

With the Holy Spirit on the inside of us, we have access to the very power of God. “The Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead, the God of Genesis 1 who spoke the universe into existence, live in us,… We are one in spirit with Him, which means that His thoughts, His desires,

141

Prayer Training 2013 Session 1 Protocol For Prayer- How To Approach God continued…

His plans, and His life are now ours. How can we access the life of God in us? How can we begin to see the Holy Spirit break out of our spirit and transform every area of our life- body, soul and spirit?” (The Glory Within, Corey Russell) We tap into the power of the Holy Spirit and we do this by praying in tongues- praying in the Spirit.

The Bible says that when we don’t know what to pray for, the Spirit knows and when we pray in tongues our spirit is praying, communing with the Holy Spirit what needs to be prayed. (Romans 8:26- Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.)

Praying in the Spirit is a part of our prayer time that we give God our undivided attention and set our hearts to listen to His voice and hear Him speak into our lives about us, our families or the ministry. The Bible says that when we pray in the spirit we are building ourselves up, edifying ourselves, laying a foundation for more spiritual growth. The Apostle Paul said that he thanks God that he prays in tongues more than anyone. We cannot be ashamed or afraid to speak in other tongues. It is our heavenly language where we are talking to God, and just God, speaking His language- it is not for anyone else.

Warfare Prayer & Fasting

When we accepted Christ as our personal Lord and savior, we enlisted in the army of the Lord. This means that we need to be prepared to go to war with the enemy. Knowing how to apply your spiritual armor and how to use your weapons is key. In Ephesians 6, where the amour is described, all of the pieces are a part of the Word of God. “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God ….” Below is a prayer for spiritual warfare, let’s look at it more closely.

Warfare Prayer (Cindy Trimm)

I put a halt to all distractive, disturbing, and destructive measures. For this reason was the Son of God made manifest, that He would destroy the works of the enemy (John 2:15-17; Acts 16:16-19; 1John 3:8)

I disapprove, nullify, dismantle, cancel, and forcefully oppose any satanic operations, maneuvers, manipulations, subversions, strategies, tactics, plots, plans, and ploys that are designed to hinder, prevent, frustrate, foil, deny or delay God’s original plans and purposes from their quick, swift, and speedy manifestation, particularly in their correct time and season (Dan. 7:25).

Father, overthrow the plans of troublemakers, scorners, scoffers, mockers, persecutors, and character assassins. Expose satanic representatives and grant unto me divine strategies and tactics to identify, resist, and overcome plots and plans established for my demise (Esth. 9:25, Ps. 5:10; 7:14-16; 34:21; 35:1-8; 52:5; 83:13-17, 141:10; Prov 26:27; 28:10; Dan 3, 6; Matt. 7:15-23; 2 Cor. 11: 14-15);

•Draw out Your spear and stop them in their way.

•Let them be confounded and put to shame.

•Let them fall by their own counsels.

•Let them be turned back and brought to confusion.

•Let them be as chaff driven by the wind.

•Let the angel of the Lord persecute them.

•Let their way be through dark and slippery places, with the angel of the Lord pursuing and afflicting them.

• Let them be put to shame and dishonor who seek and require my life

•Let them be turned back and confounded who plan my hurt

•Let destruction come to them suddenly.

•Let them fall to their own destruction

•Let destruction come upon them unaware.

•Let them stumble and fall into the very destruction they have contrived for me.

•Let them be wounded and destroyed by the very weapons they have devised for me.

•Let them be caught in the same net that they set for me.

•Let them fall in the very pit that they dug for me.

•Let them be hung by the very noose they constructed for me.

•Let them be consumed by the very beasts they have prepared for me.

•Strike them down in the very act of their mischief.

•Let their mischief be returned to them twofold.

•Pluck them out of their dwelling place.

I come against falsehoods, slander, speculation, accusation, misrepresentation, and character assassination. 144:5-7)

I prohibit the accuser of the brethren from operating or influencing the soul or mind of anyone who comes into contact with me (Rev. 12:10)

I reverse the effect of any stigmas and declare that divine favor, grace, honor, and well wishes now replace any and all negative feelings, perceptions, and thoughts concerning myself, my family, and the work/ministry that I am called to accomplish.

Arrest those who operate in the spirit of Jezebel or Belial. Let them not resist the anointing, usurp authority, or gain any ground in the natural or in the realm of the spirit (1San. 107; 1Kings 19:1-5; 21:1-16)

Now Father, You have given me a great work to accomplish. 1:3)

Intercessory Prayer

Effective, Holy Spirit-inspired intercession is born from love. Love is the essential ingredient and the driving force behind it. Your love is so strong for the ones you are interceding for that you cannot stop praying until they have what they need from God. When we intercede we are standing in the gap for someone else. We are going to God on behalf of someone and pleading their case.

• Hebrews 7:25 • Romans 8:26 Prophetic Prayer

James 5:16-18-...The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.

When we are praying prophetically, we are declaring and decreeing God’s Word over or about a thing or person. Like the prophet Elijah, he spoke words that created a situation and he spoke words that stopped them. You are not predicting the future with this kind of prayer, but you are tapping into the heart of God.

Prayer Training 2013 Session 2

Effective Prayer

Prayer is not an empty, religious ritual. It is an act of faith, empowered by the Word, designed to yield a God-inspired result.

James 5:16 16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

•Confess - be open and transparent with God and with authorities in your life

•Expose your brokenness and admit your need for healing.

•Humble yourself to receive prayer from others.

•Effectual - effective, able to produce the desired result

•Fervent- intense and passionate

God’s desire is that your prayer yield is high!

Effective Prayer & God’s Word

God’s Word that is conceived in your heart, then formed by the tongue, and spoken out of your own mouth, becomes a spiritual force releasing the ability of God within you.

Those that say they can and those that say they can’t are both right. Words are the most powerful thing in the universe. The words you speak will either put you over or hold you in bondage.

By the prayer of their own mouth many Christians have been set in a position where they cannot receive from God. We have prayed defeat and received it. We have prayed the problem and it became greater. Even prayer produces after its kind.

God’s Word is Spiritual Law

Mark 11:24 - 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

•The spirit world is controlled by the Word of God. •The natural world is to be controlled by man speaking God’s words. •The spoken word of God is creative power. •Faith will make prayer work. •Prayer will not work without faith. Faith will not work without prayer. •God’s word is just as powerful today as it was the day He spoke it. Not one bit of power has left God’s Word. •You can speak God’s words after Him and they will work for you. But they must be formed in your spirit in faith. Creative Power by Praying the Word

Man was created in the image of God and His likeness. There was creative power that flowed out of the mouth of God, and you were created in the image of God. Then, according to the Scriptures and what Jesus said, you have the same ability dwelling on the inside of you.

Romans 10:17 - 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

•Hearing what God said will build faith inside you, because He is able to perform His every declaration. •Speak what you are going to do. Speak what God can and will do. 2 Corinthians 4:13 - 13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

•Your negative confession can cancel your prayer.

YOUR BELIEFS are the Key to the Power of Your Prayer

•People that think wrong will believe wrong. Those who believe wrong will act wrong.

Psalm119:130 - 130 The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

Who have we been listening to? Listening to the right source will build your faith. Listening to the wrong source will build your fear.

FEAR ATTRACTS THE DEVIL. FAITH ATTRACTS GOD.

Genesis 3:10-12 10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. 11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? 12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

•We need to stop quoting the enemy. You will have what you say.

Mark 11:23- 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

•Keep saying what the word says until it becomes a part of you, then it will become truth in you. •We will overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. •We need to confess the word consistently and watch the word work. Proverbs 4:23 - 23 Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

Matthew 12:36 - 36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Passionate Prayer

Your understanding of God will determine your passion in prayer. The knowledge of God is at the heart of our praying.

When we understand that God is sovereign and wise, it should drive us to seek Him. For many of us, our God is “too small.” We doubt His power. We wonder about His ability. Yet, we serve the great and almighty God; so pray accordingly!

4 Steps to Effective Prayer

(1) Be transparent before God and allow His will to come through you in prayer.

Confession, humility, and brokenness create an environment for God to respond to your prayer.

(2) Use God’s word to get a fresh vision of who God is and His will for you.

Effectual, fervent prayer flows out of understanding who God is. Allow the word of God to reveal who God is to you. Pray out of relationship and understanding rather than crisis and need.

(3) Don’t let the conditions around you overwhelm you; seek God and rest in Him.

150

Prayer Training 2013 Session 2

Effective Prayer continued…

It would be easy to get overwhelmed as you look at conditions around you. Refuse to pray the problem and commit to pray God’s solution.

(4) Passionate praying leads to courageous action.

Bold service for God must be saturated in prayer. The powerlessness of public ministry can often be traced back to prayerlessness in private. Commit to pray privately so that you can resist the urge to pray religious performance prayers, and you are able to pray God-honoring prayers.

Believer’s Position & Believer’s Authority

In the mind of God, we were raised when Christ was raised. When Christ sat down, we sat down, too. That's where we are now, positionally speaking: We're seated at the right hand of the Father with Christ.

All the authority that was given to Christ belongs to us through Him, and we may exercise it. We help Him by carrying out His work upon the earth.

One aspect of His work that the Word of God tells us to do is to conquer the devil! In fact, Christ can't do His work on the earth without us!

In our battle against the enemy and his forces, we need to keep in mind that we're above them and we have authority over them. The Word tells us that Jesus has conquered them. Our job is to enforce His victory. His victory belongs to us, but we are to carry it out.

•God's plan for us is that we rule and reign in life as kings: to rule and reign over circumstances, poverty, disease, and everything else that would hinder us.

•We reign because we have authority. We reign by Jesus Christ.

•We're not wandering like beggars, because we're not beggars. We're children of God, heirs of God, joint-heirs with Jesus Christ (Rom. 8:17).

•We're the Body of Christ. We're seated with Christ at the right hand of Majesty on High, far above all principalities and power and might and dominion, glory to God!

Believer’s Position & Believer’s Authority- continued…

The Lord is hindered in His plans because His Body has failed to appreciate the meaning of Christ's exaltation and the fact that we are seated with Him at the right hand of the Father. We have a part to play in this: We must cooperate with the Lord in faith.

Ephesians 1:18-23 - 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Ephesians 6:10-18 -10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Apostolic Authority

People with an apostolic spirit pray differently. Apostolic praying is more pioneering, birthing, and penetrating than normal communal prayer. Apostolic prayers build, establish, uproot, tear down, destroy with a sense of urgency, authority and aggression.

Jeremiah 1:10 -10 See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.

Isaiah 58:12 - 12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
