“Valmiki National Park”

Valmiki National Park is a Tiger Reserve inthe West Champaran District of Bihar, India. Itis the only national park in Bihar. Valmiki TigerReserve covers 898.45 km2 (346.89 sq mi), whichis 17.4% of the total geographical area of thedistrict. As of 2018, there were 40 tigers in the

Reserve.

Happy Chhath Puja

Chhath Puja is a very auspicious festival which is celebrated over a periodof four days. Chhath Puja is celebrated on the sixth day of Kartik month.

Chhath Puja is celebrated in Bihar, Jharkhand, and eastern Uttar Pradesh. Itis an auspicious festival in northern India. The Chhath Puja festival which iscelebrated on the sixth day of Kartik month commences with Nahay Khay.

During this festival, women observe a 36 hour fast without water. Thewomen worship Goddess Chhathi with enthusiasm. There are many beliefsrelated to the festival of Chhath Puja. Women pray for good harvest, familyhealth and prosperity, and for long life of children.

According to mythology, Goddess Chhathi is considered to be LordBrahma’s Manasputri and Lord Surya’s sister.

Bihar Climate

There are three well-defined seasons: thehot-weather season, lasting from Marchto mid-June; the season ofsouthwest monsoon rains, from mid-Juneto October; and the cold-weather season,from November to February. May is thehottest month, with temperaturesregularly exceeding 90 °F (32 °C), exceptin the extreme north. The coolest month isJanuary, with temperatures typicallyrising into the low 70s F (about 22 °C).The normal annual rainfall varies fromabout 40 inches (1,000 mm) in the west-central part of the state to more than 60inches (1,500 mm) in the extreme north.Nearly all the rain falls between June andOctober, with July and August being thewettest months. The cold-weather seasonis the most pleasant part of the year.

There was much oblivion of the fact thatBihar is the home of oldest Hindutemples in India – Mundeshwari. Thechanting voice of bells always abuzzaround the four headed Shiva, which isan incredibly amazing an amalgam ofmale and female.

Famous Personality of Bihar

“Manoj Bajpayee” Manoj Bajpayee (born 23 April 1969), also credited

as Manoj Bajpai, is an Indian actor who predominantlyworks in Hindi cinema and has alsodone Telugu and Tamil language films. He is the recipient ofthree National Film Awards, five Filmfare Awards, andtwo Asia Pacific Screen Awards. In 2019, he was awardedIndia's fourth-highest civilian honour, the Padma Shri, forhis contributions to art.

Born in Belwa, a small village near the city Bettiah in WestChamparan district Bihar, Bajpayee aspired to become anactor since childhood. He relocated to Delhi at the age ofseventeen, and applied for the National School of Drama,only to be rejected four times. He continued to do theatrewhile studying in college.

DOOR TO DOOR VISITS IN VILLAGES

In continuation of Pan India Awareness and Outreach campaign which startedfrom 2nd of October 2021 As per the guidance of NALSA, New Delhi, Door toDoor campaign was held by the PLVs. The PLVs visited remote areas and villagesin these blocks for making the people aware about the various Schemes of NALSAand about free legal Services/ Legal aid to the people belonging to themarginalized people in the society . Pamphlets and publicity material weredistributed among the people of these areas. PLVs Conducted the door to doorcampaign in Villages.

Awareness and outreach campaign was also conducted by Mobile Van inremote blocks & villages. It covered remote villages across the routeduring this campaign. Awareness regarding NALSA Schemes and freelegal aid and Services were discussed during the campaign to the peoplein general during this program.
