Searching database of job evaluations:• Use the filters to provide more specific search criteria.• Then select “Search” to list all jobs that meet your

criteria. Selecting “Search” without any criteria will list all jobs. When there are a large number of jobs, they will display in “Bulk Mode” which can be challenging to navigate.

• Hide/show search filters if you require a larger search results window.

• For consistency purposes, Mercer suggests at least one standardised view for ease of sharing exported data. Suggested sequence of fields provided below.

Jobs window.• Enter job details in “Edit Job” pop-up window,

similar to the “Add/Edit Jobs” pop-up. Fields marked with asterisk (*) are mandatory.

• Select the appropriate answer to each decision tree question to evaluate the role.

• Select “Save” to save and continue OR “Save and Close” to return to the job evaluation window.

• Click on the icon under the Decision Tree column and select “Copy to Active” to activate the evaluation profile based on the decision tree answers

• A reference job or a “benchmark” job is a job that is highly relevant or common within a company.

• Reference jobs can be used for slotting other company jobs and as a basis for establishing pay programs.

• Click on the “Edit” button in the job window• Select the magnifying glass icon to search

for a reference job.

• Find the reference job that best matches your position and click “Done” to continue

• Ensure that the “Evaluation data –dimension values” box is selected, then click “OK” to copy the reference job evaluation dimensions.

• Modify the dimensions using methods 1 and 2 above to best reflect the job being evaluated.

• Mercer’s reference evaluations are colour-coded to indicate “expected” evaluation ratings.

Use “Row Edit” to evaluate multiple jobs at once:• Under the “My Jobs” view, search for and select

required jobs and click on “Continue”• Click on the “Row Edit” button• Edit job information and/or use the drop down for

each dimension to evaluate each role.• Select “Calculate” to calculate the Total Points,

Position Class and IPE Grade• Select “Save” to save your progress OR “Reset to

undo changes.• Click “My Jobs” to return

• Search for and select jobs to be included in reports then click on the “Continue” button. (Note: the View settings determines the fields that are extracted)

• The reports will typically be downloaded in CSV/XLSX format within a ZIP file.

• Click on “Tools”, followed by “Administration” to access the Mercer WIN System Administration window.

• Select “Import Data” to launch the Import Center window.

• Select “New Import” to begin the import process.

Importing job data

• Click on the download icon for import templates. The download templates will contain instructions on how to code the fields.

• Select “My Jobs and Evaluations Import” to launch import of Job Evaluation data.

• Browse for the file to upload and click on the “Upload” button.

• You are able to update details of an existing job through the upload template.

• If you provide a reference job code, you are able to copy the evaluation and job architecture data from the reference job.

• The upload feature will scan the data file and validate before finalising the upload.

Importing job data

• If there are issues with the upload files, the system will indicate that action is required.• Download the validation report, which will indicate what the errors are and on which rows.• You can then re-upload the corrected file.

• The results of the import will be displayed upon completion.
