FDP ATTENDED

Faculty members have attended a Faculty Development Programme on “Python Programming”

organized by Department of Information Technology, Kumaraguru College of Technology from

26/06/2017 to 02/07/2017.

Faculty members have attended a two days Faculty Empowerment Program on “21st Century

Engineering Education - Activity based and Experiential learning with Educational Technology”

organized by KCT Learning and Development Academy(KLDA), Kumaraguru College of

Technology from 07/07/2017 to 08/07/2017.

CO-CURRICULAR / EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

BOARD OF STUDIES MEETING

Board of Studies meeting was conducted on 15.16.2017. The external members were Dr.

R.K.Vani, Associate Professor, Department of Information Science & Technology, Anna

University,Chennai, Dr.Latha Parameswaran, Professor, Department of CSE, Amritha

University, Coimbatore, Dr.R.Manavalan, Associate Professor, Department of Computer

Applications, PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore, Mr.Bastin Robin, Chief Data Scientist,

Hash Research Technologies, Bengaluru ,and Mr.Vijay Bhargav, System Architect, Cognizant

Technology Solutions, Coimbatore. Dr.J.Senthil, Director/SITCA welcomed the gathering. The

faculty members of MCA attended the meeting.

Faculty development programme on “Android Application Development” was conducted for the

faculty members of KCT from 10.07.2017 to 16.07.2017. The sessions were handled by

Mr.Manimaran, Android Developer ,CQUBE Technologies,Coimbatore & Mr.Jagadesh,

Software Engineer, GoFrugal Technologies, Chennai. 30 faculties have benefited by attending

this course.

.

An Orientation program for II MCA & III MCA was organized on 18.07.2017 & 19.07.2017

respectively. Two one credit courses “Human Excellence-Professional values” and “Soft skills”

were organized for the students of KCT as a part of this program.

A Faculty Development Programme on “JAVA PROGRAMMING” was organized for the

faculty members of KCT from 17.07.2017 to 23.07.2017. The sessions were handled by

Mr.Sourabh Modi, AP-II, SOC/KCT. 18 faculties have benefited by attending this course.

The orientation program for I MCA & II MCA (lateral Entry) was organized on 11.08.2017. Ms.S.Vijayalakshmi, AVP- HR, Payoda Technologies, Coimbatore was the chief guest for the inauguration. Dr.R.S.Kumar, Principal, Dr.Senthil Jayavel, Director/SOC and Dr.V.Geetha, HOD/MCA also addressed the students. P.G. forum of KCT conducted various events for the students. As the part of the orientation an one credit course on “Internet of Things” is also being conducted in association with IQUBE for the students as a part of this program.
