Property Management System (PMS) Interfacedormakaba supports an extensive interface library to a variety of PMS (Property Management System) software packages. Interfacing to the hotel's PMS solution will enable front desk attendants to manage their guest check-in/out through one user interface, the property management system. Guest registration information is pushed from the PMS to Atlas to support a one-step key creation process, eliminates duplicate entry into two systems and eliminates human error (room number, check-out date and time, etc.). Using the PMS interface speeds up card encoding and eliminates human error as the information needs to be entered only once.

Additional cables may be required for property management systems that support a serial interface.

Functions offered:Full guest management related to key card creation, cancellation and duplication.

Connection Options: • Various interface options are available, including web services. • Interface availability is dependent on the PMS provider. Some PMS solutions may not be supported. • FDU PMS interface is supported using RS-232 serial protocol. • See page 19 for a list of previously interfaced PMS providers. Note: Depending on the date on initial interface, the PMS

provider may need to update their protocols to meet current software versions. • Interface development to unsupported PMS solutions is the responsibility of the PMS provider. Upon customer / PMS

Self Check-in Kiosk InterfaceThe ATLAS Kiosk Interface supports the use of self-serve key creation kiosks. It ensures that the keys that are dispensed at the kiosk can be read by the dormakaba locks.

How does it work?When a guest proceeds to check in using the kiosk, the PMS sends the registration information to the ATLAS Kiosk Interface. The ATLAS Kiosk Interface translates this information into a key string, which is then sent to the kiosk keycard encoder. The encoder then encodes this information on the keycard; ultimately granting access to the guest to the appropriate locks.

What kiosks and locks are compatible?The kiosks must be equipped with encoders that can encode in Ilco format on both tracks 2 and 3. This interface does not support any current lock installations where the lock model has been discontinued.

dormakaba supports an extensive interface library to a variety of PMS (Property Management System) software packages. Interfacing to the hotel's PMS solution will enable front desk attendants to manage their guest check-in/out through one user interface, the property management system. Guest registration information is pushed from the PMS to Atlas to support a one-step key creation process, eliminates duplicate entry into two systems and eliminates human error (room number, check-out date and time, etc.). Using the PMS interface speeds up card encoding and eliminates human error; the information needs only to be entered once.

Functions Offered: • Guest check-in function to encode new Guest keycards (room or suite). • Additional Guest keycards function – for new or duplicate Guest keycards (room or suite). • Guest keycard read-back function for lost and found or to verify a card

Connection Options (depending on PMS): • The FDUs are connected directly to the PMS server or to the PMS Front Desk Workstations (Direct) • The FDUs are connected to the Gateway II which is connected to the PMS server (Gateway)

Plated FinishAll plated locks have a standard outside housing and no gasket. Any lock, which will be installed in an outdoor application, requires a gasket set that must be purchased separately. It will be installed on site.

Ultra Plated FinishAll ultra plated 790/79E locks have a plated brass cover protecting the outside housing for extra durability including outside gasket, which come standard for outdoor severe applications.

Cleaning your Electronic Lock

As a dormakaba customer, we recommend that you regularly maintain your electronic lock finish. To remove salt and pollutants, we strongly recommend only using a water-damp rag rather than any harsh or caustic chemicals. You should also use any wax-based products for extra protection (such as LPS3® Heavy-Duty Rust Inhibitor – a transparent waxy film, or Turtle Wax®). Please refer to the Maintenance and Troubleshooting chapter in the dormakaba Lodging Access Control System Reference Manual for further details.

Door Handing

All locks require specification of door handing. To determine the hand, face the door from the outside and select the corresponding diagram below.

L - Left Hand R - Right Hand

X - Left Hand Reverse (same as LHR or LR)

Y - Right Hand Reverse (same as RHR or RR)

Hotel LockThese locks remain permanently in locked mode, and for higher security a 1” deadbolt comes standard. This is suitable for applications where the person in the locked area needs added protection, such as a hotel room or private office. ANSI equivalent functions: Hotel Guest Lock (F15).

Office LockThese locks can operate in locked mode or passage mode. The mode can be changed manually using the thumbturn. They are suitable for doors such as offices where security is required whenever the occupant is away, along with the option of passage mode when the occupant is present. ANSI equivalent functions: Entry Lock (F04), Front Door Lock (F08), Apartment Corridor Door Lock (F10), Room Door Lock (F21).

Storeroom LockThese locks remain permanently in locked mode and lock each time the door is closed. There is no deadbolt. They are suitable for storage area doors or utility closets where constant security is required. Exiting from inside the room (Egress) is possible by turning the handle. ANSI equivalent functions: Storeroom or Closet (F07).

Exit Device OperatorThese locks operate with an exit device to permit controlled access from the outside. The lock mode (passage or locked) can be changed manually (swipe or insert card). ANSI equivalent functions: Holdback Door (F06).

Remote Access and ControllerA card reader and a controller are used for controlling access in elevators, garages or main doors. The controller interfaces with an elevator controller, gate controller, electro-magnetic lock, electric strike, exit button or panic bar. The controller mode (passage or locked) can be changed manually (swipe or insert card).

Dummy TrimThe Dummy Trim lock is for an aesthetic use only. The lock has no mechanical or electronic components. This lock is usually used on a double door entrance where the second door is bolted down.

Shabbat LockThese locks are similar to the hotel lock with the exception that on the Shabbat, a different key for each room can be given to the guest so the access to the room is done totally in a mechanical way. There is no lever or mechanical override switch used in this lock.

Auto Deadbolt OptionThe deadbolt is automatically projected every time the door is closed. Guest privacy is activated with the thumbturn knob.

OverviewMobile Access SolutionsConvenient, reliable and secure for both the hotel property and guests, dormakaba Mobile Access Solutions is an end-to-end mobile credential application utilizing Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), the preferred communication technology for dormakaba mobile-enabled RFID hotel locks. The mobile access solution integrates seamlessly with the hotel locking system providing a cloud-based platform to securely issue and manage keys on mobile devices.

All Confidant RFID kits operate using dormakaba’s mobile access, allowing guests to bypass the front desk check-in process and proceed directly to their room. They can move freely about the property using their mobile device to access any common area in the hotel requiring a room key.

Each lock maintains an audit trail to create user accountability. The 770 door locks provide emergency access through a choice of mechanical key (fixed or recodable), plus an electronic override and an emergency keycard. Egress is by interior handle and is free at all times. The ASM mortise version features a 1-inch solid metal deadbolt activated by an inside thumb turn (or with optional auto deadbolt), ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant levers, and audible and visible feedback. The attractive and robust design of the lock compliments any decor and is a perfect System 700 retrofit lock.

The 770 door lock can also be protected by our Supreme finish, which is ideal for ocean front applications.

Sleek and scalable for hotels of all sizes.The Solitaire 710-II door lock installs quickly and is available in cylindrical, standard mortise or slim mortise versions. Each lock maintains an audit trail to create user accountability. Solitaire 710-II/710 door locks provide emergency access through a choice of a mechanical key override (fixed or removable) or an electrical override and an emergency keycard. Egress is by interior handle and is free at all times. The Solitaire lock features a 1-inch solid metal deadbolt activated by an inside thumbturn (or with optional auto deadbolt), ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliant levers, and audible and visible feedback. The attractive and robust design of the lock compliments any decor.

Ilco RAC 4 / 4XTOverview

Ilco Remote Access Control (RAC 4/4XT) is a device that operates a special access point, such as an elevator, parking entrance or any other door requiring an electric strike or electro-magnetic lock. Magstripe (insert or swipe) and contactless readers are available.

The controller box is concealed in a utility space behind a wall or ceiling, with a key-locked cover to prevent tampering. The card reader, connected to the controller box, is mounted in a convenient location, such as within a driver’s reach at the entrance to a garage or beside an elevator call button. When a user swipes their card in the reader, the controller (programmed with user access information for the entire hotel) grants or denies access according to their privileges. For example, a bank of elevators can be controlled with a RAC in such a way that one or more of

the elevators can be reserved for VIP guests and staff only for conventions or special events.

Parking garages can be set up using the RAC so that only users who have paid for parking can enter the garage through pedestrian doors (protected by a lock or exit device operator) and use the garage doors.

The controller maintains an audit trail and provides other features including programmable access times and emergency unlocking of doors when signaled by a fire alarm.

In addition, flexible time zones offer greater customization for controlling access to public areas by staff and guests. The RAC is available in 2 packages the RAC 4 (a low cost, simple solution) and the RAC 4XT (an extendable total access control solution)

Easy to InstallThe E-Plex 2000 easily installs on wood or metal doors with ASA 161 door prep. Three through bolts secure the lock to the door. Electronic In-room SafeCompatible with all Access Control Systems

In today’s wired world, people carry a wide array of expensive electronic devices, and they want a safe and secure place to store them and other valuables when away from home. Ilco has the solution with a complete line of in-room safes that combine impeccable construction, security, and user-friendly operation. These safes are ideal for hotels, resorts, apartments, student housing, offices, and more.

Programmable Personal Guests choose their own personal four, five, or six-digit code to lock/unlock the safe. Code Entry:

Illuminated Keypad: Makes it easy to read the numbers if safes are installed in closets.

Audit Trail: Two Options Available: the digital keypad can be prompted to report the last 12 entries; lets you print 100 entries, showing who used the safe and in which room.

Code Blocking Built into the keypad, it provides an additional safety measure against unauthorized use. If someone tries to open the safe with an invalid pass code, the system will shut down for 15 minutes.

Battery Override Unit Allows access to the safe if the guest forgets the pass code or if a battery failure occurs, so no valuables are ever trapped inside the safe.

Electronic Master Key Managers and security personnel each have a separate master code that allows them (Protected Master Code) to unlock the safe.

One-Touch Battery Audit Instantly obtain battery conditions by touching the # key on the digital keypad.

Quick-Access Battery Panel Batteries are housed in a special slide panel inside the door for easy access. There is no need to remove the entire door cover to access the batteries.

Handheld Programmer (ECU) The Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is an easy-to-use handheld unit that serves as a programmer and password-protected maintenance unit for all safes. It can be used to obtain an access audit trail and as an emergency unit to unlock the safe, if necessary.

Optional Features

Electronic Keypad Only Provides guests with digital access for locking and unlocking the safe. A guest chooses his/her own personal four-, five-, or six-digit code, enters it on the keypad, shuts the door, and presses the close button for secure locking

Electronic Keypad with Instead of remembering numbers, guests may use their credit card or any type of Credit Card Swipe magnetic stripe to lock/unlock the safe.

Electronic Keypad with In case of emergency, a master key can be used to unlock the safe. All electronic safes Credit Card Swipe and come with an electronic override. Mechanical Key Override
