From the Chairman's Desk On the basis-0f our experience, we realized that an Industry could only be sustained fqr a longer period, if Industrialists thought in.terms of triple bottom lines i.e, i) Making profit if) Dis.tributing a portion of profltto stake holdel'S, which camprises of investors, employee1> etc. Iii) A significant portion oi profit t owards the services of society to maintain the environment, so that industl)' and industrialists, both should survive for a longer period. It means that one should contribute to society and in turn to the nation. To implement this thought, we established an Education Society, which aims at breaking grounds fer high!evel educational Institutions. Hi-Tech Institute of Engineering and Technology (HIET) ts .a premier initiative of this society. The Institute aims to impart. knowledge by attracting and Involving well experienced, qwalified faculty and providing best infrastructure facillties to the students. 1- To best survive with better perfomiance. The "magie mantra" of Industries is .to resbrt to modifications, innovations and trimming of a specialized work force. Industries now need to Induct professiooals who can start cootributlng in their set up from day one. Such a phenomenoo demands multifaceted competence besides syllabUs oriented academic competence.

2- We have formalized varlbus regular as well as periodic activities for grooming our studenls into a "Better Employable Professiooals'. To achieve such an aim, we are executing. Employability Enhancement and Personality Development Programs, Seminars, WorkshOps and Industrial vi~s. Various courses with proper certifications for appropriate languages and for capabilities are Qfganized. We have a full fledged centre of 'Promefric". Suefl activities are a way ot life for students and their participation is w~th a sense of self-assigned respoosibiiity 11nd with a tinge of competition. Factual results of such efforts oo every student are comprehensively monitored ahd anay1zed. This culminates In best results at grass root levels.

Soon we are establishing such cell !0r R Systems, QA lrifotecl1.Hungama Digital and others.

5- Going a step further towards comprehei:isive grooming of our students, we have a unique initiative called "Mentor- Mentee Program". Alumni My experiences It's been almost 4 years since my first day of college, yet it seems to be a matter of yesterday. I had many expectations and dreams related to my college lffe, and thanks to my college, I could see most of them turning into reality. My college gave me ample opportunities to enhance my qualities and constantly strive and improve myself, not only professionally but as a human being as well. I made some great friends here and had some lovely moments of joy. Through ups and downs, which I had to face here, l have evolved with much more wisdom and courage to face the world and conquer it. Thanks to my college, teachers and management for making this. journey of mine such an emiohing experience and giving me the moments that I would cherish for life .. Thank you

Fqur yeal'S passed away at HIET in ihe blink of an eye. Seems like it was just yesterday that I took admission in this institute. HIET has given a lot to its students and I am no exceplion. When I jojned HIET I was uncertain about what I vvanted or expe.cied from a college. lnitiallyihe entire feel and e1wironment of a big city had me Intimidated but it was the faculty members. students and even members of management, who made meas if I was al home.

I still remember the fresher function, cultural and technical fests . the various sports events that ·made my stay here memorable. Notto forgetti<le various workshops, seminars and p.-oject work we did here that helped Increase our skills both academically and personally.

The opportunities provided to a student here are numetous be it training programs. int!;imshil'./s or placement activity. I woul\:I always be grat11rul for the huge support I received from eve!Y HIETian over the pastlour years. I am disappointed to miss out theindustJy mentorshlp prbg~am to be started tt\ls year which will oe a wondertul learning opportunity for the coming batches.

Wnat I remember most avidly is the time spent at the hostel. HIET boy8 hdstel Is a second home to me and I lack the words to ewress Its role in my development as an engineer. The time spent in watching matches wrth the hostellers. chats on the terrac&and basketball in the courts are the times that I will miss th&most.

So, I thank all my faculty members, friends and management for their contributions to my life and career. Also special 1hanks for letting me express my feelings about HIET.

H.l.E.T is a place where I got to learn a lot of things. As our parent taught us manners and how to live, my college taught me how to survive in between the professionals and face challenges. When I came to college I was young, unaware of the outside world. I expe<ienced a lot of things he<e which made me strong enough to stand in front of anyone and put forward my views. Its very well said:

People can take everything from you except the memories .. ........ !

Friends.Teachers.Classrooms,canteen and lots more. My college memories are everlasting. Friends who always stood w ith me rn any situa1ion. Teachers who always supported me. I am very thankful to my EC laculties for helping me. College proyided us different pli!tforms where we could show our talent.

I appreciate the effort of placement cell for making our dream come true. It's just like giving a birds space to lly. Also I ai:n thankful to Vihang sir and management for provid ing us all the facilities. I would summarize the e.xiJ8rlence of my coll1'!9e in tWo lfnes:

Mentors at the Launching Ceremony of Mentor Program at HIET Campus • The role of the mentor ls different from

that of an instructor or expert. A mentor seeks lo promote an atmosphere of trust, support and encouragement for the group. He creates two-way communication resulting into learning processes within the group.

• To mentor means to make easier, to guide others through a process. an experience. or a conversation.

• The mentor attempts to create a safe environment in which the participants feel comfortable and are able to shar.e their views openly and seek professional guidance for overall grooming.

• lnstltt,Jte bas identified total of 21 meritors from industry. They have agreed to guide the small groups of selected students through pecsonal meeting (once in evert month, e-mails and lelephones during prefixed time periods. Each of these mentors are with 12-15 years of expenence in industry.

CROSS-ROADS as 1he name implies is common ptatfom1 for all branches namely CS/IT /MCA. ME, EC/AEI, MBA to exhibit technical/managerial skills with the objective 1hat students get cross branch exposure. which is a must for solving real life problem In tl1e industry. Last year around 9 NCR based institutes had participated and prizes worth around Rs 2,50.000/- were distributed. The v ision and objectives • Te nourish and nurture student's hidden technical as well asadministra1ivetalents as national assets. • To inculcate professionalism and practical oriented approach to studying the engineering coursas which will raise

the level of projects work by B.Tech, MBA & MCA s tudents. • To fcicus on practical projects which have ~pplication in real life (home automation system, accident reporting w ith

global positioning etc.) It is a two day event-Day 1 : Students exhibit technical projects which are judged. Experls from industry/ academia visit and encourage

!he students for innovations and improvements In their exhibits. Day 2 : Parents are visited to explore the exhibits. Prizes are distributed for best projects and ROCK BAND perform
