Brain storming.Brainstorming is the process for developing creative solutions to problems. It is the most widely adopted process .

Leads to social facilitation; triggering of original ideas which would not have crossed the mind’s, being in a solitude environment.

Evidence.An experiment conducted by Paulus and Yang compared the brain generation of a brain writing group with a nominal group.It was done on randomly assigned unacquainted first year university students.Initially, the brain writing groups generated more and unique ideas. In the 2nd and 3rd stages also they were ahead.

Conclusion was that cognitive and social stimulation may occur when production blockage and social loafing are minimized.

brain storming, brain writing is typically a more structure and

constrained process.

When brain writing, groups can potentially generate better

ideas.
