Bharati Vidyapeeth, the parent organization of this University is one of the

largest educational organizations in the country. It has 180 educational units under its

umbrella including 80 Colleges and Institutes of conventional and professional

disciplines. The Department of Human Resource Development, Government of India

on the recommendations of the University Grants Commission accorded the status of

"Deemed to be University" initially to a cluster of 12 units of Bharati Vidyapeeth.

Subsequently, 17 additional colleges / institutes were brought within the ambit of

Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University wide various notifications of the Government

of India. Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University commenced its functioning on 26th

April, 1996.

The status of University was given to a cluster of these colleges and institutes in appreciation of the high level of their

academic excellence and for their potential for further growth. During the last 22 years or so, the University has achieved higher

pinnacle of academic excellence and has established its reputation to such an extent that it attracts students not only from various

parts of India but also from abroad. According to a survey conducted by Association of Indian Universities, this University is one among

the top ten Universities in the country preferred by the overseas students for admissions. At present, there are more than 602 overseas

students from 45 countries on the rolls of constituent units of this University.

During the last 22 years, there has been tremendous academic expansion of the University. It now conducts in all 290

courses in its constituent units, of them 107 are Post Graduate, 40 are Under Graduate and 37 Diploma level and 14 are PG Diploma

level courses. 11 Fellowship and 5 certificate courses. All the professional courses which the University conducts such as those of

Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering etc., have approval of the respective statutory councils, viz., Medical Council of India, Dental Council

of India, All India Council for Technical Education etc.

The University is a throbbing center of research activities and has launched Ph.D. programmes in 79 subjects and M.Phil in

2 subjects. It has also introduced quite few innovative academic programmes such as Master of Optometry, M.Tech. in Nano

Technology etc.

The University's performance and achievements were assessed by the "National Assessment and Accreditation Council"

and it was accredited with a prestigious "A+" Grade in 2017. Some programmes of the constituent units such as Poona College of

Pharmacy, College of Engineering at Pune & the Institute of Management and Research, at New Delhi, have also been accredited by

"National Board of Accreditation". Three constituent units of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) are also the recipients of

ISO 9001-2001 certifications.

In 2017, in the assessment under National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), by Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, the

university is ranked 54th at National level among universities. Also its constituents units-i.e. Poona College of Pharmacy, Pune is

figured at 8th place, College of Engineering, Pune at 66th place, Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship Development, Pune

at 40th place and Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Information Technology and Biotechnology at 30th place at the national level.

Homoeopathic Hospital

Bharati Vidyapeeth's Homoeopathic Medical College was established on 10th May 1990, on the auspicious occasion of the

Silver Jubilee Day of the Bharati Vidyapeeth. It was earlier affiliated to University of Pune on a permanent basis. It is now a

constituent unit of Bharati Vidyapeeth University. The Homoeopathic Medical College is located in our Dhankawadi campus in a

well designed buildings.

The College building accommodates well-equipped laboratories, dissection halls, spacious demonstration halls and a library

with a reading hall facility. The Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses of the College are having permanent Recognation of

the Central Council of Homoeopathy, New Delhi and with capacity of 100 intake for Under Graduate and capacity of 30 intake in

Post Graduate.

In the Academic Year 2015-2016 Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Homoeopathic Medical College, Pune - 43 celebrated

SILVER JUBILEE year.

Aims & Objects

Post graduation course in the field of Homoeopathy is the highest step in this science. The objective of this course is to produce excellent

professional thinkers, practitioners, researchers and teachers in Homoeopathy. With special emphasis in the subject of their choice.

Govt. of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare; Dept. of AYUSH, New Delhi has accorded permission to our college to start P.G.

Courses in Homoeopathy [M.D.(HOM)] from the academic year 2006-2007 in five selected specialities with six (06) regular admissions in

each speciality.

Homoeopathic Medical College is one of the prominent colleges in the country. It has all the infrastructural facilities as specified by the

norms of Central Council of Homoeopathy, New Delhi. Our faculty consists of senior teachers, who are enthusiastic, experts in their

respective subjects and are student oriented.

The College maintains a herbal garden having more than 400 medicinal plants some of which are rare species.

The College Library is very spacious having more than 12949 volumes on Homoeopathic and allied Medicine along with

addition of 1986 P.G books including 247 titles. We also subscribe to important national and international periodicals and

scientific journals.

The College runs exclusive Homoeopathic Hospital with 100 bed strength which is approved by Pune Municipal

Corporation. Our OPD and IPD attracts large number of patients and students get good clinical exposure.

The college has accredited for Research & Development Center by Dept. of AYUSH (ISM & H) Ministry of Health &

Family Welfare New - Delhi. As a part of Research activity under R & D center. The college has undertaken many research

projects for which Govt. of India has sanctioned grants worth Rs, 25 lakhs,

The College not only provides better teaching and clinical facilities to the students, but also organizes various kinds of

academic activities including the state and national level seminars and workshops to enrich academic experience of our

students. Regularly urban & rural camps are organized & conducted including 4 rural camps at two different places (Yawat &

Bhor) every month since 1997. We are also running 12 peripheral OPDs in different areas within the vicinity of Pune. Benefits of

such camps are mainly for students & interns for imparting their respective clinical training. General public & patients are getting

more benefit of these camps, as they are conducted on basis of No profit No loss. These cases followed regularly on follow-up.

Re-Orientation programme in Obst. & Gynae. Sponsored by Ministry of AYUSH Govt. of India conducted in the college from

27th Sept. to 2nd Oct. 2010, successfully with grant of Rs. 3.5 lacks. Dept. of Ayush sanctioned 1.80 lacks Grant for Mother and

Child health care to this institute in Sept-2010.

Our Institute has been granted permission to run

M.D.(Hom.) P.G. Degree courses in 5 specialty

subjects by the Dept. of AYUSH, New Delhi from

the academic year 2006-07 onwards. First

batch of admitted students have also

completed the courses on the approved

subjects and Bharati Vidyapeeth University has

awarded M.D.(Hom.) qualification in the year 2009

(October) with high standard results. The said

M.D.(Hom.) qualification has been included in the

schedule of HCC Act, 1973 which is

recognized qualification for the purpose of

homoeopathic practice and to get various job

opportunity both at State Govt. and Central Govt.

the rural population within periphery of 25 to 50

km. which is covering 12 to 15 villages & treating

about 500 patients per week and getting more

exposure of patients of different conditions

about rural setup of treatment and to spread the homoeopathic treatment at social cause to the need

It is to mention here that the Central Government has published Gazette notification bilingual in the

Gazette of India for M.D.(Hom.) qualifications in the subjects of HMM, Practice of Medicine, Hom.

Repertory & Hom. Pharmacy as per S. O. No. 1521 dated 26 July 2010 which can be seen here at

an appropriate place. All M.D. (Hom.) Qualifications are included in Second Schedule of HCC Act. 1973.

RULES FOR ADMISSION TO POST GRADUATE DEGREE COURSES

M.D. (HOMOEOPATHY)

1. Courses subjects (Speciality Subjects) Specialities in which Post-Graduate Degree [M.D.(Hom.)] courses are available in the college.

Note :

1. T h e M . D . ( H o m . ) p r o g r a m m e ( f o r a l l s e a t s a s m e n t i o n e d a b o v e ) i s c o n d u c t e d o n a

full time basis

2. The Post Graduate courses are taught as per the Regulation of the Homoeopathy (Post Graduate

Degree course) M.D.(Hom.) (Amendment) Regulation 2016.

2. Foreign / N.R.I. / P . I . O / OCI / Institutional Quota:

Fifty percent seats are reserved for Foreign / NRI / PIO / OCI / Institutional Quota Category.

Any seats remaining vacant after allotment to Foreign/NRI/PIO/OCI Merit Students will be allotted to

Indian Students under Institutional Quota Category on the basis of Inter-se merit obtained by them in

the Merit List.

4. Eligibility for Admission

(1) No candidate shall be admitted to M.D.(Hom.) course unless he/she possesses the degree of:-

b) Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (Graded Degree) or equivalent qualification

in Homoeopathy included in second schedule to the HCC Act, 1973 (59), after undergoing

a course of study of not less than two years duration.

(2) The University or the authority prescribed by the Central Government or the State Government,

as the case may be, shall select candidates on merit of AIA-PGET-2018 for Post Graduate

Course.

a) Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery or equivalent qualification in Homoeopathy

included in second schedule to the HCC Act, 1973 (59), after undergoing a course of

study of not less than five year and six months duration including one year compulsory internship;

on or before 31st August 2018 and appeared in the AIA-PGET-2018


5. APPLICATION PROCEDURE

a) A candidate des i rous of taking a d m i s s i o n for the M.D.(Hom.) Post Graduate homoeopathy

courses is required to submit single prescribed online application form along with online form fee of

Rs.2,000/- (fee is non-re fundable)

The candidates should strictly follow the instructions while filling up the application form online, and

must read the instructions carefully before filling up the online application form given in Annexure 2.

e) An incomplete application form or an appl ication form which is not accompanied by necessary payment,

will not be e n t e r t a i n e d and processed.

f) The University will not be r e s p o n s i b l e for any d e l a y or loss of application / admission

card/counselling letter/any communication in transit. Such delay will not be condoned.

6. BASIS OF SELECTION

1. The s e l e c t i o n s h a l l be made s t r i c t l y on the basis of rank o b t a i n e d b y candidate in

AIA-PGET - 2018.

7. In c a s e of two or more candidates having equal merit following procedure shall be

adopted as a tie-breaker.

1. First, preference shall be decided on the basis of grand total of marks secured by the

applicant at the I, II and III BHMS examination. if the tie still persists.

2. The candidate with more aggregate marks (converted into percentage) at Third B. H. M. S.

Examination will be preferred if the tie still persists.

3. The Cand ida te with more aggregate m a r k s (converted into percentage) at Second

B. H. M. S. Examination will be preferred if the tie still persists.

4. The C a n d i d a t e with more aggregate marks (converted into percentage) at First

B. H. M. S. Examination will be preferred.

8. MERIT LIST

A) The merit list shall be displayed on the following websites:

The candidate has to login a t the website to view their individual result with their respective

counselling. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CANDIDATE TO SEE

It is not possible to send individual invitation for counselling to the candidates. It shall be the

responsibility of the individual candidate to see his own merit number and appear for the

counselling as ment i oned under po in t no . 10 .

9. The allotment of the subject will be done as per merit and depending upon the availability of seat

in a particular subject at the time of counselling of the candidate.

10. COUNSELLING AND ON-THE-SPOT-ADMISSION SESSION

1. The counselling and o n -the-spot admission session will be held at the Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed

to be University), Homoeopathic Medical College, Pune - Satara Road, Pune-411 043 as

per the following:

9.00 to 1.00 p.m. (Regular Quota)

2.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. (Foreign/NRI/PIO/OCI/Institutional Quota)

2. Only the candidate and one p a re n t /guardian will be allowed into the hall where counselling is held.

The candidates will be called in the order of their merit and o f f e r e d the seats a v a i l a b l e at that point in

time. The candidate will be p e r m i t t e d to choose any o f the s ea t s available when his/her turn

comes.

3. When all the seats in a given specality subject/course are filled, admission of students to that specality

subject/course will instantaneously cease and Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) will

not be responsible for non-availability of the seats and non-allotment to the rest of the candidates.

4. At the time of reporting for the counselling, the candidate is required to produce the documents

(original and two sets of photocopies) listed above in list of documents required at the time of

counselling and spot admission. If the candidate is admitted to any of the courses, these documents

will be retained by the University till he/she completes the branch. If the candidate fails to produce

the documents listed , he/she will instantaneously forfeit his claim for a seat.

5. Physical presence of the candidate at the counselling is mandatory. In case, if the candidate is

unable to attend counselling due to his/her health problem. He/She may send his/her

representative to attend counselling along with letter of authority with mentioning choice of

his/her specality subject/course. The choice of specality subject/course made by the

representative/candidate is final and binding and will not be altered later under any circumstances.

The format of letter of authority is attached as Annexure-I

6. The candidates who have come for counselling will have to finalise the admission by payment of

fees on the spot. Failure to attend the counselling or to pay the fees on spot and submission of all

necessary documents will result in automatic forfeiture of the claim of the candidates for the

selection.

7. In case the candidate does not want to continue the specality subject/course after payment of

fees he/she will have to request the Principal for cancellation of admission in writing.

8. The selected candidate will have to join as full time resident immediately and will not be permitted to

do any other job. If he fails to join the course within 15 days of the selection, his admission will

automatically get cancelled and he will not be entitled for any refund of fees.

9. Any legal matters a r i s i n g out of the total admission process of M.D. (Hom.) courses

through Merit List of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Pune-30 and it will be under

the Jurisdiction of courts at Pune, Maharashtra.

10. REFUND OF FEES

In case of cancellation of Admission the Refund policy will be as follows :

Rules r e g a r d i n g cancellation of admission and re fund of fee will be as per UGC norms; kindly

refer to the Notice Board at the time of counselling.

11. HOSTEL FEE


Hostel facility is available both for boys and girls. There are a few seats available in the hostel, which

will be allotted on f irst come first served basis.

The hostel fee should be paid b y Demand Draft drawn in favour of “ Warden, Ladies Hostel” for girls

and in favour of “ Warden, Boys H o s t e l ” f o r b o y s from any National ized Bank o r Bharati Sahakari

Bank a n d P a y a b l e at Pune.

12. DIFFERENCES OF OPINIONS DISPUTE WITH REGARD TO RULES

Differences of opinion and disputes arising in the interpretation and implementation of the clauses in

this brochure, if any, will be referred to the Vice-Chancellor of the Bharati Vidyapeeth ( Deemed to

be University), Pune and his decision shall be final and binding.

The admission process is subject to the final decision of the Govt. of India, Hon’ble courts and

respective councils.

General Instructions to fill online Application Form

How To Apply :

A applicant has to visit www.bvuniversity.edu.in and click on the link ‘application process for

admission to PG Homoeopathy ’

The applicant will be redirected to a page for registration.

The applicant has to click on “New Applicants Click Here” tab for registration and enter details.

The applicant should then click on the login tab using the login Id/e-mail address and password.

(Please remember to save the login credential with you for future reference till the admission

process is complete)

The applicant should then fill up all details in the online application form.

It is compulsory for the applicant to upload scanned image of

a) AIA-PGET-2018 Score card

b) Graduation Marksheet of B.A.M.S./B.H.M.S.

The applicant should verify the details filled in the online application form and click on

“submit” tab.

The applicant should click on “Payments” tab and proceed for payment so as to complete

application process. The payment can be made through credit card/debit card/Internet

banking.

The applicant should print the copy of application form and payment receipt for future reference

till the admission process is complete.

Other Guidelines

1) Applicants are advised in their own interest to apply online much before the closing date and

not to wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection / inability / failure to log

on to the website on account of heavy load on internet / website jam. Competent

Authority takes no responsibility for applicants not being able to submit their applications

online within the last date on account of a for said reasons or for any other reason beyond

the control of the competent Authority.

2) Any information submitted by an applicant in his / her application shall be binding on the

applicant personally and he /she shall be liable for prosecution / civil consequences in case
