On this 30th year of our existence, it is a matter of satisfaction and pride that what started as neighbourhood school has now become the Best School in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

During the past 30 years, the institution has created an environment and ambience that fosters learning, as it provides the students with opportunities to explore and grow through situations that challenge them to identify their strengths and reinforce them.

I take this occasion to congratulate one and all on this 30th year in the field of education for their strong sense of commitment, service and responsibility that has transformed this institution into an outstanding and significant temple of learning today. We have scored well in areas of Infrastructure, Facilities, Sports Amenities, Technology and Academics. The Committed Management, Dedicated Staff, Co-operative Parents and Skillful Students have come together to create such a successful school. We have won several awards consistently in the past few years and have been rated as the Best School in Hyderabad and also one of the Best Schools in South India. Widening Horizons“The heart of education is the

education of the heart”

To take the school to new heights, we are

committed to promoting our cherished tradition

of diligence and dedication among students and

teachers; adopting the humanistic approach to provide

quality education; nurturing in students a passion for

education; upholding the school ethos of simplicity;

widening students’ horizons in all aspects of life; and

enhancing teaching efficacy and fostering team spirit

among teachers.

Our endeavor is also to shape our students as the

models of India strongly attached to their time-tested

value system.

My heartfelt thanks goes to all the torch bearers

in the managing committee whose untiring work has

created 30 years of history in Jubilee Hills Public

School.

I extend my warm wishes to one and all to continue

this journey on to the road of excellence.

M. VaralakshmiPrincipal

Jubilee Hills Public School

Completion of the 30th year in education is a matter

of great pride for the JHPS family. The Title “Widening

Horizons” is very apt. Widening horizons not only reflects

the growth of the School itself from six students and one

Teacher to almost 3000 students and 170 teachers but

also the education imparted to thousands of students

who have crossed the threshold of the School and have

made a mark in the world by contributing to the building

of better society and world.

As Robert M. Hutchins has said, “Education is not

to reform students or amuse them or to make them

expert technicians. It is to unsettle their minds, widen

their horizons, inflame their intellects and teach them

to think……”

The dynamics of education are widening and unlike

the previous times where marks alone mattered

for success, today the students need all round

development with thinking skills, public speaking,

networking collaboration and team work. We at Jubilee

Hills Public School, have incorporated all these and more

into our teaching which is manifested in the wide array

of Awards received. We know that JHPS will continue its

quality contribution in the field of Education and leave a

mark in the world.

The Jubilee Hills Education Society started its first school thirty years ago at Jubilee Hills by the

name Jubilee Hills Public School. This inspirational journey continues...

Digital technology has revolutionised education and it was felt that the wifi generation of the 21st century will only relate to a tech savvy school, similar to the present school. Hence a second school with a six acre campus spread over lush green meadows at Rampally, near ECIL, Hyderabad was envisioned. The new full fledged campus will presently cater to classes LKG-V adopting the philosophy of ‘Tradition and Technology’. The JUBILEE HILLS PUBLIC SCHOOL at Rampally will become operational by June 2016 with the campus becoming functional by the end of April 2016.

Being veterans in the field and continuing the legacy of spreading education; JUBILEE HILLS PUBLIC SCHOOL Rampally will render its services to the students residing in the neighbouring areas like Singapore city, Sainikpuri, A.S. Rao Nagar, Kushaiguda, Dammaiguda, Bandlaguda, Keesara, Moulali, etc.

The school envisages providing the best opportunities to students in its

endeavour to make them responsible citizens of tomorrow by developing their holistic personality. Learner engagement will be given utmost importance with hands on experience in the laboratories exclusively for languages and other subjects. The emphasis will be laid on Spoken English language skills to accommodate the growing demand for excellent communication in the global village.

The spacious 650 s.ft. classrooms will be provided with internet, intranet, I-boards, projectors and computers. The indoor Auditorium will serve as a

platform for the students to explore and demonstrate their talent. A large playground with Tennis, Cricket and Basket ball courts will ensure a physically fit regimen for students as well as prepare them for competitions.

Locker facilities for students to store books will ensure reduction of bag load. The school will provide an optional transport facility to the students on all working days in fixed routes. The library with modern amenities spread over an area of 2600 s.ft. will be kept open even during holidays.

It is accepted that a well rounded education is the gateway to personal success. It sets students on the path to lifelong learning that enables them to succeed in a changing world. Through education, individuals can expand their minds and embrace new ideas and opportunities and at the same time, build better lives for themselves and their communities.

Quality education cannot be imparted unless the educators are empowered to be tech savy and well versed with the latest pedagogical practices. One of our key focuses is on faculty development to enhance excellence in academics and also inspire confidence and trust in the students.

We have made our mark and left an indelible impression in the field of Education. With this goal fulfilled, the school forges ahead into the future with dreams of accomplishments yet to be fulfilled.

As teachers, we need to build diverse classes since we cater to diverse group of learners. Hence it is an obligation to prepare a lesson plan incorporating strategies for diverse learners which will enhance students’ ability to think and apply their knowledge.Gender Sensitisation, Evaluation topics were also discussed.

After attending this knowledgeable training the Principal, Ms.M.Varalakshmi and P. Deepa of Mathematics Department, conducted a two day workshop in Obul Reddy High School for 100 Maths teachers from A.P. and Telangana.

A workshop on Gender Sensitization was conducted on 29th January, 2016 for the teachers

by the Principal, Ms. M.Varalakshmi in Auditorium.

The objective of the workshop was to clarify the meaning of gender, foster gender awareness and gender sensitivity in our day-to-day life and unravel the interplay of gender relations and gender issues in classroom spaces.

The workshop emphasized on the importance of gender equality and how men and women enjoy the same rights and opportunities across all sectors of society, including economic participation and decision-making, and that the different behaviours, aspirations and needs of men and women are equally valued and favoured.

The workshop successfully enriched the teachers leading to the realization of the need to bring about a quantum change in the mindset which sees man as the bread winner and woman as the home maker.

Teachers can promote gender equity and challenge stereotypes by giving examples to students for Eg:‘ A female soldier’ or ‘A male nurse.’ The students should also be made aware about the contribution of the females in the development of the society and how the two genders can co-exist.

The workshop concluded with ‘Role Play’ on Gender Sensitization by the teachers of various departments.
