Rachel GrimesNational Diploma and Higher National

Diploma in Music Production

Rachel is currently Tour Assistant with the Kaiser Chiefs

I wanted to go down the route of a ‘hands on’ music course, and North West Regional College was offering exactly what I was looking for. I was impressed with the range of facilities available, including an industry standard recording studio! We also had great tutors with endless knowledge and experience in their field.

I really enjoyed spending time in the recording studio; working closely with extremely talented musicians in my class, and the opportunity to experiment with different sounds and genres. I gained the skills and confidence to run my own projects such as showcase gigs, as well as undertaking music industry placements.

The knowledge I have gained has stuck with me - it put me in great stead for going on to complete my degree, and successfully securing employment within the music industry. I would really recommend this College - there is a great atmosphere and it’s a fun place to learn!
