The Company came into fruition when Mr. Ravindra Prabhudesai and his father Mr. Vamanrao Prabhudesai turned their vision into reality. The idea was to create a dynamic organization; where hard work, integrity, honesty & improvisation would be the guiding principles. Today we are one of the top manufacturers & exporters in FMCG industry offering an array of Premium quality products under the flagship brand Pitambari. Starting with FMCG products in Homecare Division, now the organization has Healthcare, Agricare & Foodcare Divisions.

For a company that derives its name from a legendary powder that cleans brass/copper products being part of the post-modern healthcare & homecare segments has not been easy. From a meager start in the backyard of his house, Ravindra Prabhudesai, MD of Pitambari is now a most popular persona amongst the social, cultural circuits of Maharashtra! His highly spiritual inclination helps him stand tall amongst adversities if they come as part of life! And now Ravindra Prabhudesai wants to create a benchmark of the toughest mile into the big league with all his products not just nationally but internationally.

In a small period of 30 years, 'Pitambari' has achieved its intended business of Rs.100 crores, with the help of competent team members at every level. We have adopted the Total Quality Management system and our all the manufacturing units having received ISO 9001–2008 certifications from DNV, Netherlands. The Company has 5 manufacturing units located at different sites, having excellent infrastructure, work environment and resources apart from our own fully equipped R&D centre. Pitambari R&D center started from May-2003 & Departments of scientific research, Govt. of India has certified it as a recognized R&D center. The R&D Campus is located at Rabale, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, with a built-up area of about 10,000 square feet in R-612 Industrial Area.
