DUSTECH is in fabrication of SPIRAL, OVAL & RECTANGULAR DUCTS & duct products in galvanized iron steel, aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel, fire rated ducting, linear acoustic insullation and alluminium clading with an option of painting & powder coating.

We build and install various types of liner and inner walls including solid inner wall, perforated inner wall with glass wood, nitrile and sound attenuating cores.

Rectangular Duct

‘DUSTECH' Rectangular duct and fitting are factory fabricated to furnish with a high quality line

of products in a broad range of standard size, to minimize field – assembly/fabrication cost.

Rectangular duct is supplied in lengths upto 4 feet.

Longitudinal seams are typically made with Pittsburgh lock in transverse joint S&C cleat joint,

four – bolt connectors are available.

DUSTECH – Rectangular duct work can be shipped completely assembled or knock down in 'L'

shape. 'DUSTECH' standard rectangular products are fabricated to meet SMACNA, ASHRAE

duct connection/fabrication standards. We can also custom fabricate rectangular duct work for

commercial and industrial application according to consultant specification.

This table gives minimum duct wall

thickness (gage) for use of flat type

joint systems. Plain S and h e m m ed

as connectors are limited to 2 in. wg

maximum. Slips and drives must not be

less than two gages lighter than the duct

wall nor below 24 gage. Double S slips

must be 24 gage for ducts 30 in. (762

mm) wide or less and 22 g a g e for

greater width.

Duct Assembly Arrangement

Apply sealent over the corner if

small gap occur at the center of the

Duct and TDF Flange. Place on prepared

Flange together and ensure the

alignment by inserting the carrage bolt

and then Duct need to be clamped by

the standard Dustech cleats at every

interval of 6” as shown in the figure

with the help of Dustech brouch tool.

Ensure not to use hammer for

installation of cleat which may caused

damage to the Duct.

To install the TDF Corner, hook first leg of Corner

under flange. Snap the second leg of TDF Corner into

place on the duct flange using hammer.

The Corner may also be installed by setting the

duct upon its End so the flanges are flat against a floor,

and then tapping the Corner into place with a hammer.

The floor supports the flange prevant damage by the

procedure.

The prepration is required on only one end of

each Duct to be joined. Fix the continious length of

Gasket on the center of the TDF Flange on all four side.

DUSTECH Spiral DuctINSTALLATION INSTRUCTION

Spiral pipe must be cut at straight right angle and deburred.Make sure the spiral pipe or large end fitting is pushed all the way in and up to thegroove of the small end fitting.Secure the slip connection together by using 1/8” sheet metal screws or rivets.Place the screw or rivets 1”-1½” from the edge of the duct or the large end fitting toavoid cutting the gasket.

Oval Ducting and PipingDustech Spiral Flat – Oval duct is machine formed From Dustech

Round Spiral Duct. The flat oval shape is specifically designed for

low head room and restricted space locations which cannot

accept round duct.

1) The system is first designed on the basis of circular duct.

2) Where space limitations require the use of oval duct, the circular duct is converted to its equivalent Rola

duct Spiral Flat-oval duct by using Table 1. This table has been arranged in a manner that make its uses

similar to tables for rectangular duct and should be used in exactly the same way.

3) Spiral Flat-oval duct is made only in the sizes listed in tables 1. For Maximum economy, select your flat-oval

duct size from Table 1.

Flat-Oval Duct DesignThe design of a duct system utilizing flat-oval duct follows the same procedures used with rectangular duct.

Standard Length : 4, 8, 10 and 12ft. length

The Spiral Flat-Oval has considerably less flat surface than rectangular duct. If the springy structure of flat-oval is adequately dampered. It has less surface susceptible to vibration. Thus, properly designed flat-oval duct can be superior in performance to rectangular duct.The characteristics of flat-oval duct parallel to those of circular-shaped duct are closely enough that slip-joint couplings can be used. Slip-joint couplings provide easier sealing against air leaks at the joints, a significant improvement over other types of duct connections.

There is an unfortunate tendency to make a surface application of sealer over a joint and assume that this is a

permanently satisfactory solution to the sealing problem. This is not the case, as surface-applied sealing has

provided that the sealer must be protected by metal, such as within a slip-joint, in order to be considered a

permanent seal.

The spiral flat-oval coupling and joint permits the use of the same experience-proven materials and techniques

for sealing that have been so successful in circular duct joints.

Under certain size and pressure conditions, both flat-oval and rectangular duct must be braced and reinforced

against deflection.

Air AttenuatorDustech make duct attenuator which are easy to install and are used in systems to

absorb sound. These are manufactured in galvanised sheet metal with 50mm

Rockwool sound absorption material with operating temperature upto 100ºC.

Flexible BellowDustech make flexible connector that eliminates duct system noise and vibration for Industrial & Commercial application. It is used between the machinery and duct work. It is an airtight, flexible joint that isolates vibration to the source and reduce noise inside the duct system.

Brouch ToolBrouch tool pulls duct section together and holds then in place while freeing both hands to align and install slip cleats.

Dustech make Multilouver dampers are used for air flow control for either supply or exhaust air.

DUSTECH DUCT range of Products

Corner“DUSTECH” TDF Corners are fabricated from special machines. TDF Corners are

used to align the duct by manual insertion process. It is formed for the fixing of

3/8” carrage bolt. It is available in variety of metals..

Cleat“DUSTECH” Cleats are fabricated from 22 SWG Gi Sheet. It is

standard Length of 6” and installed at a interval of I50 mm.

Tie Rod“DUSTECH” threaded bars are used to hang the duct at the roof Height with the help of fasteners or clamps.

Gasket“DUSTECH” Gaskets offer Easy-to-use sealent to provide a mixture

and vapour-tight seal and to prohibit any leakages/losses in the duct. It is a self adhesive closed cell Industrial foam comprising of

neoprene, POC and nitrile.

W’ Bracket“DUSTECH” Brackets are used to support the duct from the bottom and is easy to complete the Installation on time.

Spacer Bar“DUSTECH” Space Bar are used to support the ducts from bottom

and give a rigide installation

DUSTECH Guarantess its products to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one

year from the date of delivery from the factory, provided motors are properly installed with overload

protector. Dustech agrees to repair or replace defective parts or part to e returned to the factory, all

transportation charges prepaid. Dustech does not guarantee against abrasion, corrosion or erosion.

Dustech shall not be held responsible for any charges in connection with the removal or replacement of

alleged defective equipment nor for incidental consequential damages.
