Dear fellow Soundaryans,

It is with Divine providence that we are able to celebrate 25 years of building trust and relationship in nurturing solidarity and core values.

I strongly believe that the sole purpose of education is to establish human dignity and high self esteem. As such, we pool all our resources to provide opportunities for moral, cultural, physical, intellectual and spiritual growth of the learners. I am indeed fortunate enough to have a dedicated team of both teaching and non-teaching faculties who are instrumental in materializing the dreams of the young learners. We can add ‘value to our profession, only when we work for the holistic development. I understand that passionate commitment & pioneering tasks define Soundaryan culture.

My Journey; My Passion:

25 years ago, a tiny spark of making a difference in the society ignited my passion for opening a temple of learning that can

cater to the needs of a semi urban belt. Thus Soundarya Educational Trust was formed and Soundarya School took its humble birth with a total of 64 students and 06 staff members. My strong determination and optimism coupled with the unrelenting support of all my well wishers and family, I could transform Soundarya School to Soundarya Group of Institutions within a small span. Today I am contented that our group of institutions delivers holistic education to 5000 plus young aspirants. I know, still I have miles to go….. My passion for 3C’s Challenge, Compete and Conquer makes my spirit always alive and keep me going…..

Motivating people & students to be leaders is something that I have always strived for. I always take meticulous care to create the conducive climate where there is willingness to work and learn. After the initial struggle of establishment, I realized that the best investment in life is to impart quality education that too at an affordable fee. Thus, I became focused towards devoting time and space in uplifting the face of our society.

The transition in the ‘teaching – learning’ phenomenon

Obviously, I can notice tremendous reformations in today’s teaching – learning phenomenon. During my school days the classes were

teacher centric. But today it is completely student focused. Classroom climate of my time was that of a kind of restrictions and restitutions. Again, you are all fortunate children, as you are enjoying a fear free, friendly and digitally advanced ambience and classrooms.

Destination Digital….Innovations and inventions in the present day teaching technology is a welcome thought. We live in a tech-savvy era where the entire world comes to your finger tips in no time. The all new buzz word today is the “Digital Globalization”. And if you want to compete at the global level, you need to be digitally well equipped.

The more we do inventions the more the impact…. The three I’s of Ideate…. Innovate.... Implement.... is the digital mantra of the day that can lead both Soundaraya and Soundaryans to own a place in the digital map of the world.

Soundarya completing 25 years of sustained excellence is a momentous moment for me to share with you all. We have carved a niche of our own in the field of imparting holistic education and is indeed a gratifying news.

According to me, there is nothing more nourishing than the unifying thread that binds all the Soundaryans in a single knot. All through the last 25 years we could feel the pulse of immense joy and pride in all the assignments we have undertaken so far….

Very delightfully and proudly I would like to place on record the gist of Sylvan Soundarya archives. To accomplish great things we must

not only act but also dream, not only plan but also believe. Yes! The birth of Soundarya Educational Trust in 1993 is undeniably a golden moment in the annals of Soundarya.

By virtue of the office of our visionary Chairman, we could materialize our plan of upgrading our status to Soundarya composite PU College in the year 2005, yet another bright jewel at the cap of Soundarya. Thus the blooming of Soundarya composite PU College urged our desire to establish a new campus so as to enable the young aspirants to unlock their personal potential and excellence by perusing degree and professional courses.

The christening of the third wing of our trust as Soundarya Institute of Management & Science in 2007 is the speaking evidence of our product of experience. With the exceptional vivacity of our Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, the long felt desire of offering CBSE stream also fulfilled in 2014.

Again, with the iconic professional ethics and commitment of our luminaries, we could script enamors success in opening Soundarya college of law in 2016.

Today as we monumentalize 25 years of imparting comprehensive education we are extremely glad to reminisce the glorious past as we could spin many landmark events and achievements not only in the academic domain but also in the non-academic spheres.

The completion of twenty-five years is indeed a major milestone in the life of

an educational institution. Soundarya School, since its foundation in 1993, has earned very considerable appreciation for providing value-based education and for imparting the ideals of academic excellence, sense of discipline and high moral and ethical values, leading to the development of integrated personalities. The motto of the school is reflected in its faith that education is a process of awakening individual potential to creative knowledge inculcating in them the desire to excel in various spheres. It is extremely noteworthy that the institution considers it to be ‘its duty to nurture its students as sensitive people with strong values, who will leverage their individual achievements to strengthen the fabric of the community, the nation and the planet’. completing 25 years of its successful journey. It is a fantastic experience for me to witness our school’s magnificent achievements with in such a short period of times.

Speaking about the nursery wing, my heart swells with pride to applaud the fantabulous opportunities and facilities we have today to rediscover the latent potentials of our tiny tots. We as a team formulate an ideal equation of fun and frolic along with the observation skill in the formative years of schooling itself. We do have an enriching calendar of defining moments of recreation, a perfect blend of values and ethics, showcase of cultural diversity and the smart way to green dreams. In addition, orientation and faculty enrichment program too regularly figure in our curriculum. Further we have plans to expand the toddlers zone by exploring the science of versatility in all its splendour. Real learning does not mean just mastering the basics of reading and writing. It must help the students enhance their individual talents and gifts. Soundarya is a perfect platform for the

students to explore and discover the things of their interest. Their skills are equally honed at scholastic and co scholastic areas so that our students get well equipped for the technologically advanced world that they are going to face as adults.

Every year Soundarya Primary and Middle School is coming up with various innovative programmes and competitions like Cosplay, Caught Reading, Mathalica, Geo Bee, Daan Utsav, Value Education Week, I T Talent Competitions etc to ensure the holistic development of the students.

Introduction of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) pattern of assessment and incorporating academic related novel strategies like Quality Circle Time, Readers Theatre, English Digital Language Lab with Wordsworth software, Aryabhatta Techno Math Lab will certainly create curiosity among students in learning the concepts leading to higher order thinking.

To promote and nurture the true spirit of sportsmanship, Soundarya provides ample opportunities for the sports lovers through several indoor and outdoor games with best facilities. We had the privilege of hosting various competitions from Cluster level to National level. It is a matter of great pride for us to see our Star athletes shining at State and National levels.

Our extracurricular coaches and instructors of sports and other disciplines like Keyboard, Bharathanatyam, Drums etc are putting their heart and soul in making the students reach their optimum level of skill acquisition.

It is the principal responsibility of every citizen to serve the nation in one way or the other. Our Scouts and Guides are actively participating in service oriented programmes with the intensity of patriotic feeling. They attend camping and trekking programmes with a great zeal. These activities help our Scouts and Guides build up confidence and leadership qualities. They can grow with self discipline and can be self reliant too. This year some of our Scouts and Guides are going to receive Rajya Puraskara Award from the Governor of Karnataka which will be a prestigious moment for all of us.

The supreme aim of our institution is to enable the new age aspirants to transform their academic goals into worthy career achievements. As such, we harness the creative and intellectual

potential of our students by expanding perpetual perspectives. As the Principal, I have been shouldering the responsibilities of taking Soundarya ever forward on the path of progress and achievement. The pedagogical learning environment, a dynamic change is being implemented to add value to the educational process resulting in measurable outcomes, of students’ performance.

Experiential learning: Students can “reach out beyond the walls of their classrooms such as, to interact with other students, other teachers, and renowned authors, scientists and experts to enhance their learning”. Exposure to students in various cultural activities, sports, seminars, projects, science forum, commerce club, NCC, NSS, NGC etc. make them socially responsible. Visit to industries, research institutes and techno – cultural fest “Esperanza” enabled the students to metamorphose their inherent talent and inclinations to meet their expectations & serve the nation.

Classes for competitive examinations such as NEET, JEE, are being conducted by eminent resource persons. This has resulted in securing good ranks and students have been succeeded in securing admissions in reputed institutions across the country. Commerce students have also been guided to excel in their streams as well as to take up professional courses like CA, CPT etc.

Reinforcing the method of teaching by innumerable remedial classes, frequent interactions with the parents, counselling the students, are the testimony to our commitment and vision.
