SANITATION

The Sanitation Department functions under the direct supervision of Senior Sanitary Inspector.His office is located at the AMx Chowk, Camp Bhingar.

The Sr. Sanitary Inspector/Sanitary Inspector is present at Cantonment WorkshopiCivit area from6.00am to 8.30am & at Cantonment Offrce from I I am to 1.30 pm & 3.00pm to 5.45 pm except secondand fourth Saturday and public holidays.

SANCTION OF BUILDING PLAN:For approval ofbuilding plans, a person may contact the Senior Sectional Engineer / Sectional

Engineer on any working day ( except 2'd & 4t Saturday ) during working hours.

Building plan for construction ofhouse / addition or alteration to an existing house is required tobe made in quadruplicate ( 4 copies ). One copy out of these will be on tracing cloth. In aorder to avoiddelay in scrutiny ofbuilding application, as applicant is required to ensure that complete and correctinformation is provided in the prescribed proforma and on plan.

civil area in Cantt is restricted to ONE only & outside notified civil area, bungalow area is 0.50only / for bungalow l0 o/o increase in existing plinth area for kitchen , verandha only.

6. The application should be duly singed by the Holder of occupancy Rights ( HOR) / owner/leassee .

7. The lease will not be expired till date.

In case no intimation regarding the rejection / approval ofplan is received within dalsmentioned above as applicanl / owner / HOR may meet the CEO or sent a w tten letter by registered ADin favour of Chief executive officer, Cantonment Board Ahmednagar indicating the date of submission ofbuilding application.

The building plan sanction as per Govt Land policy revised by time to time and execution ofindenture of admission deed for old grant sites/ leasehold site / bungalows.

while submitting the building application with plans in the offrce the scrutiny fees be paidimrnediately.the development charges residential & commercial and land use for stacking of buildingmaterials will be pay as per Board resolution revised time to time. Undertaking will be submittedregistered with Notary, Ahmednagar stating that the work will be executed as per sanction plan.

For regularisation / other matters is being taken as per order ofBoards.

WATER SUPPLY

The Water Supply Department functions under the direct Supervision of Senior SectionalEngineer for Sadar Bazar ald Civil area of Cantonment Board, Ahmednagar.His office is located at theCantonment Board Office, Cantonment Ahmednagar and contact number 2326008- Extn 19 and 22.

Water Supply in bulk is received by Cantonment Board, Ahmednagar though MilitaryEngineering Service , Ahmednagar which was taken from MIDC Ahmednagar .The MIDC having plantfor water purification. The MES & MIDC both maintain its own pump & sump house, overhead tanksand distribution system. The per capita water supply per day is 50 lits.

Water is supplied to Cantonment area where water pipe lines been provided by the CantonmentBoard Ahmednagar. Th€ MES directly pumping the water to Cantonment 02 overhead tanks located inSadar Bazar , near Datta Mandir Bhingar & 01 reservior at Bhingar takadi and same will be distributedby gravity to all publics in Cantt area.

Connections to individual houses are provided only in such cases where disfibution pipelineshave been laid by the Canlonment Board and water is supplied by Cantonment Board.

The Cantonment Board collecting the water bills in bungalow area where MES have given thewater connections. The water charges only recovered by Cantt Board as a agent.

COMPLAINTS

In case the complaints are not attended to within stipulated period any resident of Cantonmentcan send the complaint in writing to O.S. or CEO.

I Complaint regarding leakage in main /distribution water supply

Shall be attended within 48 hours after receipt ofcompliant & material approval fiom CEO

2 Complaint regarding repairing ofBore wells Shall be attended within 48 hours after receipt ofcompliant & material approval from CEO

'',,ATER CONNECTIONS :

A resident of Cantonment area who is residing in a house, which is assessed for the purpose ofproperty tax, can apply for water connection. For this he/ she required to submit application. To avoiddelay in processing the application, an applicant for a new water connection may ensure lhat :

a) The house is recorded in his / her name / tenant should NOC from owner/ HORb) There are no any tax dues of Cantonment Board.c) There is no encroachment, no unauthorized construction, no change ofpurpose etc in subject site.d) The prescribed form for applying the water connections is available in the office at the cost of

Rs.50/-e) For construction work no water connection will be given.f) For commercial purpose, hotel, shops etc who is running as per Cantonments Act 2006 & taking

a licences for business, a water connection will be vided on double normal flat rates.

PAYMENT OF WATER BILLS :

Bills for water charges are issued once in a year. The payment by cash can be made only with thecashier/Tax Collector at Cantonment Board Office who is authorized to issue 48 receipt which is properreceipt for payment ofany revenue / tax / charge to Cantonment Board.

In case the cheque submitted in Cantonment Board office, Ahmednagar only after clearances the4-B receipt will be issued.

ln case amount payable in water bill is disputed by any resident, he/ she may meet the SeniorSectional Engineer / Sectional Engineer / SRC/ Tax clerk between I l.00AM to 1.00 PM on anyworking day.

STREET LIGHTING:

The Street Lighting in Cantonment area is maintained under the direct supervision of SectionalEngineer. The office of supervisor for streetlight is located in Cantonment Board office. CantonmentBoard has provided nearly 637 Nos of 7Owatt Sodium Vapour Lamps, 22 Nos of Tube Light fittings, 8

Nos of 400 watt flood light fitting, l7 Nos of highmast fitting, I 14 Nos CFL fitting, & 22 Nos tube lightfitting, in the area ofCantonment for street lighting. The Board is maintaining the same.

Cantonment Board is maintaining the roads in the area of Cantonment. The filling of pot holes,patch repairs are carryout by the Cantonment Board according to time bound programme.

MAINTENANCES OF PARKS :

The Cantonment Board maintains three parks named Shivaji Park, Lord Guttam Budha SmrutiVan Jogging Park, Anasaheb Shinde V Garden. ln Jogging Park some land developed with the help ofCo-operative Pathasastha / bank.

DRAINAGE MINOR REPAIRS :

Action is being taken within 03 dals by site inspection & approval for purchase material fromCEO and procure of material from Store keeper.

Action is being taken by putting item in Board and work carried out in Annual Maint work fromlime to time.

Action is being taken afier approval of SI.HQ Ahmednagar for green trees and for dry / fallentrees action has been taken within 20 days from receipt ofcompliant / site inspection in Civil area.

For ARMY area action is being taklen by DEA,Ahmednagar OR DEO, Pune circle, Pune as perrules position.

DISASTER MANAGEMENT :

Notice is being served to owner / occupant for removal of dangerous building / portion as perCantts act 2006. Also any accident / occussion, action being taken through disaster managementcommittee .

MUTATION OF PROPERTIES

After a person has purchased a property in the Cantonment area he/she is required to submitapplication to cantonmcnt Board office for mutation of his/her name in tax record. Please note that NOCof the Cantonment Board is Mandatory for Sale/purchase ofany property in the Cantonment area.

The bills for taxes are issued evil in a year the pa).rnent can be done in the form ofCash/Cheque/Demand Draft. A person making payment in cash will issued receipt by Cashier/Tax

collector. This receipt is called 4-B receipt.

GRANT OF LICENSES :

Application for trade licemes in the Cantonment area are processed and the NOC & licenses are

issued by the Cantonment Board on recommendation of the Senior Executive Medical Officer./SSVSE,'RMO.

REGISTRATION OF BIRTH AND DEATH & MARRIAGE:

Cantonment Board Executive Officer is appointed as Registrar of Birth and Death & marriage forthe residents of Cantonment area. The Birth and Death & Marriage record of the entire Cantonment area

is maintained by Cantonment Board OIfice.Biah and Death Certificate shall be issued within three working days from the date of receipt of

duly completed application for cases which are current and are not more than one year old.

SCHOOL:o Ahmednagar Cantonment Board is running following pre-primary, primary and secondary
