Brookewood &

Established in 2003, The Avalon School brings the spirit of adventure and friendship to boys, grades kindergarten through twelve, in an independent day school featuring a challenging liberal arts curriculum. The school seeks to cultivate in its students a sense of intellectual freedom and personal responsibility; to foster the gifts of faith and culture that are within each boy’s grasp; and to help them fulfill the deep desire to live a noble life that resides in all men.

Brookewood, an independent school located in Kensington, MD, seeks to help parents form their daughters into educated, cultured, pious, cheerful, and adventurous young women in a program oriented around the learning styles of girls. The curriculum is rooted in the Western tradition, where girls read the classics, recite poetry, explore the world, and graduate as confident young women.

He will also gain hands-on experience of Roman culture. Activities include a field trip, ancient sports, military drills, and daily snacks of Roman cuisine. Each boy will also make his own scutum, or Roman shield.

And take a peek at rare views beyond his worlds at the man himself.
