year since 1957, assesses more than 3000

products of more than 1000 producers.

Different shapes and colors add motion to living spaces. The Water Jewels Series, which was created by the Italian designer Matteo Thun, together with the VitrA Design Team, was also designed with this purpose. To be able to carry the brightness and colors to the bathroom…

The Italian architect Matteo Thun is known as one of the ‘design gurus’ of Italy. As one of the founders of Memphis, the Italian design group, in 1980s, he worked with many design experts including Ettore Sottes throughout his career. Since he opened his own studio in 1984, Thun has undersigned designs that have always focused on ‘aesthetics, economics and technological sustainability’ ranging from faucets to hotels.

Practical and convenient tall unit with shelves and drawers. All T4 furniture units are available in thermoform and lacquered materials and 6 different color options.

With their curved shapes, bowls add a soft touch to the furniture, while the

washbasin unit provides an easy and practical storage

space.

We did not design the water resistant glass counters of T4 just to get an

aesthetic appearance. We also wanted you to save time while cleaning.

The faucets, designed by Indeed, carry the cascading

flow feature making you feel on your skin the

relaxing effect of the water.

We know how important storage spaces are for

bathrooms. Therefore, we have placed a unit with

shelves under the bathtub in the T4 Series.

Another practical solutions of T4 is the towel hanging

unit placed under the washbasin. This detail is a great example for the

importance of small touches in the bathroom interiors.

You will not be able to see any signs of the assembly on

the wall-hung WC. That is because the hidden assembly

tools of the T4 WC hide these marks

with care.

What is Mineralcast?

Its technical name is mineral casting. It is produced in Germany as a composite

material of high quality and stability. 80% of Mineralcast is comprised of natural minerals such as marble, sand and quartz, and 20%

is comprised of a special resin. And it gains brightness and color with the colored resin

which is painted on as the final layer.

Tips - Bathrooms

FURNITURE

• There may be differences among natural materials used in bathroom furniture such as color tone, design pattern and they may have natural features such as lines, shine and discontinuity. These features which enhance the natural appearance of the materials were established by standards in order to offer you a harmonious, natural appearance.

• Since the bathroom furniture is wooden, its prolonged contact with water may result in deformation. Therefore, in case of water splashes, please dry the area immediately with a soft and dry cloth. Please do not use abrasive cleaning substances to clean the bathroom furniture.

• If the furniture is to be placed next to a bathtub or a shower tray, a shower cabin is ableftutely necessary.

• Attention should be paid to ensure adequate aeration. (Windows, air vents...)

• It should be made to sure that water is not splashed or the water should be immediately dried in case of splash.

• For cleaning our bathroom furniture, we recommend that you only use a cottonbased, damp cloth. The damp cloth should be applied without pressure on the surface by moving it up and down. Rubbing by pressure should not be performed. Any persistent stains can be removed using a sensitive cleaning material (diluted alcohol). (Please do not use abrasive cleaning materials!) Then, wipe and dry it with a damp cloth.

• In case of splash stains, the mirrors and glasses should be only be wiped with a soft and dry cloth to remove the drops. Any persistent stains such as oil stains, cosmetic product stains should be removed with soapy water and a leather cloth for glass. Chemical materials, glass cleaners or harsh cleaning materials should ableftutely be avoided! If the mirror is wiped with a damp cloth, it should be ensured that no drops are left on the edges. These areas should also be dried.

• Metal materials should be cleaned with a cotton-based, damp cloth and clear or soapy water, they should be dried with a dry cloth. Scratching and abrasive chemical substances should be ableftutely avoided.

CERAMIC SANITARYWARE

• The products should be protected adequately against damages during handling and storage.

• The products should be stored in a closed area to prevent cracking due to frost effect of being filled with water.

• Foreign materials (mortar, lime, fabric towel, paper towel, cigarette end, etc.) that will clog the flush channels should not be thrown in WC pans, squatting pans and urinals.

• The ceramic surfaces should be cleaned regularly by using liquid cleansers not containing acid and abrasive materials, for protecting the ceramic surfaces against stains caused by residues and foreign materials coming from in-building installation, water tank and utility water.

• Permanent stains will occur on the ceramic surfaces which are not cleaned for a long time.

• Ceramic surfaces should not be cleaned with cleansers containing acid and abrasive powder or with hard cleaning cleaners (wire, sponge, etc.)

• Ceramic products should not be exposed to thermal shocks (pouring extremely hot water).

• Sweating may occur on the outer surface of the cistern due to the difference between the temperature of the water inside the cistern and the ambient temperature. It is recommended to dry the water droplets regularly.

• With respect to sinks: Kitchen sinks are designed in a way to be durable and to meet the intended use. Therefore, the user will be responsible for the improper use of the sink. The users should observe the terms for maintenance and use to extend the lifetime of the product and to maintain its first day appearance. Kitchen sinks may be damaged in case of strong applications. It should be avoided to drop any object on the sink. When using such objects, any material decreasing the impact should be located on the waste set or into the bowl. Attention should be paid to prevent abrasion (scratch, breaking of particles, etc.) effect to be caused by the objects on the bottom of bowl or outer edge of the sink. Its contact with materials such as strong chemicals, metal cleaners, brush cleaners and paint removers should be avoided as they will affect the surface quality. Its contact with very hot utensils should be avoided (use suitable hot pad).

FAUCETS

• The products operate at a city water pressure that is between 0.5-5 bars.

• It is recommended that a filter be used at the inlet of plumbs to prevent debris and foreign materials in the water installation. The filters of angle valves should be cleaned periodically (monthly).

• The aerators of fittings should be cleaned periodically (monthly).

• The recommended temperature for use as per standards is 65 °C. It is not recommended to use water above this temperature.

• In case of a danger of frost that may emerge if the ambient temperature of products falls below +5 °C, the water inflow should be stopped at the main inlet, the water in the plumbing should be completely drained, aerators removed and faucets left in openposition.

• The air trapped in the pipes may be compressed and go above the standard plumbing pressure as the water is supplied again to the system following water cuts. To protect the products against this impact, a pressure-reducing valve should be placed on the main inlet.

• Acid-containing, lime-removing liquids, muriatic acid and dust removers, bleach, detergents containing sulfuric acid, nitric acid, hydrochloric acid and others or lime remover/decalcifier, chlorine-based bleaching agents, vinegar and vinegar acid should not be used since they harm the coating of the product. If such chemical materials are used for general cleaning in the place of your faucet, the area should be aired well and the faucets should not be subjected to the vapor of these chemicals. While cleaning the faucet, materials with abrasive/ scratching effects such as wire wools and hard cleaning sponges should not be used. The faucet surfaces should be cleaned with a soft cloth and soapy water and they should then be dried. To remove lime, persistent dirt residues that will occur on your faucet in the long term, you are recommended to use the cleaning product Maratem 209.

• If there is need for a part replacement due to failures outside the scope of warranty, original VitrA spare parts should be used for product performance purposes.

• Since the faucets with even surfaces would have more water remaining on their surfaces as compared to inclined faucets, they should be cleaned and dried more often.

• The products should not be subjected to ultraviolet and sun lights for a long time as it may cause yellowing/discoloration problems in polished products.

MINERALCAST

• All standard cleaning materials can be used with the products. Abrasive cleaning materials should not be used.

• To wipe the Mineralcast surfaces, soft, cottontextured clothes are recommended for use.

• Attention should be paid to assure that the water temperature never exceeds 65 degrees during use.

SHOWERING AREAS

• The cleaning of bathtubs and shower trays should be done using a liquid bathroom cleaner or lime remover and a soft cloth and warm water after every use. Otherwise, the soap products, dirt and limewater that did not melt form a thin layer on the acrylic.

• To clean the products, muriatic acid, abrasive detergent, soft soap and harsh/ scratching cleaning sponge should ableftutely be avoided.

• For the shower trays, the flush cover should be opened to remove the dirt deposited in the bowl. If the clog cannot be removed after using a drain opener, the VitrA Authorized Service should be contacted.

• For the wall-to-wall battery installations used in bathtubs, the output end of the battery should be minimum 15 cm long. The side surface inclination of a bathtub due to its side thickness and model should be taken into account. Using a battery with a short output end results in water splash and it prevents using a bucket for filling it with water.
