OnlineSuite – One IV therapy management platform for the whole hospital.The B. Braun Space OnlineSuite software platform o� ers a variety of applications that optimize the IV therapy process. The platform pro-vides existing and future software solutions that will be released inapplication packages. You are then free to choose the applications that are used in your hospital.

Once the Space OnlineSuite soft-ware is installed on a single com-puter or server, the applications can be accessed from any worksta-tion on the hospital network with a standard browser. As a result, work-stations can be added with ease.

Existing operating systems and databases can also be utilized, because the Space OnlineSuite is platform and database independent.

Due to the use of standardized tech-nologies, the Space OnlineSuite is suitable for customized communica-tion with the hospital information system or patient data management system. The B. Braun Space Online-Suite provides an innovative open IV therapy platform approach that can be integrated simply into an existing hospital IT environment. Drug Library Manager

The principle of the Drug Library ManagerThe new Drug Library Manager will open up completely new ways of de-signing your Drug Library for Space infusion pumps. It is harmonized with the structure of a hospital.

A Master DrugList contains the basic data of drugs provided by the phar-macy. The Master DrugList serves as a basis to create your own indi-vidual Care Unit DrugLists. It allows you to create your own Care Unit DrugList with individual therapy settings relevant to your area of responsibility. Once all Care Unit DrugLists are set up they can

be transferred to the pumps within seconds. Any Space infusion pump can then provide all individual Care Unit DrugLists, and that allows users to select the DrugList they need to use at the point of care. If the infusion pump is being used in another area you can simply change the Care Unit setting. All related medication data is then made available immediately. The new structure and the abilityto react quickly to any drug data changes, helps ensure patient safety.

The principle of Drug Library uploadsThe Drug Library Manager provides the upload of Drug Library � les from the Space OnlineSuite into the pumps. There are two versions of the Drug Library Manager that can be distin-guished by the applied technologies. By using the Drug Library Manager .WEB the upload will be performed via the local area network of the hospital whereas by working with the Drug Library Manager .USB no net-work is necessary. The system detects each single pump which is not up-to-date and updates it when the pump is turned o� .

Drug Library Manager .USBThe Drug Library � le can be easily transferred to the SpaceStations by simply copying the � le to a standard USB stick which is then inserted into the SpaceCom.

SpaceCom manages the � nal step and � nishes the process.

Drug Library Manager .WEBBy using the .WEB technology thesystem o� ers the opportunity to perform an upload centralized. In the � rst step you have to choose ina convenient way the SpaceComs /infusion pumps on which the Drug Library � le shall be uploaded. Afterwards the upload can be started and securely monitored due to the feedback and status system.

The principle of OneViewThe centralized OneView alarm display keeps you informed about what kind of alarm has gone o� at which bed and which drug is involved. The virtual beds presented in the soft-ware change color, i.e. green, yellow or red, to represent the alarm level. The remaining infusion time list shows you all predictable events, such as an infusion � nishing. All this information allows you to improve your work� ows, by allowing you to prepare the drugs in advance and perform other necessary tasks before an alarm goes o� . OneView keeps you updated about all the drugs currently being infused into a patient. You can see the dos-ages, the infused volume or the re-maining infusion time for each drug.

This information is essential when you are monitoring critical-care patients or isolation rooms. Due to the new architecture of the Space OnlineSuite the OneView screen can be easily accessed from the bedside monitor in each room. Thereby you will be able to gain immediate insights in upcoming alarms.

Quickview and My OneViewOneView supports you with newfeatures for creating personalized views. Just by clicking on certain rooms or beds you can set up your own views. These views may alsoinvolve beds from di� erent Care Units. Thereby you will be able toset your focus to speci� c therapy information.

DoseTrac – A decision support systemDoseTrac supports you in analyzing IV therapy-related data. You just have to select a report ac-cording to the required information.Reports that are available include the status of infusion pumps, number of hard limit alerts and the drug usage quantity. After a report is chosen, you can establish selection criteria that the � nal data will be subjected to e.g. a certain time period, certain locations, certain drugs, therapies or even one patient identi� cation number.

Once the report is created, DoseTrac presents the information in charts and / or tables to ensure an easy interpretation. The results can be printed or stored in a standardized � le. The export of data into a spread-sheet is possible to carry out further editing. To support an e� cient work� ow commonly used report se-lection criteria can be stored. DoseTrac therefore o� ers only the necessary information with a mini-mum of clicks.
