From the Board of Trustees: As the sun begins to peek from behind the clouds, and the mercury begins to rise, Peninsula Public Library is renewing our pledge to provide outstanding services and resources to our patrons. Consistently in the top three libraries for circulation in all of Nassau County despite our limited facilities, PPL offers a plethora of programming designed to engage young people and seniors alike, in order to entertain and educate. We now offer print-on-demand passes for some of our museums. We have been in close contact with the Nassau County Police Department and other agencies as we look to upgrade our security policies and procedures. For our patrons who prefer to take control of the checkout process themselves, we offer 3 self-checkout kiosks, freeing up staff to interact with patrons in a more service-minded way. We have been able to offer all this in a cost conscious way, mindful of limiting the burden on the taxpayer. On behalf of PPL’s board, administrators and staff we would like to wish you and your family happy healthy holidays this April. We always welcome your thoughts and suggestions and are committed to remaining a strong and vital asset to the community. Please remember to come out and vote on Tuesday, May 21st to support our Library.
