SAIRAM.In His infinite mercy and grace, Bhagawan Sri SathyaSai Baba has blessed His Trust in Karnataka to con�nue to serve the Society with sincerity and dedica�on through its various social welfare ac�vi�es, mainly in the fields of Educa�on, Health and support to poor and needy.

A major ini�a�ve of the Trust has been the introduc�on of Nithya Narayan Seva (Daily Feeding of Poor) in the Kidwai Memorial Hospital for Oncology, Bangalore. Every day, 1000 a�endants of pa�ents from poor families, are provided lunch. It is proposed to extend it to few more General Hospitals in the City.

During the year 2017-18 also, as in the earlier years, Educa�on has been the major thrust area of our ac�vi�es. The Trust extended the best support to the Sri Sathya Sai Schools to improve their infra-structure, provide be�er ameni�es and educa�onal opportuni�es to the students through computer and e-educa�on. In

Honnavar, North Kanara D ist r i c t , the management of Kar ikan Parameshwar Composite PU College has been taken over by the Trust. Proposals to take over two schools in Bijapur and Bagalkot are under considera�on.

Trust has con�nued to support the ac�vi�es of the Youth Wing of Karnataka in the effec�ve implementa�on of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyothi programme by providing schools located in interior, remote areas of the State. During the year, another 10 schools have been adopted, bringing the total to 80.Teachers of these schools have been provided training in value educa�on and Balvikas programmes.

Medical / Dental / Eye camps have been held in various parts of the State with the support of the Trust. These Camps have provided relief to thousands of needy, poor pa�ents in rural areas of the State.

During the year, 3 more Gram SevaKendras have been set up for the benefit of the rural community, bringing the total number to 93.

The Trust con�nues to ac�vely support the Old Age Home in Kundapura and provides facili�es for similar ac�vi�es in various other parts.

Disaster Management con�nues to be supported and Awareness programmes have been conducted in many educa�ona l ins�tu�ons.

The Trust rededicates itself to serve the Society as ordained by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba Varu.

Sri SathyaSai Educa�on Trust (Karnataka) was formed in 2016 to look a�er the ac�vi�es of Sri SathyaSai Schools in Karnataka, effec�vely manage them in keeping with the principles laid down by Bhagawan and make them model ins�tu�ons.

A�er the inaugura�on of SaiCharan, the educa�on complex at Dharwar, it was felt necessary to form such a Trust for the day to day management of Women's College, Hostel, Primary School and Rural Voca�onal Training Center for Women located therein.

The Educa�on Complex in Dharwar is flourishing with the Women's College, Primary School and Rural Voca�onal Center showing very good progress and

pu�ng up impressive performance. The students and staff are ac�vely engaging themselves in social welfare ac�vi�es like Swachchata and tree plan�ng Programmes.

During the year, the Trust took over the management of Karikan Parameshwar Composite PU College, Honnavar, NorthKanara. The school has Nursery, Primary, Secondary and PU classes.

Nourishing Sai Protein food drink is being provided every day to the Nursery and Primary class children and Breakfast is provided for Senior and PU class students, who are mostly from poor background. Computers and Music Instruments have also been provided.

Proposals to take over two schools in Bijapur and Bagalkot are under considera�on.

All the Sri Sathya Sai Schools in Karnataka have shown impressive results in the State Board examina�ons and excelled in inter-school compe��ons.

The Educa�on Trust moves forward with the Loving Hand of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba guiding it.

In His boundless love for His devotees in Karnataka, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba blessed the se�ng up of Sri SathyaSai Books & Publica�ons Society. Its avowed objec�ve was the spreading of His message and teachings. Since its incep�on in 1993, the Society has been publishing various Sai Literatures in Kannada and English and recording and releasing CDs of major programmes.

Sales: -The whole range of Sai Literature and Audio CDs / Case�es are made available to devotees and general public through:- Sri SathyaSai Books and Publica�ons Trust – Pu�aparthi & Bangalore- District Presidents of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisa�ons throughout Karnataka- General Stores at Sri Sathya Ins�tute of Higher Medical Sciences, Whitefield- Different Sai Centres in Bangalore like SaiGitanjali, Sai Darshanetc- Book stalls set up during major programmes of Sai Bhajans, func�ons, spiritual exhibi�ons etc.

The Sales for the year 2017-18 was Rs. 13,90,304/-Sai Literatures are not only distributed by displaying at various func�ons & fes�vals but also are sent at the request of the devotees and schools. Innova�ve ways are being devised to distribute Sai literature widely.

With utmost devo�on to Bhagawan and under the able editorship of Dr. Udaya Dharmasthala and publisher Sri. Umesh Olekar, the messages of Bhagawan are being communicated widely and effec�vely.

The topics covered by the magazine in the recent past are as follows:

We receive regular communica�on and posi�ve response from the readers of the magazine. Apprecia�on is being received from Devotees and many compliment the high quality of the Magazine.

The subscrip�on amount at which the magazine is distributed is Rs.100/-, Rs.200/- and Rs.300/- for 1, 2 and 3 years respec�vely.

During the year 2017-18, average no. of prin�ng and distribu�on of monthly Sanathana Sarathi was 7000 nos. Around 4500 copies of Sanathana Sarathi were sent monthly to devotees in Karnataka and various other parts of the country.

The parents of Children studying in various Sri Sathya Sai Schools in Karnataka are being provided with the magazine every month in order to ensure that Bhagawan's messages of Love and Service are reaching them.

Ably manage the ac�vi�es of the Publica�ons Society team consis�ng of Sri.Vasudev.G.A, Smt.Priya Ganesh and Sri.Prashant.C.P well guided and supported by Sri.Ganesh, Chartered Accountant, a sincere devotee of Bhagawan. A v e r y t a l e n t e d t e a m o f w r i t e r s l i k e Sri.Sridhar.M.A ensure that high standards are maintained in publishing Sai Literature.

The Society rededicates itself to more ac�vely pursue the spreading of Bhagawan's message in the years ahead.

Sai Ram,

2017-18 has been a magnificent gi� of Swami!Sai Gayathri blessed everyone in Karnataka to chant her name for over two crore �mes and perform a grand Maha Yagna at Brindavan. Sai Gayatri Ko� Nama Japa Yagna was an unique occasion as chanters from all parts of the State gathered to bask in the glory of the fulfilment of their two year old Sadhana.

Swachha ta se Divyata programme saw the members of the Organisa�on and devotees and general public dedica�ng themselves to making a meaningful contribu�on to the be�erment of the environment and society.

Maha Narayan Seva scaled new heights with Swami reaching out to the poor and needy all over the State. In a clinical opera�on, material for preparing the Maha Prasadam was transported to all the District head quarters.

Over 1,53,000 of sa�sfied faces of Narayana's was ample tes�mony to the success of the new ini�a�ve to widen the opera�on from Bangalore to all over the State.

Nithya Narayana Seva was launched at Kidwai Memorial Ins�tute of Oncology where daily 1000 a�endants of pa�ents receive good quality lunch.

3 Grama seva Kendras were opened at Hassan, Kasaragod & Mangalore.

Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyothi programme saw two more schools being brought under the programme. Teachers of these schools had the opportunity to undertake a pilgrimage to Swami's abode in Prasanthi Nilayam. They also par�cipated in the special Balvikas Guru's training programmes organised for their benefit.

Sri Sathya Sai Jnana Vikasa programme was held in few more centres before it was temporarily suspended pending the revision in Organisa�on Charter.

S a m a r p a n , O n e W i t h S a i , B h a k � Bhavananandam, regular programmes at Brindavan con�nued successfully, Alumni Medical Camps and other major medical camps were organised in many Districts.

Let us all remember that we are instruments in Divine mission. Swamy is the doer of every single ac�vity, whether it is at state,district or sami� level in the organisa�on.It is the sincere effort of so many sincere devotees and Grace and blessings of Swamy.

Na�onal Level Ac�vi�es

1. SRI SATHYA SAI ARADHANA MAHOTSAVA MAHA NARAYAN SEVA: As part of the Aradhana Mahothsava of Bhagwan Baba, Maha Narayan Seva was organised in a unique way all over Karnataka.

This year the Trust extended the support to all Districts by providing them with raw materials required for the prepara�on of Bisibele Bath, Sweet Pongal and Curd Rice. The material was packed in lots for 500 Narayanas and sent by Lorry Transport. Totally over 153,000

Narayanas were served Maha Prasadam all over Karnataka.

It is noteworthy that 40 talented singers from Karnataka, led by Smt. Padma Arun, State Spiritual Coordinator(Mahilas), par�cipated in the Pancharatna Kri�s singing at Prasanthi Nilayam.

10. Hireshi�a Sami�: About 300 devotees from neighbouring village were present. Senior Sai Devotee cut the cake followed by Jhoola. The purpose of Bhagwan's incarna�on was the subject of address by convenor.

11. Shasthrihalli sathya sai school offered seva

pushpanjali to the lotus feet by giving a small token of love to the students of Ashakirana school ( intel lectual ly challenged children school) 50 students par�cipated in this programme.

12. Sai Mandir, Karwar distributed fruits, sweets and clothes at District Hospital, Deaf & Dumb school, Muslim Mother's Home, Balamandir Sweekara Kendra and Remand Home.

13. 10th standard students were given books for wri�ng at Basaweswar school in Mahalakshmi Layout, Bangalore West.

14. Bangalore Mahila sevadals distributed sarees on the occasion of Swami's birthday to ladies who performed hospital seva and distributed Swami's picture and vibhuthi along with apple and bread to all the pa�ents and staff. Total beneficiaries 130, Narayana seva was performed at the bus stand, total beneficiaries about 1350.

15. Distribu�on of blanket, towels, bucket, mug, sanitary kits to the orphan girls students of Adverse convent Mother Theresa home at KARWAR by Sai youths.

16. Chatrakurve Sami�, Kumta Taluk in U�ar Kannada District celebrated with Bhajan, Cultural Program and food prasadam for the devo�es

3. SWACHHATA SE DIVYATA:The major Na�onal Programme “Swaccha ta se Divyata” was observed with sincerity and enthusiasm all over Karnataka. Members and Office bearers of the Organisa�on, Devotees, Balvikas children and their parents, Sri Sathya Sai Schools and Schools under Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyothi Programme ac�vely par�cipated in this programme.More importantly, plan�ng of saplings was vigorously pursued and achieved on a big scale. Some highlights:Sri Sathya Sai Bhajana Mandali, Manjunathnagar,

Hubballi arranged cleaning of Sri Maru� Temple inside, outside and also surrounding of temple on 15.10.2017 under the na�onal programme of " Swachateyinnd Divyatyadege". The programme was inaugurated at 9Am by Sri. V.S.Vernekar Dist. President. The members of Bhajanamandali and other Hubballi local Sai Sami� members par�cipated in the programme. About 25 members (15 purush 10 mahilas) members a�ended the programme.Our Hebri samithi also conducted swachhatha program on 15.10.2017 at Hebri. Fruit and Flower saplings planted in Arya Seva Ashram Orphanage Rajajinagar 1st block todayPlan�ng of saplings at 2

20. Solar table lamp was distributed to students of school in SSSVIP Pandarwal, Haliyal Taluk , U�ara Kannada district on auspicious day of 92nd birthday of our beloved Bhagawan. Total 30 families covered. “Give light , People will find the way”. This project is dedicated to school only. Solar panel will be installed in school itself & lamp will be given to children. They can charge only in school. 20 nos charging

facility will be given to school. Ba�ery can be removed & brought to school for charging.

21. Solar table lamp was also distributed to Shri Sathya Sai Seva Grama Higher Primary School children Alur , Haliyal Taluk , U�ara Kannada district on auspicious day of 9 2 n d b i r t h d a y o f o u r b e l o v e d bhagawan.Total 47 families covered.

4. ALL INDIA MEDICAL CONFERENCE:All India Medical Conference was held at Prasanthi Nilayam on Aug19 & 20 in which 1200 Doctors, 300 para medical staff and Organisa�on members par�cipated. The high light of the conference was the release of “Sri Sathya Sai Arokya Premanjali”, a quarterly newsle�er. dedicated to reflect the Medical ac� vi�es rendered across the country under the aegis of our Organiza �ons. Sri Sathya Sai Dhanvantri Award was conferred on doctors who had dis�nguished themselves with dedicated long term seva to Bhagwan. Prominent among

them were Dr.Sundaresh, Dr.P.K.Dash of SSSIHMS and Dr.Bhat from Karnataka.

5. VEDA POSHANA:Veda Conference:The first Sri Sathya Sai Interna�onal Veda Conference was held at Prasanthi Nilayam on 21 and 22 November, 2017. Over 250 delegates from Karnataka par�cipated. The highlight was the grand Veda Exhibi�on �tled, “Veda Tatwam”, which Karnataka was privileged to create and organise. The �reless efforts and crea�ve pursuits of our Spiritual Wing team, aided by excellent

technological support, resulted in the outstanding presenta�on. The team felt humbled by the interest and response to the exhibi�on.

Spiritual Wing, Veda group had organised various workshops in Bangalore and elsewhere. A preparatory workshop on the Importance of Veda Chan�ng in Daily life was organised at Brindavan as a forerunner of the All India Veda Conference.

Dr.Shivakumar from Brindavan Campus addressed the par�cipants. A Veda Poshana workshop was conducted at Kalloli Sathya Sai Grama Seva Kendra district Belgaum

Rudram chan�ng programme was conducted by Mahila Youths of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi Vajantriwada, on 19/11/2017 at Ganapathi Temple Menas ika�a, Baad, Karwar and Siddivinayak Temple near market Karwar

6. SRI SATHYA SAI VIDYA JYOTHI:All India Sssvj workshop was conducted in Goa Karnataka team was ac�vely involved and their contribu�on was well appreciated..

PARTHI YATRA BY TEACHERES OF SCHOOLS ADOPTED UNDER SRI SATHYA SAI VIDYA JYOTHI PROGRAMME: The dynamic youth wing of our Organisa�on, which successfully launched the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyo� Programme all over the State, organised a Parthi Yatra for teachers of the Schools adopted under the V idya Jyo� Programme. Over140 teachers par�cipated. They had special Samadhi Darshan and visited

Chaitanya Jyo�, Planetarium and other spiritual centres and had inter ac�on with senior devotees. It was an enlightening experience for all the teachers. Various ac�vi�es were taken up at the schools adopted under the Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyo� programme. Apart from distribu�on of School bags, Books & Notebooks, pen and water bo�les etc tree planta�on drive was also organised. Solar Table lamps to 15 families of the students and a computer donated by Sri Sathya Sai Trust (Karnataka) was handed over to SSSVJ School in Belgaum Dist. Model Balvikas classes were organised by Mahila Youth in Mangalore.

SSVJP Teachers Training programme was conducted in Mudhol of Bagalkot dist Prerana Kulkarni & Vikram gave talk; 6 SSVJP Teachers ,8 others school teachers & 22 youths &12 elders were prasent in this programme.Prize distribu�on for ssvjp school student for essay compe�a�on in Amalazari village of Bagalkot dist also swachatase divyata tak programme took place in this school Special class conducted for Shri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyo� School fi�h batch voca�onal training at Neelavani on the subject Embroidery by faculty Sm� Renuka Gubbiyavar , ardent sai devotee from Dandeli. More than 200 teachers from sssvj schools took Balavikas Guru's training in Karnataka. 21 districts covered, This training program has conducted only in Karnataka vj schools.SSSVJ school teachers Balavikas training at Sri Sathya Sai Seva Kshetra, Mysuru.Total 15 teachers par�cipated.12 from Mysuru district,3 from Hassan district. STATE LEVEL ACTIVITIES

1.SRI SAI GAYATHI KOTI NAMA JAPA YAGNAOver the last 18 months, devotees across 19 districts of Karnataka State have collec�vely par�cipated in a very unique chan�ng of the Sri Sai Gayatri Mantra (Om Saishwaraya VIdmahe, Sathya Devaaya Dhimahe, Thannah Sarvah Prachodayath) in the early hours of dawn. It was ini�ated by the devotees of Kabbaalu Samithi, Ramanagara District, but inspired many across the state. Finally this sacred chan�ng has been carried out in 48 Centres comprising Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi's and Sri Sathya Sai Schools in Karnataka.

More than 5774 members have cumula�vely

chanted the Sri Sai Gayatri Mantra more than Two Crore Thirty Lakh (230,00,000) �mes. This has been made possible only with the Blessings of Bhagawan Baba and the collec�ve spiritual resolve of the members. To offer our gra�tude and to conclude the chan�ng, a Sri Sai Gayatri Maha Yaga was organised at Sai Ramesh Hall, Brindavan Ashram in Kadugodi, Bangalore on 6th and 7th May 2017 for World Peace and Welfare

The programme commenced from 4pm on Saturday, 6th May with procession from Sri Saraswathi Devi and Kalasha Sthpana and other pujas. On 7th May the Yagna started with Ganapathi Prarthana, Rudrabishekam and Pradhana Homa followed by Jayadi Homa and Prayaschitha Homa.

A�er Poornahuthi a grand Sabha Karyakram was held in which a Documentary on Sri Sai Gayathri was released. Sri Nimish Pandya, All India President and Sri.Sanjay Sahani, Dircector, SSSIHL, addressed the huge gathering of over 2000. 3. NITHYA NARAYAN SEVA : As part of its commitment to reach out and serve the poor and needy, Sri Sathya Sai Nithya Narayana Seva was launched on 5th December ,2017 at Kidwai Memorial Ins�tute for Oncology, Bangalore. Under this scheme, every day 1000 a�endants of the pa�ents would be provided with good quality, nourishing food. Sri.Ramesh Kumar, Hon’ble Minister for Health, Government of Karnataka inaugurated the programme. He lauded the ini�a�ve of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisa�ons in taking up this programme and hoped that such seva would be extended to few other general hospitals where thousands of poor people would benefit from it.

2.ESWARAMMA PURASKARA: The Annual Eswaramma Puraskara, blessed by Bhagawan and ins�tued by Mahila Vibhag of our Organisa�on in Karnataka was conducted on 18th February, 2018 at Brindavan. Smt.Sasibala, Na�onal Coordinator, presided over the func�on and gave away the awards to renowned Mahila social workers of Karnataka, Smt.Subhashini Vasanth, Ms.Muktha and Smt.Sarojini Puthran.

The highlight was the grand Pallaki procession from Gokulam to Sai Ramesh Hall, led by the Students' band with Mahila groups carrying the poornakumbhas and youth carrying the beau�fully decorated Pallaki of Bhagawan. Members of Sri Sathya Sai Trust, Karnataka, office bearers, members and devotees in large numbers par�cipated in the programme.

Director of the Hospital and other dignitaries joined Sri.Ramesh Kumar in the seva by distribu�ng the food to the people on the inaugural day.

5. GOLDEN JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS OF SRI SATHYA SAI STUDY CIRCLE, BANGALORE EAST.Sri Sathya Sai Study Circle (ITI Sami�) in Bangalore East District, celebrated its Golden Jubilee on 25th and 26th of January, 2018.The Sami� has the unique privilege to be named by Bhagawan Himself as “Sri Sathya Sai Study Circle”. Bhagawan Himself lit the lamp and started it in the ITI Township on 26th Jan, 1968. Swami used to regularly visit the Sami� and bless the devotees.

The Celebra�ons commenced on 25th January with 50 Bhajans by the Sami� members followed by Sri Sathya Sai Vratha performed by 30 couples. State President, who was the chief guest, released a Souvenir and honoured senior devotees who had been associated with the Study Circle for the last 50 years and past convenors.The highlight of the programme on 26th January

was the distribu�on of Amrutha Kalasa to 50 poor and needy families. Sri.Vinay Kumar, Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Trust (Karnataka) shared many experiences with Bhagawan and advised the members to spread Bhagawan's message of Love with the firm convic�on that 'Manav seva is Madhava seva'. In the concluding part, Balvikas children presented colourful programme of Bhajans, Dances and Drama. Sri.Niranjan, Alumni Member, distributed prizes to the children and shared his thoughts on Swami's message to youth.

6. GOLDEN JUBILEE OF MUDHOL SAMITI (BAGALKOT DT)Mudhol Sami� in Bagalkot Dt celebrated its 50th Anniversary on 25th February 2018. 7. 17TH ANNIVERSARY OF SSSIHMSThe 17th Anniversary of SSSIHMS (Super Specialty Hospital) was celebrated on Friday, 19th January, 2018 at the Super Hospital Premises. The func�on was graced by Sri.Ashwini Kumar Choubey, Hon'ble Minister of State, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India and Sri.Ramesh Kumar, Hon'ble Health Minister, Govt of Karnataka and large number of members from the Medical Fraternity and senior devotees apart from the Staff of the Hospital, Sevadal Members and general public. 8. SRI SATHYA SAI JNANA VIKASA PROGRAMME: Sri Sathya Sai Jnana Vikasa Programme has been launched in Karnataka to create greater awareness about our Organisa�on and provide clarity about their role in the organisa�on among Office bearers of Districts and Sami�s. The programme is being conducted in all the Districts of Karnataka. State Office-bearers conduct this programme.

The special programme being conducted by State Coordinators for crea�ng greater awareness of our Organisa�on and its ac�vi�es for members in various Districts, was held at Hassan on 1st and 2ndApril. Over 120 office bearers from the District Par�cipated. State President's address was the highlight of the occasion.

In May, Jnana Vikas programme was inaugurated

in Mangalore, with 6 senior devotees ligh�ng the lamp on 20th May, 2017. All of them were honored on the occassion.

The programme was a�ended by 75 office bearers and devotees of the Dakshina Kannada District. The speakers for the programme were State Vice President and State Coordinators.

Sri. M. Padmanabha Pai District President organised and conducted the programme on a grand scale.

The talks were mainly to revitalize Spiritual, Educa�on and Service Wings of the Organiza�on at Samithi Level. The speakers men�oned about various ac�vi�es which could be done across Sathya Sai Organiza�on.

In the Sri Sathya Sai Jnana Vikasa Programme held at Davangere, State Coordinators conducted the programme well a�ended by over 80 office bearers from the District. Senior Members of the Organisa�on lit the lamp and inaugurated the programme. There was good inter ac�on by the par�cipants.

4.GOLDEN JUBILEE OF KODIBAG SAMITI: Kodibagh Sami� in North Kanara District celebrated its Golden Jubilee Anniversary in a colourful programme at Karwar. The event, in which over 3000 devotees par�cipated, clearly show cased the love and devo�on to Swami by members and public of Karwar.

The various programmes organised to mark the occasion, especially the youth meet, reflected the commitment of the members, both past and present. A special souvenir was brought out to mark the occasion.

SUMMER COURSE IN INDIAN CULTURE & SPIRITUALITY: BHADRAVATI & RAJAJI NAGAR (Bangalore): An excellent programme of Summer Course in Indian Culture & Spirituality was organised at Bhadrava� in which students from Sri Sathya Sai Schools par�cipated. The programme at Rajaji Nagar Bangalore for students from Bangalore City schools and colleges was well a�ended.

11. State Level Orienta�on Programme for the District Educa�on Coordinators was organised at Eswaramma Higher Primary School, Davangere on 15th and 16th April.

There were about 120 selected par�cipants represen�ng the different districts of Karnataka. The program was mainly meant for the par�cipants to give an expression to their ideas, sugges�ons and opinions about what can be done to strengthen the balvikas Movement - All the aspects related to Balvikas was dealt. the sessions were mainly interac�ve and the par�cipants ac�vely par�cipated.

12. NEW SCHOOL ADDED IN N.KANARA DISTRICTWith the blessings of Bhagwan Baba, Sri Karikan Parmeshwari Educa�onal Ins�tu�on at Honavar in North Kanara District was taken over by Sri Sathya Sai Trust Karnataka.

A Samarpan programme was held on 28/5/2017 Sunday from 10 am onwards. State President Sri Nageshdhakappa was the chief guest at an impressive func�on, in which State Office bearers and DP North Kanara and other office bearers and devotees in large number were present.

13. STATE LEVEL MEETING & MEETING OF SRI SATHYA SAI SCHOOLS. State Level Mee�ng of State Office-bearers and District Presidents was held at Sai Kishen Kalyan Mantap on 26th January, 2018. The mee�ng discussed the various ac�on points for the implementa�on of programmes to be organised during 2018-19. Presenta�ons were made by the different wings and discussions were held on them.

On 27th January, 2018, a Mee�ng of Sri Sathya Sai Schools in Karnataka was held in Brindavan. Management representa�ves and school func�onaries par�cipated. Convenor and Trustees of Sri Sathya Sai Trust (Karnataka), State President and Vice President, District Presidents and other office-bearers also a�ended. Presenta�ons were made by the schools highligh�ng their ac�vi�es and ac�on plan for the ensuing year. Highlight of both the mee�ngs was the Trayee Darshan organised for all the par�cipants.

14. GOKULAM ANNIVERSARY:19th Anniversary of Sri Sathya Sai Gokulam Complex in Kadugodi was celebrated at an impressive func�on with Sri Sai Sathyanarayana Puja. State President and other office bearers and

large number of members and devotees a�ended.

15. 20th ANNIVERSARY OF SAI GITANJALI:To mark its 20th anniversary, Sai Gitanjali had a 5 day programme both in the morning and evening. The programmes covered special bhajans, various service ac�vi�es, Maha Narayana Seva, service at Belaku Vriddhashrama, Bal Vikas programs and a musical program by Sri. Maru� Prasad and party in the evening of Saturday 27thMay.

On the anniversary day, Dr. Prithvi Raval son of Dr. R.S Padmanabhan was the chief guest who addressed the gathering. The program concluded by offering Maha Mangalarathi to Bhagawan and distribu�on of specially prepared prasadam for the devotees.

18. Sri Sathya Sai Kalpa Vruksha:Corporate employees of IHS rendered seva at Super Specialty Hospital and also planted more than 100 fruit bearing saplings. Dr.Sundaresh, Director also par�cipated in the tree planta�on.40 Trees were planted in SSSVJ School Gudar Nagar village Ballari dist. The trees were adopted by students and name of thetree is the name of adopted student! A unique ini�a�ve indeed.

16. SPIRITUAL SADHANA SAPTAHA (Bangalore West District): Every Year in summer a Spiritual Sadhana Sapthaha is being conducted by Prashanthnagar and Chandra layout samithis with its associated Bhajan mandalis. This year too, a Sapthaha was organized on the theme: SAI VALUES IN DAILY LIFE. This was conducted from Monday the 15thMay to Saturday the 21st May 2017.The weeklong sapthaha commenced with following ac�vi�es in the morning:Omkaram, Suprabhatam, Jyothi Medita�on, Nagarsankirtan and in the evening there would be: Veda Chan�ng, Bhajans & Spiritual talk by selected speakers on Sai values.

4. A Balvikas group-2,workshop was held at Mysore on 2nd July, for the group-2 gurus of mysore, Hassan, mandya and coorg districts, school teachers of Sri Sathya Sai Baba schools and gurus to be from Chamarajanagar district also a�ended.

2. MATHRU PUJA: KASARAGOD SAMITI: On the occasion of Eswaramma Day, Kasaragod sami� conducted Mathru Puja. Large number of Balvikas children, parents and devotees par�cipated.

EDUCATION WING:

1. Bal Vikas Parthi Yatra: South Kanara District organised a Parthi Yatra for Bal Vikas children, Gurus and parents from April 18th to 22nd. The group consisted of 60 members. A�er Samadhi Darshan, they visited various temples, Super Specialty Hospital, Planetarium and par�cipated in Suprabatham and Nagar Sankeerthan

3.BALSANKAR SHIBIR: BELGAUM DIST: On 6th May, Indal Nagar Sami� – Belgaum concluded 34 days of Bal Sankar Shibir for 21 Balvikas children. Over 30 parents par�cipated. On this occasion, to mark Eswaramma Day Bu�ermilk seva was also performed. Over 400 benefited.

1.Bhajan Training at Udupi Dist.Bhajan training was conducted on 13th and 14th May 2017 at Sathya Sai Mandir, Brahmagiri, Udupi by Brindavan Mahila Bhajan group headed by Smt. Padma Arun, State Spiritual Coordinator

The training started with PPT presenta�on of do's and dont's of Bhajan rules. This was followed by training bhajans. The training session was more insigh�ul, inspiring and par�cipa�ve. On both the days, around 55 Sai Samithi Members a�ended from across Udupi district.

About 60 students and 10 teachers par�cipated in this value based program.Ramakatha Rasavahini series of lectures: 8th was conducted at Pol ice training school in channapatna of Ramanagara district. About 550 trainees in this a�ended. Police trainees were also told about prac�cing of Human values through the characters of Ramanagara and how these values will help to become model police officer. 9th talk was conducted at Ramanagara District Jail on 23rd Feb 18. About 180 jail inmates w e r e a d v i s e d a b o u t I m p o r t a n c e o f transforma�on from Tamasic to Sathivik. 10th talk was conducted at Divya chethana English School. About 200 students a�ended in spite of preponed examina�ons

18. Mahaa Shivaratri was observed with Rudram Chan�ng. Pujas and Akhanda Bhajans all over the State. At Brindavan, celebra�ons started with Procession of Trayeeshwara Lingam from Trayee Brindavan to Kalyana Mantap, then Mahaa Rudrabhishekam to Trayeeshwara Lingam with 18 sacred dravyas. The Maha Rudrabhishekam was conducted for World Peace. Divine discourse wasfollowed by the commencement 12-hour Akhanda Bhajan. Hundreds of devotees par�cipated throughout the night.

19. Rudrabhishekam Bilwastakam Shivastothara Saiashtothara was conducted at devotees house of Hebbandi gramasevakendra Bhadravathi. Over 200 devotees par�cipated.

20. 50th inaugural day celebrated at our Kundapur samithi, Udupi dist. on 25.3.2018. They have declared 50 programmes in the samithi throughout the year.

21. Ramnavami was observed in a solemn func�on at Seva Kshetra Bidar.- Indiranagar Samithi (Sai Darshan) in Bangalore Central Dist. Celebrated Ram Navami with a two hour "Burra Katha" on Ramayana, by the Burra Katha trio Dr.Sai Raghu Ram, Sai Prabhakar and Sai Arvind. The songs, narra�ons were in Telugu, interspersed wih English explana�ons and sharing of experiences in Divine presence who personally guided the trio. The devitees enjoyed the two hour programme.

4. BUTTERMILK SEVA AT CHIKBALLAPUR: The Annual Car Fes�val of Sri Lakshmi Venkataravana Swamy Gadidam was held on Vyshaka Poornima day. Our Chikballapur Sami� served bu�er milk to over 7000 devotees from 11 AM to 4 PM which was very much appreciated.

2. A special medical camp was organised at Bhadrava� for Bar Associa�on members ( lawyers ). The programme was inaugurated by Dist Judge and five more Judges were present. ENT, Ortho, Eye, General Physician and Blood Pressure, Blood grouping & HB content was arranged in the camp. About 300 lawyers and staff members of the court took part in the camp. For the first �me such a kind of Medical camp was organised in the premises of the court.

3. In the Medical Camp conducted by Mangalore Sami�, dental 58 + medical 282 = 340 people benifi�ed. 140 were tested for eye.Spectacles were distributed to 93 and blood sugar was tested for 89 persons.

4. FREE CARDIAC SCREENING CAMP was organised at Sambrani Village, Haliyala Taluka, on

20th May, near Shri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyo� Village Neelavani between 8AM to 5PM. A team of Consultants and paramedical staff from JAYADEVA INSTITUTE OF CARDIOLOGY, BANGALORE, conducted this camp. This camp is an effort to reach out to poorest, create awareness of heart diseases and get them the best available treatment under the Government flagship programmes 200 pa�ents from 60 different villages a�ended.

5.Free Homeopathy medical camp was held in two Shri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyo� Villages Domgera & Neelavani, from 9am to 7pm on 3.12.2017. More than 100 pa�ents took benefit of the same.

6.Mega medical camp at Prashant Vidya Kendra Bayar . 850 people benefited. Spectacle to 150 and machines worth 15000/- were distributed.

7. A Mul�Speciality medical camp was organized by Kasaragod Samithi, on 18 November by a team of doctors from KMC Mangalore. Free Diabetes screening, blood sugar check up and medicines distributed at Kasaragod Samithi, Kasaragod Dist. on 15 November

10. A free Ayurvedic Medical Camp was organized by Udupi Samithi at Perdoor on 5th November. The pa�ents were given free ayurvedic medicine which lasts for a month.80 people took the benefit of the camp. Samithi

has been organizing the medical camp in Perdoor for around 15 years con�nuously.

11. Free monthy Medical camp to BP and diabe�c pa�ents started at Vagata Sami� on 18/2/18. 52 pa�ents have registered for regular check up and medicines will be provided by Sami�.

12. Medical Camp was organised at Talapady, D.K. District.During this camp 185 People were benefi�ed. Of these 139 people had General checkup, 46 people hand dental checkup, 73 had eye checkup and 49 people had Random Blood Sugar level tested.Free op�cals were distributed to 39 needy and 15 pa�ents were requested to visit hospital as followup for further treatment.

13. Our Kadandale samithi, Udupi dist have celebrated their anniversary on 18.3.2018, by conduc�ng Ayurvedic Medical camp and honoured the doctors of Alva's Ayurvedic Hospital, Moodbidri. They have also distributed sarees to womens of earlier adopted village, Mulladka.

Youth Wing of Dharwar District has been conduc�ng Employment Skill Enablement programme under “Sri Sathya Sai Yuva Jeevan Vikas” with the objec�ve to provide service opportunity to the Sai youth of the District, reach out to the needy, deprived graduate youth and empower them to inculcate value skills and introduce new youth to the Organisa�on. They have succeeded in bringing large number of rural youth into the Organisa�on. 3. A work shop on “Life is a game, Play it”, for puc students was conducted by Mr.Amit Sood and his team from Prasanthi Nilayam was held at Karwar. More than 150 students par�cipa�ng of from various colleges

4. A Leadership training program was held in Brindavan from 29th-31st July in which youth from all over the State had par�cipated. To ignite their leadership skills, the youths who have a�ended the program, have been bestowed with responsibili�es under various projects. Each of them has been provided with the �me frame of 8 months from Aug 2017-March 2018 to prove themselves as true leaders.

5. Devotees and youth wing members of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi, Sirsi, distributed LED tubelights to all the houses in the Yadoga village, Haliyal (NK),

The seva volunteers also ensured the fi�ng and func�oning of all these tubelights. Around 35 households benefi�ed from this seva.6.SSSSO Youth wing, Dharwad Dist. has taken ini�a�ve on conduc�ng Employment Skill enablement program by name “Sri Sathya Sai-YUVA JEEVAN VIKAS”. News about the programme has been circulated to all What's app groups of SSSSO and others, put up no�ces at more than 15 Govt and private colleges in Dharwar, Belgaum and Haveri Districts, adver�sed in print media and radio. The first batch of seven candidtates have been selected in Dec '17.

7. Phase 2 of HOPE was conducted at Gowtam College of Nursing Manjunathnagar.Topics discussed were :Time Management,Anger Management & Ego Management.40 plus students a�ended the session

14. Shri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyo� voca�onal training seventh batch ( vaca�on batch for college students specially for PUC ) at Neelavani. Total 30 students from different villages enrolled their names for vaca�on batch March 2018 – May 2018. Planned for two batches 15 par�cipants each Shan� & Prema respec�vely. Bangalore Central District invited Alumni of Swami's ins�tu�ons for an interac�ve meet on 11th March, at Sai Darshan.The idea behind ths was to exchange views and find out to the reasons as to why Alumni are not integra�ng into SSSSO and not par�cipa�ng in Samithis near their places of residences. Around 22 members of Alumni par�cipated.

17. A one day Summer Workshop on the theme: 'ROLE OF WOMEN IN INDIAN CULTURE' was conducted on Saturday the 10th March, 2018 for the students of Sri Sai College for Women in Rajajinagar.About 250 Students a�ended the programme.

18. On 10th March, 2018, HOPE Phase 2 program was successfully conducted in Ballari. Total 72 Students par�cipated. Sri Dr Kishan Bhagavath and Sri Rajendra Rao were the speakers of the program. In a�ernoon session Students visited VIMS Hospital and distributed fruits Prasad to pa�ents.

SPECIAL REPORTMEDICAL CAMPS HELD BY KANAGAMMA FOUNDATION (U.K)

KANAGAMMA FOUNDATION,UK, based in London (U.K) expressed a desire to conduct Eye Camps in interior districts in Karnataka where good medical facili�es were not available. Mr.K.Cumareshan, Chairman of the Trust and his dedicated team have �relessly worked over the years in organising and conduc�ng such Eye camps in associa�on with Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisa�ons ( Karnataka) in various districts of the State.

By The Grace of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the EyeCamps were jointly organised diligently u�lising Swami's core principle of "Love All, Serve All”.

The Eye Camps were organised with the ac�ve par�cipa�on of DP and sevadal volunteers in the Districts and dedicated Medical Team organised by Kanagamma Founda�on.Pa�ents were informed of the camp well in advance during the adver�sing phase conducted by the SSSSO members and the prepara�on and distribu�on of food and refreshments was managed by SSSSO members. Common eye disorders were iden�fied and treated with medica�on supplied at the point of consulta�on. Refrac�ve errors were corrected and new spectacles were prescribed and supplied.

Pa�ents were seen over 4 to 5 days by the Kanagammah Founda�on Team. Iden�fied pa�ents were sent for cataract surgery and other treatment to the designated Hospitals. Post-opera�ve assessment revealed a favourable outcome in each case. Our audit shows that pa�ents benefi�ed as planned and every pa�ent confirmed sa�sfac�on.
