ACTIVITY REPORT:Alard College of Pharmacy, Punehad arranged guest lecture on the topic "Soft Skill

Development" for students of first year on 23rd March, 2019. This lecture was

conducted by Mr. Rishikesh Kumar, Asst Professor of S.B.Patil lnstitute of Business

Management Science, Pune.He gave various examples to explain where personality

matters and how one can improve behavior and way of living standards. He also

discussed how to think on particular topic and how to take initiative. What is the need

to take initiative and how to improve cqnmunication skills, how to handle situations.

The lecture was very timely and well appreciated by the students. He further

explained that many full-time courses are available online which will provide

knowlgdge of lntroduction to Leadership, Leadership Styles, lnterpersonal Relations,

Group Dynamics, Team Building and Time Management.

Grooming skills:

Dr. Suvarna Deshpande was highlighted about what efforts to be taken while

preparing interview. She discussed about how to groom, prepare for

interview and how to get rid from fear and anxiety drning interview. She

geared up the students through variety of examples which will help them to

take right decision for their career. This was followed by an MCQ test.

Basic aspects in cGMP:

Dr. Suvarna Deshpande was explained the basic principles of cGMP, importance

of cGMP, requirement for compliance for cGMP, cGMP guideline. ln cGMP

guideline she elaborated basic cGMP requirement followed by pharmaceutical

manufacturer, common ways to avoid making most frequent GMP elrors.

This was followed by an MCQ test.

Good documentation Practices :

Dr. Suvama Deshpande explained for GMP environment, documentation

needs to meet certain requirements to ensure product quahty and product

safety. If an instruction or record is poorly documented then the

manufacture or Quality assurance/conffol of a product can be negatively

impacted, potentially reducing patient safety. She explained about the

different types of documents to be maintained in pharmaceutical industry.

This was followed by an MCQ test.

Good laboratory practices.

Dr. Suvama Deshpande was explained that GLP is a set of principle that

gurdes how to laboratory studies planned performed, monitore{ recorde4

reported and archived. This was followed by an MCQ test.

Dr. Suvarna Deshpande was explained in session on qualification and validation.

She explained about importance of Qualification and validation in pharmaceutical

industry. She also focused on types of qualification i.e. installation qualification (lQ),

performance qualification (PQ)or operation qualification (OO) and validation is

needed to confirmed that any process performed in a pharmaceutical industry is

Qualification and validation :

Dr. Suvarna Deshpande narrated meaning of validation and qualification. She

elaborated that Validation is needed because it verifies whether the quality standards

and compliance are being met by the product before release to the market. Both

method of analysis and manufacturing procedures are required to be Validated.

Standard procedures for calibrations of instruments must be available. Different

types of validations were described and students were provided with a sample

validation protocol prepared to define the various stages for sampling and the

responsibilities of staff.

tips on how to face interview like - Be confident, never fail to make eye contact,

rnaintain a good posture, don't be nervous, don't cross your arms, don't play with your

hair; and don't have a weak handshake; be polite, etc. She also gave examples of what

students should not do while participating in an interview. .

Dr. Shoma and Dr. Suvarna then guided the students to conduct group discussions

where students voluntarily participated in groups on randomly given topics. They were

taught to initiate a conversation, put forth their opinion and respond in a positive way.


Dr. Suvarna Deshpande described about basic cGMP aspects which includes quality of

drug products should be carefully monitor bydrug manufacturers according to

compliance with its Current Good Manufacturing Practice (oGMP) regulations. She

informed students about oGMP regulations for drugs laid down by Food and Drug

administration, which contains minimum requirements for the methods, facilities, and

controls used in manufacturing, processing, and packing of a drug product.

Good Documentation Practice:

Dr. Suvarna Deshpande explained impqrtance of GDP and inforrned documentation

control is not optional; it is a legal requirernent, hence good documentation practices-

commonly referred to as GDPs are critical. She describe about records and reports,

along with procedures of manufactured products and devices and told that "good"

documentation practices ensure the integrity and reliabili$ of data.

Dr. Shoma Shrivastav and Dr. Suvarna Deshpande ananged Group discussion and mock

interview session. Due to this session, thg, students got to experience interview skills in an

environment similar to an actual interviefo. whichhelped students to understand what is

expected in a real job interview and can help an applicant to improve his or her self-

presentation.

ACTIVITY REPORT:

The students and Faculty of ACP took part in the celebration of World Yoga Day on 21"t

June 2018. A yoga session was organised by ACP, directed by Yoga expert Ms Palak

Mustazar, representative from the organization of Art of Living. She initiated the camp by

giving a talk on healthy eating habits and life style, followed by a yoga session and

meditation session. The Students and Staff form Alard institute of management sciences

and Alard College of Engineering and manaqiement were participated in this event. The

session ended with the felicitation of the Yogh teachei by Principal Dr. Sonia Singh and

a pledge taken by all to maintain physical fitness and practice Yoga in their daily routine.

Total 109 students from Alard College of Pharmacy were present for this event.

Alard Group of Institute organized lnternational Yoga day on 2'tst June 2016 in Alard

Engineering College Corridor. On this occasion Prof Pradeep Wagh was invited as

guest. The students and teachers from all campus were participated with great

enthusiasm. Different asnans were done by the students. Warm up exercises were

taken and all the participants performed sitting and standing asanas, importance of

these were explained simultaneously. He encouraged students to practice

regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration. Total 77 students from Alard

PROPOSED OUTCOME OF THE ACTMITY: Social Service -To inculcate the nature of

Social Service and spread the importance of cleanliness and hygenecity.

ACTIVITY REPORT:

Student volunteers cleaned the campus 10:00am'4pm. They cleaned the lnstitute

premises, main building area, parking area etc. and also removed unwanted grass from

playground. ln addiilon, allvolunteeractively participated in cleaning of nedicinal Garden.

This activity was organized by NSS unit ofACP. Students were served tea and biscuit on

both the days. The activity ended successfully and'ground was made ready for playing

games.

ACTIVITY REPORT: Social Service -To raise awareness that individual can save lives

and improve the health of others by donating blood.

The Blood Donation Camp was organised by Alard Charitable Trust in coordination with

Red Plus blood bank at 10am-4.30pm. Mr.Sandeep Sangle director of blood bank

inaugurated the programme. Student volunteers from our NSS unit helped organize the

camp.The initiative was taken to create snElreness of blood donation in the campus.The

arrangernent was done in seminar hall. To start with the donors were required to fill their

information regarding their age, sex, height, body, weight along with health issues and on

either side examination or checking was done by blood bank doctors such as BP, Blood

Group etc. Basic things which were provided by blood bank were blood bags with their

particular persons blood group and they also arranged 10 beds. Post donation, donors

were offered tea, biscuits and fruits. After that blood bags were stored in cold storage.

Blood bank gave every donar a cerificate which will be useful in future to people and also

presented a gift of appreciation as a coffee mug.A total of 95 bags of blood was collected

at the end of the drive. At the end , a felicitation programme was held .All the Red plus

blood bank staff were felicitated by Secretary Dr. Rama Yadav, Principal Dr. Sonia Singh,

principal og Alard business School,Mr. DKTripathi and Principal of Alard College of

Engineering and management, Mr. Sapate. Total 168 students participated in this activity'

AGTIVITY REPORT:

B.pharm Student of Alard College of Phanrucy organized Training in association with

Sairang Foundation pune to 5th ,gth ,7th class students of Z.P.School, Marunji from 9arn-

5 pm to explain the importance of education. Alard students delivered lectures on the

topic such as health, hygiene, sports, computer, garnes and puzzle, vedic maths and

space science to Z.P. School students. They also offered career counseling by

introducing diff professions to them. Students conducted lecture for 30 min. Students

motivated the children by involving in their classes and tried to explain the importance of

education. Encouraged the school students to participate in the cultural activities and

sports. The activity ended successfully by producing awareness of health and hygiene in

the students and also giving knowledge of subject maths and science also sports,

NSS Volunteers of Alard College of Pharmacy arranged Swachhata Abhiyan in the

college building. Allthe volunteers and students of S.Y., T.Y. and Final Year B.Pharmacy

actively paticipated in this cleaning activity. They cleaned central open area in Alard

College of Pharrccy and beautified it with landscaping. They removed grass and

unwanted plants from central area in the @llege building. The activity continued from 9.15

am to 12.15 pm. Total 1 13 students were participated in thid activity.

students of both the department pharnaceutics.and QAT actively participated in this

cleaning activity to rnake the Medicinal Garden free of weeds, while the B.Pharm students

focussed on cleaning the campus. Total 178 students were prsent for this activity.

volunteers to interact with villagers and understand basic problems and needs of villagers.

ACTIVITY REPORT:

On 2 Jan 2A19, the NSS volunteers reached the Special Annual Camp plam of Markal

village. The volunteers after placing their goods, gathered in an open space where the

NSS coordinators briefed them about the rules and regulations of the camp, about the

different programs to be organized. The coordinators also formed teams and delegated

different roles and responsibilities tolthe leaders and rnembers of the team. The

inauguration cerernony was held on that day where all the volunteers and the villagers

took active part in it. The chief guest for the day was Mrs. Trupti Lokhande, Sarpanch of

Markal village.

Day-2

On 3 Jan 2019, at 6.00 to 6.25am in the morning the NSS Volunteer started the day witha prayer. From 6.25-7.1 0 am the volunteers were part of Yoga practige. Later Volunteersconducted a survey regarding health problems and facility in Markal village to find andunderstand the basic problems and needs of the villagers. There was good artount ofinteraction with the villagers and the volunteerc. Around 120 families in the Markal villagewere surveyed regarding number of members in family, age, education, aadhar card, pancard, voter id, and waste rnanagernent, availability of drinking water, health facility, roadand electriciS availability, some villagers reported need of waste managernent and facilityregarding e-information service Centre.

Day3

Visit to Triveni Ashr:am and Aloe vera Farmin Markal

NSS Volunteers visited Triveni ashram to leam the technique of meditation. The teacherfrom Triveni Ashram also conducted a session on stress managernent.Day 4

Swachhata Rally

On the fourth day, Swachata / health awareness rally was organized in Markal village,withthe rnotto ONE STEP TOWARDS CLEANLINESS. Many volunteers activety took initiativetowards the cleanliness of the village and also creating awareness among the villagers.Many villagers took the forward step in keeping their village clean and hygienic.sabhapati, Health department, Markal guided the NSS participants.

Day 5

On fifth day they cleaned the Chatrapati:SamuhaJi Sarnadhi at Tulapur which is presentnear Markal. On the sarre day, Lecture session was conducted by Mr. Ganesh KhanwateMaharaj (Tuljapoor) regarding Beti bachao and women empowerment in the evening.Day 6

NSS Volunteers aranged drawing competition at Navin Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Markalfor students of sth, 6th, and 7s standard. And the first three winners were awarded with

books on Chatrapati Sivaji Maharaj. On the same day heatth checkup camp (Blood

Pressure) was conducted along with history writing of Markar Mllage.

Day 7

On the last day dosing ceremony of NSS Camp took place wherein, the chief guest Mr.

Ajit Lokhande (Treasure, RJSPM), Chairman Mr. Lalasheth Lokhande, Mr. Rohidas

Lokhande Gram Panchayat sadasya, and Principals of all the colleges were present. Theactivity ended with huge success with NSS team carrying lots of experiences, learnings

and rnemories with absolute satisfaction.

ACTIVITY REPORT:

NSS Volunteers of Alard College of pharrnacy arranged Helnet awareness campaign, in

this activity students were devided into total 9 groups and one faculty was assigned to

each group. Group 1: Ms Komal , Group 2: Ms Sneha, Groupoup 5: 3: pallavi Rajput,

Group 4: Kumud Bhendarkar, Group 5: Tanaji Botre, Group 6: Savita Bhongal, Group

7&8: Amit Karale, Group g: Mr.Rahul Buchade. These different groups went to differentplaces like Alard College of Business lVlanagernent, Alard Junior College, ln front ofCampus Gate, Laxmi Chowk and Life Republic Society, Marunji. Students displayed

illustrative placards and pamphlets. They played videos related to helrnet awareness and

also told advantages & disadvantages to alll staff and students. The security personel atthe entrance of alard institutions was strictly instructed to prohibit entry of vehicles with

helmetless riders.

Activity Report:

NSS Volunteers of Alard College of Pharmacy organized 3 days health awareness

camp and addressed issues like hygiene, nutrition, and social issues like alcoholism

and tobacco addiction. During this camp following activities were conducted

Health Awareness & Addiction Survey in MarunjiVillage:

On 0910112018 survey was conducted by group of students regarding health and

hygiene. The main purpose of this survey was to create awareness about health and

hygiene in community. Students also enquired about addiction to alcohol, smoking,

drugs, etc. NSS student volunteers asked question to peoples whether they are

suffering from addiction. However, it was found that people were not open about their

addiction habits. Students explained side effects of alcoholism and tobacco addiction

and convinced them to live addiction free life. They provided information about various

deaddiction centers available to get rid of addiction. Total 50 students were

Health awareness in Zilla Parishad School Marunji:

On 10101/2018 NSS Volunteers conducted Z.P. School visit for health awareness

amongst the students, and also our students took the lectures on different class of

Z.P. Students.

an 11fi1t2018 NSS volunteers created awareness among the common people

about road safeg and painted speed breakers with white reflector color, so as to

make them visible to drivers. Students also conducted a Swachata Abhiyan dilve

Lecture on deaddiction in the marunii village:

On 11fi11201g, in the closing ceremony, Chief guest Shri Nitin Pradhan (Art of living

Teacher) graced the ceremony along with Sarpanch Biadabai Buchade, Upsarpanch

Mr.Akash Buchade, ACP Principal Dr. Sonia Singh. Shri Nitin Pradhan addressed the

students and villagers about effect of addiction on individuals and their family and how

de-addiction can help people to come out of the affected lifestyle. He said villagers

were not opening up about their habits because they know that they are harmful to

them. Sadly, they do not stop it in-spite of knowing about its harmful effects. The Art

of Living NGO provides deaddiction program PRAN for addicted individuals. He

appreciated efforts taken by students. Total 50 students participated in this activity

Chief Guest Mr Nitin pradhan Addressing the Mllagers and students in the closing

Activity Report:

Alard college of Pharmacy organized a tree plantation on 151A812016. Students and

faculty cleaned the medicinal garden, trimmed the trees to shape and planted new

medicinal plants and decorative plants in campus. The objective of this activity was to

Pharmacy for Swatchata Abhiyan in campus and also the surrounding areas of

college. They discussed the significance of cleanliness and hygiene. The Chairman of

Alard Institutions Dr LR Yadav also participated in the drive to motivate the students

to participate in the cleanliness drive and extend it to the neighborhood. Total 144

Activity Report:

NSS unit organized the "Pharma Rally'on the occasion of World Pharmacist Day on

25th September. The aim of the rally was to sensitize the society about profession of

pharmacy, that they should reach out to their community pharmacist for medicine

related queries and bond with their community pharmacist for delivery of better health

care. Students interacted with the community of Marunji Village and expressed their

willingness to extend health awareness programmes to them. The positive response

generated during the rally gave the students inputs to organize relevant NSS activities

for the community of Marunji. Total 141 students participated in this activity.

Activity Report:

Blood donation camp was organized at Alard College of Pharmacy on 25th Au9.2015

in collaboration with Acharya Anandrishiji Pune Blood Bank. After blood donation

students served with snacks and tea. Blood donation camp was organized to make

students aware after blood donation they make significant contribution towards a

society, because blood can't not be manufactured its requirement is fulfilled by

donating Blood. Before donating blood, students were examined for weight, bloodt'

pressure and Hb Count. Only eligible candidates donated blood Students have

received Certificates for participation in camp. Total 100 students participated and 71

donated blood. Alard college of Pharmacy was appreciated for organizing this blood

€mp by giving certificate and trophy by Acharya Anandrishiji Pune Blood Bank.

Activity Report:

Our students organized pharma rally on the occasion of "World Pharmacist Day" 25tt'

September 2015. Our students & staff actively participated in rally for making

awareness for cleaning and hygiene amongst villagers. The rally started from college

after that it moved toward Marunji village and returned back to Alard College of

pharmacy. The objective of rally was to spread awareness in society about cleaning

and hygiene by using slogans, posters, banners etc. Total 134 students actively

participated in this rallY.

Cleaning of Sharadashram Primary Ashram School

Students participated in cleaning the premises of Sharadashram primary Ashram

School on 2310112016 and conducted health awareness camp in the ashram on

2410112016. They believe in "Walk the Talk" and so, as a role model, they inspired

school children to maintain their environment clean by themselves cleaning thepremises first. Total 50 students participated in this activity.

Street play for villagers and students :

On 25th, 26th the students conducted street plays in the village about hygiene and

health. The villagers appreciated the efforts taken by the students.

Donation of notebook, pen, pencil to School students:

On the closing ceremony of this camp on 27th Jan, students distribute notebook, pen,

pencil to school children at local school. This activity was conducted to enhance the

Date of activity conducted: 08/03/2016

Activity Report:

NSS unit was organized Dengue, Malaria awareness Campaigning and conducted

rally, Skit and Survey on the oCcaSiOn of "lnternational Women's day" on 8th MarCh

2016 in Marunji Village. ln this activity students explained the villagers about causes

of dengue and malaria. Students also explained villagers how to take precaution to

avoid spreading of these diseases by distributing pamphlets to them. Total 143

students were actively participated in this campaign.

Name of Activity: Blood donation Camp


Activity Report:

Blood Donation camp which was arranged at college campus in collaboration with

AKshay Blood Bank on 25-08-2014. Total 120 students participated in this activity.

About 100 units of blood were collected based on hemoglobin, BP and weight of the

students. After blood donation snacks and tea were arranged for the blood donor. To

encourage the students and increase the participation in blood donation, certificates

and gifts were given to students by members of Akshay Blood Bank.

Activity Report:

Hemoglobin awareness lecture for girl students was organized in Alard College of

Pharmacy, on 24l08nAM by Dr. Ghosh in coordination with Akshay Blood Bank.

Various hemoglobin disorders. ln this session they described symptoms and the types

of hemoglobin disorders. Since girls are subjected to monthly loss of blood, they are

more prone to below normal hemoglobin contents. Hence, they were advised by Dr.

Ghosh how to manage heathy habits and intake of good food to avoid such disorders.t'

Activity Report:

Alard College of Pharmacy had organized a One Week Special Camp at Marunji

Village on 15/1212014 to 2111212014. lt is imperative to mention that the Marunji has

been adopted by the institute. The objective of this camp was to begin the interface

with community, support building with community members and developing

understanding of the village keeping in view the rationale of village adoption i.e.

develop long term institutional relation with the community and contribution to the

upliftment of people therein. Our college is actively involved in community networking.

Almost all of their activities and programmes throughout the session focus on socially

relevant issues. Their intensive participation in such programmes inculcates in them a

spirit of good citizenship, service orienlation and helps in the holistic development of

their personality. Students carried out'the following activity during this camp.

1. Swatch Bharat Abhiyan:

Swatch Bharat Abhiyan was conducted on 1611212014 and 1711212014 in Marunji

village. In this activity students were taken survey on availability of basic needs i.e.

drinking water, waste disposal system, roads etc. simultaneously students also

given awareness about health and hygiene to villagers. After survey they clean main

roads in Marunji Village. Total 50 students were present for this activity.

2. Water conservation camPaign

Water conservation campaign was conducted on 1 8/1 212014 to 1 9/1 2PAM . ln this

activity student volunteers explained importance of water conservation. Student

volunteers explained about some tips for water conservation like Turning the water

off when brushing your teeth, use deep irrigation, reused water used in toilet,

watering plants, etc. They also explained that water can be recycled, but it

consumes large amount of power, energy and money, hence it's our responsibility

to Clean water in lakes, riverg and preserve the natural water resources. On the

second day students cleaned the lake in village they picked up the unwanted plants,

plastic bottles, bags from lake. Total 50 students were involved in this activity'

Lectures on Disaster Management:

During this NSS camp lecture on disaster management for the student and villagers

was organized by experts. This session was started with brief introduction of

different types of disaster i. e. Earthquakes, heat waves, Hurricanes and tropical

storms, floods, fires and accidents. ln this session students were trained to manage

emergency situation. The aim of this training was to reduce a health hazard

associated with disaster. Total 50 students and 40 villagers were present for this

session.

ACTIVITY REPORT

Alard college of pharmacy organized Session on Student Psychology by Mrs. ArtiPendse , Psycologist for first year and Second year student. She started theworkshop with a very creative introductory session, where students had to introducethemselves in a novel way. They had to either mention an adjective or a quote orsong which best describes them. They could also explain the meaning of theirnames ( without revealing the names) thereby giving an opportunity to the others toguess the names! lt was an enjoyable ice-breaking exercise and it was observed thatstudents were quite engrossed in the exercise. This was followed by a discussion onthe Self, one's desires, dreams, passions and motivations. Students were told howimportant their dreams and desires are for developing the personality. It wasstressed that they need to have a passion in life. Students were also given tips onhow to increase their self-esteem. They were also encouraged to be optimistic and tohave a positive approach about everything in life. Most importantly, it wasemphasised that they should love themselves and never lose confidence.sessionended with vote of thanks by Ms. Vibhavari Chatur .

Design, Growth and Engagement Strategies) for startups,lncubation Center for

Entrepreneurs (lCE) and Presentation Methods. He interacted with many students

during his session and have spoken about Employability, Personal Branding and all

ingredients in a recipe for business startup. He talked about viability and how much

Alard college of pharmacy organized session of Mr. Surojit Saha on Future

Perspective in Financial Services for Final year Students. He told students that

opportunities in Financial Service lndustry will evolve over next few years and

according to survey reveals top challenges and opportunities global finance

executives.He explained that how rapidly is the pace of change accelerating for

financial services industry (FSl) firms, and how are leaders planning to navigate their

firms into the future. This was an interactive session interested students asked

REPORT:Mr. Manoj Singh, CEO of Orion Research is the first batch student alumni of ACP. He

delivered a talk on Clinical Research as a career option for pharma students. He also

advised the students to study the concepts and understand them with practical

examples rather than rote. He gave many practical examples to describe the scenario of

clinical research market and its scope in India. Students enthusiastically interacted with

him to learn this new avenue of career. Dr Sonia Singh, Principal thanked Mr. Manoj

Singh for his valuable time and inputs and requested him to provide our students

preferential opportunities for training and placement.

Activity Report:

Alard College of Pharmacy organized seminar on lntellectual Property Rights for third and

final year B Pharm student in seminar hall. On this occasion Ms.Srividya Raviwas invited

to share her views. She explained that lntellectual Property Rights are legal rights, which

result from intellectual activi$ in industrial, scientific, literary & artistic fields. These rights

Safeguard creators and other producers of intellectual goods & services by granting them

certain time-limited rights to control their use. She also focused on types of IPR and patent

certification. She provided examples of value-based patents issued to students for lP and

the financial gains associated with them. She described role of lPRs in growth and

development of start-ups, Governrnent of lndia schenes, guidelines for lPRs to facilitate

start-ups, start-up mntracts and agreenents and lP facilitators.

'The session ended with vote of thanks by Dr.Suruchi Vishwasrao. Ms. Rajani Nair was

coordinator for this session. Total 56 students were present for the session.
